Update: Enchong Dee was able to post bail tonight. A judge was able to process the necessary papers for the actor to leave detention after office hours.
Fashion PULIS source says actor Enchong Dee voluntarily surrendered to the NBI in QC this afternoon in relation to the warrant of arrest issued against him a few days ago. It will be recalled that Dee is facing a 1B case filed by DUMPER Party List Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim for an alleged malicious tweet.
Dee will be detained as the actor surrendered late in the afternoon. No court could thus process the bail.
Dee is facing Criminal Case No. 03(2022) for Libel (RPC Art 353) in rel. to 355 of the RPC in further rel. to Sec 4(c) (4) and (6) of RA No 10175.

ReplyDeleteAlam na nya ngayon, na hindi dahil celebrity sya and he has followers, and that he knows his influence has a certain degree of reach to the public, eh he can say whatever he wants to, to the point of accusing crimes to people he thinks that needs to be called out and he disapproves of. That’s not how freedom of speech works. Voicing opinions, contrary or not, is our right. But there is a fine line that we should all take precaution. Because when what we say injures the rights of others, that’s when the law steps in. There is no absolute exercise of a right, as all are subject to limitations and exceptions. Lesson learned hard for him. Dahil if noon sanay sya na mga tinitira nya sa socmed eh nanahimik na lamang, or mag-retaliate man eh thru socmed lang din, itong binangga nya ngayon eh di basta basta and is willing to go the far reach of the case, mabigyan lamang ng leksyon ang mga tulad ni Mr. Dee. He overstepped. Now he reaps what he has sown.

ReplyDeleteIt is how you react that defines you. Yun ang sagot sa tanong mo. So kung ni label ka ng tao without valid proof,and you reacted differently, you just allow them to validate their claims. Enchong is nobody, and the girl is someone in the politics with a good track record and financial capacity. She allow Enchong to define her more by simply doing so. Kung pinalampas niya and dedma to a nobody, then it says more about the person na nanghusga sa iyo. Kaya lang she choose to not let it pass kasi for her, mas tama ang turuan ng leksyon si enchong kaysa wag patulan. Parang sa mga chismosang marites lang yan, rule of thumb, wag mo patulan ang mga chismosa.
