I was once prediabetic, had PCOS and it all went away after I did intermittent fasting. I didn't take any meds and after doing intermittent fasting, my food addiction was gone and PCOS as well since I now have regular menstruation.
please have yourself checked still. with pcos minsan clear yung ultrasounds mo but it eventually comes back walang cure ang pcos. naging okay na menstruation ko for 2 years and all of a sudden nag spotting ako. ayun may endometrial cancer pala. most endo cancers starts with pcos.
Korek ka dyan sis :) But no doctor will prescribe intermittent fasting :) You know why? :) Because there's no money to be made by big pharma on intermittent fasting :) See guys, doctors will give you "maintenance" drug for life :) Just imagine how much money they will make if you take their drugs for life ;)
I think it’s not just because of intermittent fasting dahil diet and lifestyle change naman talaga ang solution. With intermittent fasting you consume less calories per day din kasi.
Grabe ka 12:52. I'm a doctor and I did intermittent fasting and I would recommend it to certain groups of people. We have the hippocratic oath and will give what is right to the best of our knowledge. Syempre minsan kasama dun mag reseta but thats not the only thing we do.
I'm sure every context is different but intermittent fasting helped me get back to normal bg levels as well after ko madiagnose na diabetic. Of course, nagpapractice din ako ng CICO at low carb at the same time pero nakatulong yung hindi maya't maya may fluctuations/spikes sa bg dahil sa kain ng kain. Hindi din ako masyadong nagkecrave or nagugutom.
Pcos doesn't mean it's gone just because you have regular period. Once you got diagnosed it will never go away. That's why it is recommended to have everything in moderation.
I have a friend who dont believe in doctors and maintenqnce meds. May mga bagay kasi na nasa dugo mo na kahit ano gawin mong diet diet or fasting whatever, exercise, it's all in ur blood na dahil hereditary sya.
Next is ito nga nagdidiet.
Pharma companies here hardly earn from metformin lolz. “Big bag pharma” doesnt really apply here in the Philippines—in fact, we benefit from the profit “big bad pharma” get in markets bigger than us. Pansinin mo, mas mura gamot dito versus sa US.
Also IF is not a holy grail. Diet to address weight issues, freaking medicine for diseases. You need maintenance medicine for diabetes because it’s a life-long disease.
No alcohol from now on.

ReplyDeleteNope. Type 1 tatay niya, type 2 siya. Gary was born with it, siya because of lifestyle yan. Magdiet and exercise siya, marereverse pa yan.
