Western culture upbringing nangingibabaw sa kanya yata and madalas they don't call their parents' partners as tito and tita.
If you watch Naman iyong vlogs nila you can feel the love and sincerity naman nila na mag step dad. And of course iyong pagmamahal ni Ellie sa mga half siblings nya. Huwag na natin lagyan ng kulay Po.
Di na uso yan. Besides, it maybe the family's decision. Calling the complete name of his stepdad is still a sign of respect. It's like they are good friends.
I call my mom's bf by his first name. It's not as if I don't respect him, but it also doesn't feel right to call him anything else. Maybe she's also considering her dad's feelings.
Pero sa ibang bansa kasi pag stepdad or bf ng mom who is not their dad, pangalan lang talaga ang tawag. Baka ganun din gusto ni Andi. Anyway, whatever makes Ellie comfortable. Ang important ok ang relationship nila. Sa mga vlogs nila maalaga si Philmar sa kanya while keeping a safe and respectful distance dun sa bata.
I admire them. Gusto kasi ng iba tito or papa yung tawag pero hay i dont wanna say na lang yung common scenario sa daughter & step dad :( They respect & care for each other, thats more important.
True. At mga bata ngayon iba na kinalakihan. Especially now dami streaming services, they watch and pick-up something from the shows. I see nothing wrong with Ellie addressing her mom's bf by his first name. It's very common outside PH.
Same 1am. Mama at papa ko din kaya now na may anak na, I tell may kids I love you mga 10beses sa isang araw or more. 😂 Maliliit pa kasi kaya hindi pa nagrereklamo. 😂
He's not related to her by blood. Kung ano gusto itawag ni Ellie sa kanya, that's her right. Kung gusto nya tawagin si Philmar ng Tito later on, that's okay too. I don't think she's ever gonna call him Papa or Tatay because she already has a dad who is very actively involved in her life. Mas maganda na she calls him by his first name to establish a relationship based on trust, and hindi kelangan ng honorifics para dyan.

ReplyDeleteAno naman kasing klaseng mga tanong yan from the dad. Kahit akong adult ganyan din isasagot ko. Or even duh.
ReplyDeletePait mo

ReplyDeleteTruth. As long as she respects him and he respects her, keber na ang tawag.

ReplyDeleteSame tayo. Pero my fiance and I are very malambing kaya gusto din namin pag nagkaanak kami expressive yung family namin.

Delete1:00AM Maybe your dad's love language is not verbal. Maybe he shows his love and affection in some ways.
Delete#mademesmile content to! Love it! Ang cute ng convo haha
ReplyDeleteNatawa ako sa why at no. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteAng cute lagi ng convo nila hahaha i like Ellie & her extended family talaga.
I like how he is respondsive to Ellie's message, parang pag message si ellie sa kanya may replay agad sya base sa time ng exchange ng convo nila.
