She has something to show off kasi. Tita Lea is indeed a Filipino icon.
I appreciate Lea’s bluntness and honesty. Tbh, I don’t think she’s mayabang at all. It’s just that she’s confident because she knows herself and worth. Grabe pa nga yung humility niya when she can easily say what she can’t do, what she doesn’t have, her limitations. Sanay lang siguro kasi tayo sa meek, yung tipong pa-humble but humility shouldn’t be mistaken as false display of lowering one’s worth. I like it when Lea accepts compliments and says thank you. That’s it. No arrogance in it.
12:49 Kaya sobrang respected siya in her field whether here or abroad kasi iba talaga yung work ethics niya. People want to work with her because she makes the work easy for all people involved.
@1:07 i agree with u, di sya mayabang lalo na sa achievements nya internationally. mahanash lang nman sya sa twitter pero its never about her, it is more like stating her opinions about certain social and political issues.
Wow! Galing naman! Make Filipinos proud Lea! Such a gem in the field of Arts carrying pride para sa ating lahat! Congratulations! Excited to watch her present sa Tony Awards. I'm sure it will bring good, old memories sa kanya.
They are not back to normal. Yes, they have some of these events but they are held outdoors with very limited audiences, social distancing and only the fully vaccinated are allowed. Gets mo. Know the facts.
She will always be relevant. Icon na talaga siya. Madaming artists of Asian descent in the theater world ang nagsasabi na siya yung pioneer and she was such an inspiration to them. Kahit nga si Sutton Foster na American Tony winner, si Lea daw nag-inspire sa kanya when she was younger and she wanted to be like Lea.
Really an icon we are proud of her. She only a Filipino who have a show at Sydney Opera House. Her audience it just Filipinos but residences as well many kids look after her they like to be lea. Especially kids who have musically inclined.
No, hindi siya mayabang. She states facts and it’s never about herself. She’s very smart and talented!!! Sikat siya sa New York respetado and gosh disney singer!
Oh my gosh. This post especially the comments makes me so happy! Ive been a Lea fan since sanrio /gift gate days and i cry ( im exagerating of course) kasi usually mas madami akong nababasa dito sa FP na nega comments, mayabang etc etc etc.. im so happy na finally people are understanding her, that she’s not mayabang nor full of herself, she’s confident, professional and speaks her mind. Thats how she is, it doesnt make her a bad person. I had the privilege of meeting her at the voice’s back stage and she was all smiles and even shook my hand. Syempre ako dumbfound, made a complete fool out of my self. Regretting it to this day, hahah
Madalas misunderstood siya because they think she’s arrogant only because she speaks her mind. Sa totoo lang for her stature, she has remained very humble. Di ko talaga siya makitaan ng ‘ere’. Napaka-simple pa. I love the fact that she’s not materialistic. She gives more value to the things that really ‘matter’.
@11:02 Charice would have been the next Hollywood star aside from Glee she was able to bagged a role in Here comes the Boom... but hay ok lang she chose thhe path that made her happy.

DeletePwede siyang magpakadiva pero di niya ginawa kasi super disciplined niya as an artist. Mas artist siya kesa celebrity

DeleteMayabang talaga siya since kabataan niya.
@1:07 i agree with u, di sya mayabang lalo na sa achievements nya internationally. mahanash lang nman sya sa twitter pero its never about her, it is more like stating her opinions about certain social and political issues.
Delete6:03 may distinction ang mayabang sa confident.
Deletewow

DeleteDeserved.
ReplyDeleteYES MAAM! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
ReplyDeleteDeserve naman, Lea Salonga yan. Tony awardee at hindi puchu ang achievement.
ReplyDeleteTony awardee and Laurence Olivier awardee
DeleteIto legit talent!
ReplyDeleteRachel Ann go..
Deleteis Hollywood your only measurement of legit talent? FYI, even in Hollywood or in US, there are many mediocre and ham talents.
Delete1:11 i think si Rachel ay sa UK, not in US/Hollywood.
DeleteThe western countries are already back to normal noh? Award shows, sporting events, fashion week, concerts. Tayo kaya when?
ReplyDeleteBut there's still threat of Delta variant. They're not as cautious as us and not as strict as our protocols.
They are not back to normal. Yes, they have some of these events but they are held outdoors with very limited audiences, social distancing and only the fully vaccinated are allowed. Gets mo. Know the facts.
DeleteMany events / concerts require negative covid tests here kaya ganyan

ReplyDeletePhilippa Soo, the original Eliza Hamilton in Hamilton told in an interview na si Lea Salonga daw nilo-look up niya at inspiration niya growing up
Congrats Lea. Deserve!

ReplyDeleteWOW😍😍😍😍😍
ReplyDeleteShe went to New York without fanfare and only announced her participation in this year’s Tony Awards when they announced it. Iba ka, Miss Lea.
ReplyDeleteHahaha totoo ‘to. Mahigit isang taon hindi lumabas ng bahay. Mga recent posts niya puro about sa pusa niya tapos next post, nasa New York na pala.
Deletebongga talaga c madam
ReplyDeleteLea Salonga is Lea Salonga. She is well recognized here and especially abroad. No one can take that away from her. She’s a Superstar!
ReplyDeleteAng totoong pinoy pride!
