During worktime, Lead Personnel (LP) noticed that Important Employee (IE) was distracted and projected low energy. Between tasks, IE was on her phone. Distraught was seen on her face; LP sensed something might be wrong with whomever IE was speaking to. The behavior of IE affected her zest for work, which did not sit well with LP.
IE was absorbing the frustration of The Speaker (TS), who was voicing out his unhappiness at the way a network was treating him. TS felt he was not given a huge welcome unlike the new talents of the network. They had press coverage and social media presence. Meanwhile, he was already given a go-signal to work and yet, no huge publicity was given him. IE tried to pacify TS, but clueless as she was, she could only listen. Between work, TS would ring up IE, and this frequency did not go unnoticed. LP could not let the distraction continue.
LP asked IE what the matter was and IE responded that TS was pouring his heart out. It was not really a big deal, but TS needed to be consoled. LP replied that TS had changed management, and his handlers are responsible for giving him projects. The network was merely a means for a project and TS is not considered an exclusive talent. Hence, TS should stop his nonsense theatrics and stop bugging her as she’s on duty.
IE could not wait and called TS. She scolded TS and told him he should be aware of the facts of his status. Instead, he made both of them fools with his drama.
