    3. Lol titles mean nothing. I wanna know the scope of his job. Or baka naman nakapasa din sa interview because the interviewers recognize him. There's all sorts of biases that exist talaga. Dito sa U.S, even if DEI is a big initiative in almost all tech companies, we still have a loooonnng way to go.

    4. Privileged people. Yung nga matatagal ng may work experience sa BPO na nag-aapply will not get a project manager position ng ganun-ganun lang. And then here's an actor na walang muwang sa corporate world naging porject manager agad.

    4. 12:15 Exactly my thoughts. Why would a company hire someone of a managerial position with no experience at all. Sounds questionable indeed.πŸ€”

      Delete
    5. True. Before ka maging project manager sa bpo you should know how the operation works that means you need experience. Most project managers even need certification.

      Delete
    6. If i were him, i would be embarrassed to tell the world that i was hired as project manager without any experience in regard to that field.

      Delete
    7. Ung last line nya ako napaisip. Baka di sya na regular sa work. Medyo questionable na PM agad sya unless kilala nya me ari nung kumpanya

    8. kung ang hr ay mga pinoy then expect the unexpected, they usually look for the school where you graduated and your course kung pangmayaman. bonus na lang kungnmay experience, this is what i have seen while working. they don't value tge employees na matagal na sa kanila, on one logistics company that I worked for, our finance supervisor was already working for them for almost 20 years he decided to apply for the dept. manager position. they didnt accept his application and told him to resign first on his current post, he resigned and guess what they didnt hire him for the dept. manager position despite the years of experience and good employee records.

    14. 12:46, try mo mag-isip.
may point naman yung tanong ni ka-FP. Once you tried working in the corporate world, malalaman mong may ladder talaga para sa simpleng employee, walang backer, walang kamag-anak na executive level. Imagine, no exp AT ALL tapos magmamanage ng tao & project? WTH?

      Delete
    15. Actually guys me companies talaga naghahire ng project managers kahit kaka pasok mo palang. Our company does that. You won't be managing people but small online projects.

      Delete
    16. I don't think he's telling the truth. No company will ever hire u especially in BPO world if u have no experience in that said field. Ops Manager ako for 5 years, when I tried to apply again with the same position I couldn't make it dahil andaming kakompetensya. Talino at experience ang labanan, thus I end up as Team leader ulit. Project manager, ano yun tutunganga ka? Zero knowledge. Baka agent. Nahiya lang magsabi ng totoo.

      Delete
    17. Baka kaya di nagtagal kasi wala syang alam sa PM job sa bpo...

      Delete

He is also well-traveled, another way to learn and experience life and people. Sa Unang Hirit, they do segments that they also learn to manage on the fly.

Usually may Six Sigma pa.

Good for him, though. He was given a high paying position agad.

    4. 1:10 obviously di ka nagwork sa BPO company. There are reasons as to why you see such comments. Pagnagwork ka sa BPO, you'll know that you have to start at an entry level and work your way up. Regardless, it will still leave a bad taste sa mga taong experienced at matagal na sa kumpanya. Ganyan sa IT corporate world and they are not being talangka. He should be ashamed sa totoo lang.

      Delete
    5. 2:22 Hindi makausad, bakit kaya? Maybe check your performance? I’m speaking from POV of an employer of a private company. Kung magaling ka talaga at feel mo shortchanged ka , please don’t waste more time at masasayang ka lang sa current company mo.

  35. I am proud of him na naghanap siya ng work pero kasi nakakapagtaka talaga na maging project manager ka if wala kang experience sa BPO or kahit anong corporate background. Hindi yun pambabash. For sure kasi maraming naapakan na mga tenured worker sa conpany na yun na nagpakahirap for a few years pero sa newbie binigay ang position. Maaaring hindi naman fault ni Juancho yun pero ang kino call out ng mga tao dito is yung HR bakit porke artista at guwapo manager agad. Hindi yun crab mentality. One account here in our company and title ng agents, logistics manager (B2B for a global shipping company) pero taga-track at encode sila ng orders, they don't really manage people.

  40. 16 yrs in BPO company here. wag po kayong magtaka if na hire sya as project manager agad. most of the accounts in a BPO needs someone who have a knowledge in marketing stuff or maybe an exposure to media. Project manager is a position that needs to think of a process improvement para tumaas sales or any strategies para ma meet demands ng client. Maybe my potential sya para dun. and when he said hindi tumagal kasi possible na for project basis lang sya not contractual pero we hired someone temporarily dahil nga may project na need ma achieve ung gusto ng client. kaya sa mga nega dyan at walang alam sa kalakaran ng BPO company quiet na lang po kayo - HR Manager

So yes, someone fresh from college can function as a project manager. That title doesn’t mean you’re above everyone else.

  57. Hey guys chill. I was in BPO for more than 10yrs. Not all Project Manager titles are managerial level or managing teams/manpower. Some BPO's have project managers as entry level positions. These companies are usually on data processing/back end. They still go through training and some would be regularized, some won't. Let's just be happy that BPO's are still hiring despite the pandemic.

  60. Daming bitter. Ano ba.

  61. BPO employee here! Hello po, his title may sound BIG because of “Manager”, but sometimes it’s just a title.. we have account managers or project managers but they are also staff (rank & file) levels. Maybe it just means he’s handling a certain project or account in the company. Like in ours for example, our corp department handles companies so they assign a certain staff to handle the needs of one company, they’re like the contact or liaison officer.. ganern..

    2. Exactly. Akala nila agad mala OM or site director yun position. Also, in IT ang nagcoconnect ng client and tech people is called a project manager. He sees the project through.

Equal opportunity may experience o wala.

  64. Sa mga pictures, it seems that he is in charge of advertising…media mileage where he has an experience so I will understand kung maging project manager siya. Maybe it’s also for a short-lived project lang din kasi di naman kailangan na palaging may advertising na ganyan kabongga ang BPO- BPO Recruitment Manager

  68. ang daming hanash dto. BPO since 1998. Nag OM, Nag Director. nag workforce, nag recruitment. MANAGER talga in the truest sense of the word.
