To anyone struggling, stay strong!! Always reach out to your family. Ako super strong ako but this pandemic has made me really weak :( paano pa kayo, diba?
Katabi ko siya one time sa airport, sobrang gwapo at ma-appeal. Di maarte din kahit sobrang dami ng tao na nagpapapicture. Happy that he's better and hopefully tuloy tuloy na.
Ganyan talaga kalakaran sa mga high end rehab. As long as may consent ng family nya on his behalf pwede gawin yun kasi hindi naman sya sasama on his own.
Sa tingin mo sasama sya ng maayos dahil ire rehab sya for 2 years? That's actually a humane way
Just check the rehab facility 25 years na sila kung may mali di sana marami na nagreklamo, may kaya sa buhay ang karamihan sa mga na re rehab MAGASTOS magpa rehab
Mahirap din yun sa family ni jm, if that's the only way para marehab gagawin talaga nila yun, ayaw parehab ni jm kaya wala siguro sila choice kaya ganun na lang ang iyak ng aunt mommy nya
Unfortunately, there is no other way to do it. I know someone who was depressed, to the point of being suicidal, and this is how she was "taken" as well, in an ambulance, sedated. Otherwise, they won't go easy.
not sure how's the practice in PH, but in the US, medical people can take a person away even without their consent, and yes, sometimes ganyan talaga, they have to pin the person down to make sure they're wouldn't be a threat to anyone, especially themselves. This is of course dapat consented ng parent/guardian.
I think its because they wont go voluntarily and they have used all means necessary to help them get help. Masakit to witness a loved one go through something like this, pero tough love kelangan eh.
Base sa mga reply, malaking pagkakaiba pala talaga pinas at canada and US on how the treat mental health patients. Dito only the patient can give consent, not the parents if you are already 14 years old and older. Deescalation does not involve injecting sedative/anti anxiety meds while being held up, that’s tantamount to battery/physical abuse. Restraints are a last resort, per his narrative tulog sya then nagising sya, then kinuyog na sya ng restraint by 6 people, then injected with something na katulog sya, thats blatant abuse by Canada’s standard kc a patient has a choice on his health decision kahit addict pa yan or schezophenic.

DeleteTeh ang traumatic ay yung depressive and self-abuse days nya. He says he's glad it's over.
DeleteSaka walang issue dun sa paghandle sa kanya. Pagdi madaan sa santong dasalan eh di sa santong paspasan.
In general mistreated talaga ang mental health patients dito
