This is so true. The more you fight the more they will show the monster in them. Even if you show them evidences, they will still deny it and put all the blame on you. Eventually they will have you questioning if there is something wrong with you. The gaslighting is on another level. They will leave you frustrated and broken. You will want revenge and destroy them... but no matter what you do or say, it won't affect them. They don't feel guilty.
The best revenge is to pay them no attention. Focus on you. Pretend they don't even exist.
Took me 2 years of counseling to remove the dark thoughts of taking revenge by shaming him on public... you will never win.

They will take, and take, and take, not only material things, but every aspect of life - praise, love, energy, attention, food, money, clothes, gadgets, decorations, you name it. In love, in work, in business.
Invested 10 years of my life and money in 2 (narcissistic) supposed friends of mine to start a business. In the end, they no longer needed me and my skills, replaced me, screwed me over, left me jobless and penniless, while they continued bragging about how wonderful and perfect their 'digital nomad' life is.
Red flags? Usually wala sa words - they are self-aware when they talk 'me, myself and I'. Makita mo sa effect sa life mo... lahat, parang papunta sa ikabubuti, ikagaganda nila. Then aasa ka sa kanila, let them direct you what to do. You realize unti unti silang umaangat, kumukomportable, habang ikaw, pahirap ng pahirap habang kasama mo sila.

Actually, I was disappointed when I heard they were together. Para kasing hindi bagay ang itsura kasi si Justin ang ganda ng mukha. I’m glad they’re separated now. Kahit naman noon sa PBB, feel ni THE Dawn, ang ganda ganda niya. Hindi niya alam, niloloko lang siya ng sarili niya.
