Face shield does not prevent covid spread/ and or getting infected. Wearing of mask, social distancing and washing/sanitizing hands do. Don’t they get it? A blanket mandate is just dumb. Not all situations require wearing one. Optional yes.

Ewan ko lang ha pag hospital or medical worker they use a face shield. Isip ko lang why would they use that kung hindi nakakatulong? Para sa akin I will wear pero hwag na Nila gawing mandatory for civilians. Suot na lang sino may gusto.
Sa Pinas lang yata may suot na face-shields ang health workers correct me if I’m wrong. Di hamak na mas maraming cases dito sa US pero health workers dito di naman pinapasuot nyan. Wala na nga mask mandate kahit NY. Vaccines talaga ang kailangan kaya ilabas na ang mga inutang at wag umasa sa donation.
Kasi naman te they are exposed to different kinds of patients and they have close contact with covid patients esp talk to them plus they are in a contained space. Gets mo?
1214 i we do use face shields but only in covid pt’s rooms. and may choice ka if faceshield or goggles; n95 mask + protective eyewear (or face shield) + gown/gloves.. hair net is optional. i wear a hair covering but a lot of ppl dont. sa kabilang ospital na pinagtatrabahuan ko, they require faceshield + mask (any kind of mask) but thats because of the kind of patients that they cater to: very high risk patients that are on long-term ventilators. faceshield are not required anywhere else although some ppl use them instead of a mask and acceptable din naman yun. imo, faceshields should be optional, at least sa outdoor setting. mahirap kaya huminga na naka n95 at faceshield.

I had a terrible experience in a restaurant in SBMA because of that st*p*d face shield. Yung galing ka sa labas pero gusto nila isuot mo yung shield bago ka pumasok sa pinto. As in kahit di mo siya suot pagdating mo sa restaurant nila pero once nasa tapat ka ng pinto, kailangan mo ilagay pero pagkapasok na pagkapasok mo pwede ng alisin agad. So parang 2seconds lang okay na. Anong point di ba?!

The Duterte govt can't even provide a clear decision on whether face shields should be required indoors or outdoors. Palpak sa lahat, hanggang kahit sa face shields. So why continue with this level of incompetence by electing another Duterte for six more years?!?
indoors doesn't mean na sa loob ng bahay mo lang.. indoors like workplace, church, grocery, etc. haist. kaya hindi umaasenso ang pinas, kulang sa education.
Debating about face shields is the least if our problems. Big problem is contact tracing and slow vaccination. Duterte has not changed his administration it's still the same people that have failed again and again. He values loyalty than performance, politics than public service.
Even before they announced that face shields are mandatory, I have been wearing one ONLY in closed/non ventilated spaces. However, if Im outdoors I dont think its necessary except public market, I guess. I mean it helps with people who wear masks below the nose Atleast there’s another layer of protection but yeah generally I dont think it should be mandatory
