What is with these toxic filipino values? The bashing, negativity and crab mentality, my dear need to stop. In the recent years, bashers used the social media platform to spread negativity and hate. Kapwa natin and we are the first one to put them down. Nakakahiya ang ganitong ugali ang needs to stop. Why cant we just be happy… yan tuloy, nakakahiya na talaga. A worker of mine used to say, filipinos used to be the warmest people in the world, whatever happened to that? Please be kind
Jo Koy is well loved in america especially by the filipino community. His shows are always sold out. His pinoy jokes are very appealing to those who misses home very much… very proud of him… ikaw girl, ano na accomplish mo sa bubay? Basher ka pa din…grow up! .
12:10 AM - actually Jokoy has a large non-Pinoy following. His jokes appeal to a lot of Americans. Besides if you don't find him funny, don't watch him.
Sa totoo lang ha, i think yung mga bashers na yan, they need psychiatrist, for me they need help may mga mental problems yan.
I watched and loved his first netflix show. pero the next one was kinda the same as the first so nedyo d na ako natuwa ng masyado. saba ibang jokes nmn.
3:23 because it will be cultural appropriation. The moment he make joke of other race/culture, he will be cancelled immediately. Super sensitive ng mga western people about race and gender ngayon.
minsan i feel malapit na bumagsak sa pagiging racist yung ibang jokes nya…. and offensive… lalo na ngayon people will try and try to look for something offensive to them just to make a point and to be a whining karen….
Ti c Jokoy lang ba napanuod mong stand up comedian? Lol
This is a big deal! To be represented on a national television network in the US, not just as an Asian but as a Filipino! So important pa naman ngayon ang visibility in light of recent events. So every hater can just calm down!
I don't like his jokes. I find it offensive and judging from the title of his movie, you can tell it's about the Filipino accent again and other pinoy stereotypes. FYI: Filipinos have a variety of accents because we have 100+ languages here so I don't know why Fil-Ams are obsessed about the P and F syndrome. I myself don't have the P nd F syndrome but in our region, we roll our RRRRRRs. I wonder if he already made jokes about the rolling RRRRRss?... Wala na ba syang ibang maisip na joke? If he's really creatively funny, he would find new materials for his comedy and not just making fun of pinoys.
11:35 comedians make jokes about stereotypes though! Gabriel Iglesias does that about Mexicans, Kevin Hart about black people...if it was another race doing it about a specific race, then that becomes offensive. It’s not even jokes about Filipinos, more like the Filipino American experience which sa totoo lang is so relatable kaya nakakatawa sya
Yan ba ang project he's doing with Mega?
ReplyDeleteNope the project he is supposed to do with sharon is a movie titled "easter sunday"
DeleteTia Carere got the role.
DeleteDi pa ba ubos ang adobo jokes at accent humor?
ReplyDeleteHindi dahil palaging me Toyo mga tao! Tulad mo tinoyo ka nanaman!

DeleteBitter
Delete12:10 dagdag mo pa tabo and domestic violence humor
Delete12:10 AM - actually Jokoy has a large non-Pinoy following. His jokes appeal to a lot of Americans. Besides if you don't find him funny, don't watch him.

ReplyDeleteOber deeeerrr (lips pointing)!
ReplyDeleteDyay bangeerrr!
He grew up in US but he's so proud to be a Filipino. His show is mostly about stories growing up having a Filipino mum and lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI liked him nong una but cringe na some of his jokes also lagi nalang jokes niya about Pinoys, Nanay niya and him as a Fil-Am
I spent $200 aud for his show pero last na yun. Abang na lng sa Netflix
DeleteI agree na some jokes are nakaka cringe
He will play the role of a nurse here.
DeleteI really don't find him and his jokes funny, his jokes about Pinoys is nothing new and and expected, but good for him his shows are sold out.
ReplyDeleteI watched and loved his first netflix show. pero the next one was kinda the same as the first so nedyo d na ako natuwa ng masyado. saba ibang jokes nmn. I love a comedian na wide range yung jokes prang si seinfeld. kung ano ano lng topic. family jokes are bery funny pero sana iba iba nmn
ReplyDeleteHis shtick is Pinoy jokes. Parang one hit wonder.
DeleteABC appreciates Jokoy's sense of humor. He's popular with all races. He's a funny man.
ReplyDeleteI watched lot of his shows on netflix, paulit ulit naman jokes nya, nakakasawa din.
ReplyDeleteGagawin n nmang katatawanan mga Filipinos. Alam nyang walang mgrereklamo. Bakit hindi kya subukang ibang lahi naman?
ReplyDelete3:23 because it will be cultural appropriation. The moment he make joke of other race/culture, he will be cancelled immediately. Super sensitive ng mga western people about race and gender ngayon.
DeleteHe has made fun of others too. Search mo
DeleteHmmm, I don’t like kalbo, so next na lang.
ReplyDeleteWow. Ang shallow mo.
Delete“Elebate da peet! Are you stupeeeedd?” 😂
ReplyDeleteHis recent netflix comedy special highlighted filipinos kaya! He went to the Philippines and featured local Pinoy talent
Deleteminsan i feel malapit na bumagsak sa pagiging racist yung ibang jokes nya…. and offensive… lalo na ngayon people will try and try to look for something offensive to them just to make a point and to be a whining karen….

ReplyDeleteSaan n c Rex Navarette? Sobrang nkakatawa rin yon. Lalo n yung Maritess and Superfriends
ReplyDeletehe is funny...the first time, and only if you already know what he is talking about. tapos wala na.
ReplyDeletekasi his jokes are specific to pinoys. they mostly don’t work beyond that.
Not true, he also jokes about other races, kaya nakakatawa at nakakarelate din ibang lahi.
Delete1:27 a few jokes about ibang lahi...that’s it. karamihan ay pinoy sa audiences niya due to jokes na pinoy talaga.
