Hear hear! I love BTS too and I'm certainly not a teen. I've also never been a fan of other groups, not even in my youth. I don't like their more girly look/vibe performances personally (Boy with Love and Dynamite), but most of their music's (which they compose/co-produce) really cool. The messages are so relevant and the way they convey them is always creative. Not everyone wants to hear about love, love lost, booties, cars and what have you. I also enjoy BTS variety shows - they are a breath of fresh air. Also, how they act behind the scenes make me doubt any are LGBT - not like it would matter though. Lastly, BTS are good role models - they stand for a lot of positive values and they use their influence for good. They're big EVERYWHERE.

Have you even heard of their advocacies? BTS partnered with UNICEF for the Love Myself campaign. It’s campaigns against violence toward children and teens around the world, with the hope of making the world a better place through music. Di maintindihan lyrics? Pwede naman igoogle ang meaning. Mahirap sya maintindihan ng someone who’s never experienced stanning a KPop group/Kpop idol ever in their lives. In a nutshell, KPop fan culture is super immersive and the relationship between idols and fans is just very different from what muggles or non KPop fans know. So it’s hard to explain the connection because anyone who’s never been a KPop fan won’t be able to understand or relate. These people you bash without knowing anything are believe it or not emotional and psychological support for a lot of people. Stanning KPop idols is a whole journey in a sense that every single milestone in their careers are experiences shared between fans and idols. KPop fans and their biases are more like close friends who support each other. They check on the fans frequently, not just when they need something. Everything they do, they do together. It’s sort of a teamwork. They treat their fans so well. Let them be. If you’re not into it, move along. No ones forcing anyone to like them. But man, he’s so if you’ve never experienced it, I’m telling you you’re missing a lot.

Music is not limited to any language. You don't have to understand to enjoy it. Hipokrita ka lang kung sa Kpop ka naiinis due to the language barrier when Filipinos have always welcomed foreign songs.
Bts have underdog depression because they were pressured to go under the knife by their management. The BTS members also know that some haters put them down because they starting to look like michael jackson and that they look like gays or lesbians. I hope lets all be kind to them because its not easy to be in their shoes.

Maybe you dont understand the hype but it was really not necessary for her to say things like she did. So unqueenly of her to criticize and discriminate. You dont like them? Okay. Sobra naman makapagsalita yung iba sa kpop idols nagtraining naman sila ng ilang taon! Hindi sila basta isinalpak nalang sa stage kaya yung mga fans kasama sa journey nila from day 1. Hindi sila basta empty shells na sumasayaw, nagpapa cute, magaganda ang suot. They’re more than that.

ReplyDeleteMusic is a universal language. It is not limited to understanding the language itself, but more of the melody, the lyrics, the emotion.
And, di ko ma-gets bakit pinopoint out ng mga tao dito is eto lang si ganito ganyan ang gwapo. Hindi na talaga maaalis sa mga Pinoy yung concept na dapat kapag puti gwapo. Sabagay may internalized discrimination nga sa atin dito mismo eh.
Also, sila mismo nagsusulat ng mga kanta nila most of the time, if not all.
Always remember that there is nothing wrong with having an opinion, but let us all start educating ourselves to do our research first before giving one.
And as for Imelda, there are things best kept to yourself, unless your goal really is to be recognized. While it is true that bad publicity is still publicity, hindi dapat lahat ipinopost sa social media, unless nga nagpaparelevant ka lang.

ReplyDeleteKaya nga tinatawag cla na idol. Sa korea kc idol is whole package. Face and fashion in short appearance. Sing and dance? Pinag aaralan nila yan kaya nga aabot ng 5-6 yrs training nila. Ibang idols 10yrs pa nga. Bago cla e debut o e showcase ng agaency nila dapat plantsado na sila... Di din biro maging idol dapat on point appearance nila kaya iba dadaan ng surgery. Discipline din sila sa katawan nila (physical). Totoo wla ako maintindihan sa lyrics ng kpop kaso mga songs nila is catchy. Mga MV nila is good quality. And the style the fashion? Talaga nman kakaiba. Talagang mapapansin ng millenials.

Nakiki-hate lang din ang nangaasar sa mga pamangkin who are armys. then one time, napanood ko James Corden x BTS, luh! gwapo ni Jungkook, then naging Jin Bias. Then nanood na iba videos and stories nila. Kahit di kagwapuhan ib and yes, may mga bading sa kanila..di naman nakasira sa pagka fan sa kanila. Di ko gets ano nagustuhan nila kay Suga at first, sobrang puti and singkit, pero now mygas! Love ko na sya dahil sa atittude nya and talent. To each their own lang talaga. Mommy Army here!
