I think arirang is geared towards international audiences to promote korean culture. Naalala ko when I was a kid they would feature korean food, traditional music/art, and history sa mga documentary at saka mga kpop songs with DJ Isak lol...that was before korean wave was a thing.
@1:51 Arirang is actually a great Korean channel like what 10:45 said, i remember during Home Cable days back in the 2000’s, pag napapadpad ang channel hopping ko sa channel na yan, talagang di ko namamalayan ang oras kapag anjan na, ang galing nang pagka-docu nila ng Korean Culture as in amazed talaga ang peg π♀️π♀️
Siguro dahil yun B&B nagustuhan talaga ng genral public unlike sa starbucks 2019 na kahit nagandahan din ako sa songs nila kasp pilot yun rise nila dahil sa fandom nila. OPM rise sila kung may papatok talaga silang kanta.
Grabe, tayo nandito sa Fashion Pulis tapos sila nominated sa Billboard at patuloy na nagsisikap. Kung di nyo type, wag nyo na lang laitin, Maritess. Sila may ambag sa international popularity ng Pinas, kayo?
I remember the word "arirang" from the theme song of the olympics 1988 in South Korea. "The song hand in hand we stand, all across the land" became very popular and in the last line od the chorus, the singer (band name is Koreana) shouted the word "arirang"
