Joey Reyes is a brilliant director and writer. The Korean government supports their entertainment industry as they saw this, during the early 90s, as their main "export" product to promote their industrial products. So they got their people who were educated and trained in the US to help them improved the k entertainment. Yun kpop was patterned after The Jpop particularly Johnny's agency.
siguro its about time na gayahin din ng Fil directors yung mga style na maganda sa Kdrama. Like mga 15 episodes tapusin na ang storya. Wag sobrang haba.
Pag Filipino laging alila o low paying jobs.
Pinoys will always bend over backwards para lang mapagbigyan at bigyan ng leeway ang mga foreigners who won’t even give equal rights & opportunities to Filipinos
Cheat On Me if You Can --one character was supposed to hide in the Philippines. He stayed in a shabby place. Nag-internet rin with Pinoy speaking extras. Haha!
Mouse -- one character played a mother whose son was abducted. Super acting naman si ate, in fairness. Haha!
Marriage Lyrics (Love and Divorce) --the mother of a female character lives in the Philippines. She brought pasalubong items (wicker basket, doll, etc). Haha!
Other dramas, Philippines is mentioned when a criminal/suspect flees Korea to hide in the Philippines. Go-to place ang Pinas. Haha!
Most asian countries look down on filipinos because they always suspect that fil women travelling alone are prostitutes..i’ve sern that happened in hongkong, macau, china imiigration..or these filipinas are going in their country to work illegally..they look down on us because they think most people here are poor and they work only as dh..besides that, some fils are so loud in public places minsan nakakahiya parang walang manners at nagchichismisan at may kasama pang mura sa kwentohan..sana naman iangat nila ang image ng mga filipino..
I think you're all hating too much. Honestly, it's because Filipinos support Korean Dramas and are more open towards accepting Korean Actors and this is because, throughout the years, Koreans have made Dramas/Manhwas/Music Videos/Etc. that are entertaining and fun to watch. Maybe, perhaps, Filipinos should, instead of judging others and other forms of media, focus on creating something that will be popular towards a wider audience (even better if it's an international audience). Then, perhaps, will start seeing more Filipinos in International Films too.
I don’t think the entertainment industry in the Philippines is any better. It’s that colonial mentality. Filipinos think foreigners and halfs are more superior even if their talent is lacking. They have better chances at breaking into the industry because of their fair skin and western features. If you look at the artistas that you know, most of them are mixed. I’ve also noticed that artistas who don’t have ‘western features’ or don’t have the ideal western beauty standards are typecasted into comedic roles or the ‘ugly friend’
Honestly, I think it's a fun take on a serious topic. What happens in the film actually happens in real life, however, they made it more fun and interesting.
Pero look at his films in the recent years lol. The irony.
