You're speaking as if homogeneous country parin ang Philippines after the Spanish Colonization. Huwag maging ignorante, please. Also, Margie Moran has Spanish and African-American blood. None of our Miss Universe winners are of "Pure Filipino" descent.
Sorry but I saw her during that time , also Gloria Diaz, and I was disappointed. They were not that beautiful in person. Like Meriam Q., they were not that regal looking. For me, Catriona and Pia are prettier and sophisticated.
I was 6th grade when I saw them first. Gloria was kinda different because many preferred mestiza that time. Then later in the 80s, I would see them in some functions.
2:36 AM FYI, lahat, as in LAHAT ng Miss Universe winners ng Philippines may foreign blood. And to answer your question, may mga indigenous Filipinas din na magaganda.
12:39 then dapat it’s about time for a change. The colorism in Philippine beauty pageants needs to change.
She’s so very gorgeous, poised, polished & elegant! She’s one of the epitomes of a pinay genuine beauty queen
8:51 ay shunga ibig sabihin before she joined the pagent eh ballerina soya kaya naktulong na maging poised siya palagi. Gamitin nmn natin utak natin pa minsan minsan
DeleteMargie's maternal grandmother was Irish. And paternal side is Spanish mestizo.

DeleteKasi besh may life sya at may businesses.
Deleteito yung elegante kumilos. Ballerina ata siya kaya poised na poised. Nag stand out siya during that contest.
ReplyDeleteBeauty queen nga sya teh. Ballerina ka jan. Beauty pageant sinalihan nya di ballet.
