it is because women have the freedom to do so if they want. and if you think it's wrong cause it "sexual", well it is not because the woman's body has been sexualized ever since.
12:46 yun nga rin ang tanong ko. Ganito n b kaadvance ang "feminist" kaya hndi ako naupdate? Nakakalito kasi having "sex" like perfomance is never an empowering to women.
Ano Ang women empowerment dito??? It’s too vulgar! Do they have to resort to this sexual stripping performance just to gain popularity?? Haler! This is not Women empowerment at all!
12:46 Agree na agree! Making music with lyrics like WAP don't empower women... performing like that of Cardi B et al...just degrades women. To all you "woke" Gen x and z's..you can defend it all you want, but the reality is...jut look at your generation now. No need to expound on it.
mga progressive liberals kasi ang mentality sa states. like pro abortion equates to my body my choice movement ganern. slut shaming = anti feminism. ganern na mga youth ngayon... kaloka.. mga pa woke pa mga yan. aawayin ka tlga kung hamukin mo ideals nila lmao
Guys, they literally went through the motions of scissoring ON STAGE. You know what scissoring is? Kahit lalake or LGBT, if they performed movements ng sexual act on stage for the whole world to see, definitely ma-criticize yan! Ladies, you can be empowered without being slutty.
1:37. yeah sure let women be what they want to be but just don't throw away their sense of modesty. they weren't born animals... even my dogs still have a sense of shame pag napapagalitan.
Would you all be saying these if it were MEN though? That's the question. He was attacked because why not call out the male rappers too who doesn't sing anything else other than getting money, b*tch3s and s*x?
Empowering women na yun? Cge pasayawin mo ng ganun lola at mama mo te. At yung let women do what they want ek-ek sige tuloy nyo pagfofloor show na hubad at wag magalit kung manonood husband nyo ha kasi tinatangkilik lang naman ang meaning ng women empowerment mo teh.
1.00 well, decision comes with responsibility and accountability. So if that's what you want to do with ur life so be it but remember the world doesnt owe you and i understanding. So suck it up! And to burst your bubble more, many Americans didn't like what they saw. Go check YouTube and defend your motto!
Walang masama sa sinabi ni kuya. Gusto natin bilang babae ng respecr diba? Yung gire gire nila cardi b dyan equates to women empowerment??? Di ba hindi, it is highly suggestive sexual moves and then we ask for respect pero says otherwise.
1:17 nacricriticize din po ang mga lalaki for doing sex like performance. From what i remember, GDragon do something like this and Korean criticize him for doing it.
Baklang manicurista, basahin mo nga uli ang comment mo. Saan ang logic? Duterte supporter sya, pero how sure are you na agree sya sa lahaaaaat ng ginagawa ni duterte? Itong sinasabi niya about cardi b, ibang sentiment to. Bakit kelangan ihalo ang political?
Ganito na lang, there’s a reason why strip clubs, beer gardens or whatever you call them has strict regulations such as age restrictions etc. Not for everyone to see specially minors kasi nagpapakita sila ng provocative, sexualizing performance. I can’t see any empowering here.
Nah. That performance sucked but poverty plus non-existent na reproductive health support/sex education ang dahilan ng teenage preganancies. Yung mga nabubuntis din tend to have a lower socioeconomic standing, they most likely don't have as much access to the internet to consume these things on the regular. But teenage pregnancies...I don't see it unless may study proving otherwise.
Dont blame the media for teenage pregancies. Blame the lack of sex education rather. Lahat tayo may sariling judgement if we wanna do it or not, pero we all have limited options kung may nangyari. Nakakalungkot na my husband still gets weird looks from other customers when he is buying condoms at the pharmacies even though he's a full grown adult.
Nope kaya may teenage pregnancy because of lack of sexual education in schools and lack of condom distribution.
You immediately connect is as a form of gimmick and then connect it with onlyfans. Ikaw yata ang may problema with the way you objectify women and your misogynistic views.
Ipagpalagay natin na lalaki ang nagperform ng ganun, sing or rap songs about sex or the shape of women's bodies, would you also see that as a problem? Obviously not.
1:55 napanood mo ba? Kahit lalaki magperform on stage and blatantly go through motion ng humping, may masasabi talaga. Alam mo ba yung ginawa nila Cardi B kung ano yun? That's how two women make love. It's not the dress, it's the obscene actions.
1:55 stop exaggerating. There’s a decent way of doing things and it’s not stripping and being vulgar. I don’t care Anong taon na ngayon. Malaswa pa din ang malaswa. Tigilan niyo kaka “woke” niyo masyado ng malaswa and wala ng decency. Nothing empowering about it if you ask me. You can be sexy sa pagiisip at sa pagpresenta sa sarili mo na hindi bastos
a lot of people have the same thoughts on this performance. i'm a woman but i want to honestly say that i did not think those dance moves are empowering. we all know it's for attention and hardly to showcase their talent.
Exactly. Lots of young filipinos nowadays buy into the brand of western feminism, which I don't get cause iba ang context sa atin, napakarare sa pilipinas ng mga nagdadabble sa s work because they want to unless high profile s worker sila. Usually dala ng kahirapan at desperation/lack of social mobility ang dahilan kaya nagreresort ang mga pinay sa s work. Marami din na menor de edad nagsisimula. Ang focus dapat sa feminism sa atin is yung right ng nga babae to do dignified labor na hindi labag sa loob nila or na hindi sila naeexploit, o di kaya edukasyon, proteksyon sa domestic violence/objectification/hypersexualization, reproductive health, divorce, etc. Western countries already have those things so kung ano ano nalang ang pinaglalaban nila, but pinays can only dream of what privileges these western women have. This type of feminism have nothing to do with us. This is not our reality so this shouldn't be st the forefront of brown asian feminism. A menor de edad prosti from the slums won't feel empowered watching that performance, they need something tangible and they need an actual voice.
To be honest, ang laswa tlga ng performance nila Cardi. Nagawa nila icensored ang salitang "bucket" pero hndi naicensored ang ganitong performance which is super questionable.
As for bts, well they really worked hard and they deserve recognition but fans should respect other people's hard work. Grabe ang ibang army s pamamaliit kay na Lady Gaga and Ariana just because they are the one won the best duo or group award. Please army, kung gusto nyo ng respect, respect others too. Sobra n tlaga kayo. Youre so toxic.
Ps. Bts should really fire their stylist, npakaboring ng mga damit nila recently.
True..magaling na artists din sila Lady Gaga..as a BTS fan wala ako prob sa results..baka hindi pa tlaga time ng BTS..I'm pretty sure being nominated is already a huge achievement for them..yung ibang ARMYs talaga over magreact..that's why kahit fan ako ng BTS, I dont want to be identified as ARMY..
1:34 AM on any platform, sobrang kalat ng comments ng army. Maybe not all army are like that pero SOBRANG DAMI na kung pinakawarfreak fans ang topic, army agad maiisip ng iba. Ganyan na nama noon sa jonas brothers.
I'm a swiftie and we have pasaway co-fans din pero never naging reputation ng entire fandom yan. You should be calling out co-fans kasi tatak na ng army ang magpakawarfreak sa youtube, Twitter, reddit, etc
Totoo namang stripper si cardi ba. Bakit galit ang mga fans? Not a Richard poon fan pero hindi naman talaga musicians ang mga rapper na Yan, kundi pa sila umastang ganyan wala namang papansin sa kanila. Yung kabataan ngayon Kung ano anong gimik Para sabihin irespeto sila, aber gawin nga Yan ng nanay mo tingnan natin Kung matuwa ka.
Totoo naman. Jusko kalaswaan.
I'm shocked that people sided with these 2 trashy singers. This is not art. This is trash. For the ratings ?
True. Para sa mga woke generation, women empowerment is about being able to dress sexy and dance sexily. Yun lang.
Some calls their performance as empowering women performance? Oh no, that is not how we empower women, we are putting women way below where they should be. Would I want my daughters gyrate while singing trash laden song? No thank you.
As a woman, do I feel empowered with their performance? Certainly No, I felt ashamed. Nakakababa ng morale yung production number. I am against DDS but Im with Richard in this issue. Yuck lang mga pawoke
Thats how Megan and Cardi would like to express their femininity, sexuality and embracing love for their bodies. If you see that as a reason and argument why women are being objectified, ikaw ang may problema.
Lets apply your context to men doing sexy numbers and selling music about drugs and objectifying women, I dont think magiging big deal sayo yun.
-If ayaw nyo makita ng kids nyo, then maybe monitor what they are watching kase trabaho ng magulang yan. If they do end up watching it, then educate them.
-I don’t understand why women being sexual is such a grave sin but when guys do it, it’s considered normal. Double standards indeed.
-Simple lang yan, if their performance doesn’t hurt you, then wag makialam.
Hahahaah. Why are there people like you? Nakakahiya. Tama ang “do” because the subject is ‘low lives like Cardi B’, not just ‘Cardi B’. If di ka sure what verb tense to use, try replacing the noun/s to pronoun. In that sentence, ‘low lives like Cardi B’ when turned into a pronoun is ‘they’. So it will be ‘They DO this to sell music’. Aral muna bago ka magcorrect, pa-dear dear ka pa dyan.
1:46 magiging big deal. imagine men doing those acts in a production number, it will be a big issue for me! iba na talaga femininity ngayon, instead na maempower ako as a woman e nadiri ako
1:46 but they (Cardi B and Megan) are the one objectify themshelves to the public as they or everyone knows that S3X SELLS. Also, Grammy or any award bodies is considered as family shows as many families watch this shows. So hahayaan mo n lng n mapanood itong live sex or soft porn s mga anak mo just becuz its a femenist thing??? I question your feminist thinking.
1:46 First off, you are full of assumptions. It’s a big deal rin when men are doing sexy numbers and selling music about drugs etc. So mali ka dun.
Being too liberated can be detrimental. There is a limit to how much you should “express” yourself in public, to a general audience. If doing such dances is the only way they could “express” themselves, then there’s a problem with their mindset. They are too shallow, and so are people who defend their actions.
I dont want my daughters to see this performance on stage. There is a proper venue for everything. Ito ay not for a 'prestigious' award show. Nakakaloka. What is empowering pagsimulate ng sex on stage? May porn sites for these kind of things.
Acts of sexual intercourse gagawin on stage na napapanood ng maraming kabataan?
Wala nang dating ang mga awards shows dito sa US. Hollywood is the least trusted industry.
This is not Women empowerment! This is putting women at it’s lowest where we should not be!
I don’t like Cardi either, and probably would’ve thought the same if I watched the performance. Music nya din kasi bastos, like i skip nalang pag biglang nag play sa today’s hits. cringe!
I don't mind Richard Poon. Yes, Richard Poon's songs are boring but there's no doubt he can sing. Pero don't lump me with those wanna be feminists na genz na mahilig magsabi ng men are trash. Kasi hindi ako ganun. Reasonable feminist ako with a good boyfriend. Hehehe. Hindi ako tulad ni Valerie Solanas na nag start ng SCUM manifesto which means Society Cutting Up Men and yung nirerequire niya Sa male members na magsabi ng, "I'm a turd, a lowly abject turd." Kasi powtek kalokohan yun.
Ha ha ha... women empowerment :) To all women out there, can you do the same performance in front of your whole clan? :) Please try that during your Sunday get together :)
The mere fact na sinabi mo na your clan is not judgmental eh you already judged others. Read between the lines!
Buti nalang si Taylor Swift ina-idolize ko. Sobrang disente. Congrats girl on your Album Of The Year.
And just how are those performances empowering Women??? Saan at paano?
May point naman si Richard pero i have a soft spot for Cardi B. I do not find the performance malaswa. It was ok lang. Wala naman nakahubad and yung dance moves nila was kinda creative pa nga. Wap wap wap! Macaroni in a pot!
Malaswa naman talaga yang si Cardi B. I’m a woman and what she’s doing is not empowering for me. They are at the top of their games and they empower women pa nga.
Waste of time manood sa kanya lalo pa wala din siyang sariling song. Suplado din yan. Napanood ko ang ibang crooners like Christian Bautista and even Erik Santos and naenjoy ko naman sila. Mababait din sila di tulad nitong so Richard.
Given the lyrics, outfits and movements - what's empowering about that? They cheapened themself and basically invited objectification. I'm a woman and I found it sad. Attention seeking wh****g is not empowered, it screams the absence of self-resoect.
I agree with him and quite surprised at how people commented on his post.
What was empowering about the production number? The host’s comment showed (I had a dream... I was in bed with Cardi...) exactly how objectifying the dance number was. The power was just taken away from women.
good luck sa generasyon na to na lahat na lang pa woke, wala nang proper or improper, gagawin kung anong gusto nila. i get what Richard Poon is saying. that is not in any way empowering women. what empowered woman feels great after watching that? eto ang generation who throws the word ‘misogyny’ at people who express their opinions or show ideals that go against theirs.
women who disrespects their own body and then screams to demand respect from others especially from men is not what women empowerment is all about. kakasuka kayong mga pa woke generation kayo.
and to those people who say double standards, NO, if male artista did that we’ll still call them out for being improper. mga echusera.
This is funny. Dear Mr. Poon, like you said it's POP CULTURE. EVERYONE IS BUYING IT. if ayaw ng mga anak nyo at ng Philippine culture, then don't watch and support. Mr. Poon, I suggest you first rant about our local talents na sumisikat na wala Namang talent. kung Ang Philippine talents nga natin wala Kang magawa, wag paki alaman Ang bigger stage.
Kung yung mga bashers nga nya at ung mga nagtatanggol don sa performers eh may karapatan magexpress ng opinion, eh di lalo na si Richard Poon who stands by the right morals and decency we all should uphold.
I agree with Richard Poon. performing sexual act on stage is a big no-no. Cardi B doesn't even want her own daughter to listen to WAP or watch the video.
When we were little kids, we look forward to the Grammy Awards each year. It is the best of the best in the music industry. The Gold Standard. Look at it now. Strutting and grinding and bukaka on stage. And young people are defending that?
Para sa woke generation WOMEN empowerment = being able to express ‘femininity’ and ‘love for body’ by wearing suggestive clothes and doing suggestive dance moves.
Di na ba talaga pwedeng i empower niyo ang sarili niyo by respecting your body??
I SUPER AGREE WITH RICHARD OKAYYYY. Yung mga nag comment mga bagets pa, they're mad, ayaw nilang mapagsabihan kasi they think yung nakikita nila from TITA CB is appropriate. Enebeee
E pano kung yun ang opinion nya? May opinion kayo, go state it as well.
MYOB poon. You even petend may NPA issue tayo just to suck up. How dare you. Id choose cardi and megan thee stallion over your mocha or you any time. You who encourage EJKs would slut-shame a woman. Shame on you!!! You didnt just sell your clothes and body, you sold your soul to the devil! You thought you'd get clicks from the BTS army? People who support good like the BTS wouldnt support trash like you!
I agree with Richard. For the ladies that watched the performance, do you feel empowered? Did that give you the needed confidence to do the same thing? Would you want your little daughter to see that and say you should be like them?
richard poon aint wrong tho. since when was stripping an empowerment to women?
ReplyDeleteThis!
DeleteTrue. Imagine your daughter, niece or younger sister watching this. It is inappropriate, bali-baliktarin mo man.

yun idol nya number na BASTOS SA MGA BABAE.
Pls lang teh ,
wag kang PLASTIC.
Tama. Masyado lanb madami din feeling matatalino this bends what proper and not.

DeleteI agree with poon and it goes both ways. I dont like it when male performers take off their shirts and gyrate on stage.
DeleteThat's not hot. And for women, it's not empowering. For any gender, it's trashy.
DeleteEmpowering dahil kahit ano pwedeng gawin regardless of boundaries.
Ganito na lang, there’s a reason why strip clubs, beer gardens or whatever you call them has strict regulations such as age restrictions etc. Not for everyone to see specially minors kasi nagpapakita sila ng provocative, sexualizing performance. I can’t see any empowering here.

TAMA NAMAN PLASTIC MO POON
LIKE DUH
Mahalay at malaswa talaga.
DeleteGets ko si Richard. This is what the children sees, kaya daming cases ng teenage pregnancy. They are being opened to "sexuality" at an early age.
ReplyDeleteNah.

ReplyDeleteExcuse me. Mas the who ka haha

Trying hard na singer thats who he is!
DeleteHINDI SUMIKAT KAYA DI MO KILALA

Delete1.55 Paano kung gawin yan ng nanay mo sa fiesta ninyo, wouldn't you see that as a problem?
Delete1:55 tasteless naman talaga mapababae o lalake
Deleteuy bat alam mo yung only fans
Deletea lot of people have the same thoughts on this performance.
ReplyDeletei'm a woman but i want to honestly say that i did not think those dance moves are empowering. we all know it's for attention and hardly to showcase their talent.
Deletehindi porket feminist, bastos ang dapat pausuhin. Ibang kultura yan. Wag nyo itolerate na tama porket uso. Napapanood yan ng mga anak nyo.
Delete1 40 thanks for this comment.
Bakit mag-aadjust yung ibang tao eh trabaho niyo yun? Kaloka mga boomer!
DeleteHindi mo kailangan ng anak to be able to discern what really empowers women.
Wag kang shunga bels dyan.
If thats how they express the dance wala ako problema.
Does that mean gusto ko yun? Nde.
But i RESPECT their choice
Klaro?
To be honest, ang laswa tlga ng performance nila Cardi. Nagawa nila icensored ang salitang "bucket" pero hndi naicensored ang ganitong performance which is super questionable.
ReplyDeleteAs for bts, well they really worked hard and they deserve recognition but fans should respect other people's hard work. Grabe ang ibang army s pamamaliit kay na Lady Gaga and Ariana just because they are the one won the best duo or group award. Please army, kung gusto nyo ng respect, respect others too. Sobra n tlaga kayo. Youre so toxic.
Ps. Bts should really fire their stylist, npakaboring ng mga damit nila recently.
Sorry if i dont make myself clear.
Delete-12:57
True..magaling na artists din sila Lady Gaga..as a BTS fan wala ako prob sa results..baka hindi pa tlaga time ng BTS..I'm pretty sure being nominated is already a huge achievement for them..yung ibang ARMYs talaga over magreact..that's why kahit fan ako ng BTS, I dont want to be identified as ARMY..
Delete1:34 AM on any platform, sobrang kalat ng comments ng army. Maybe not all army are like that pero SOBRANG DAMI na kung pinakawarfreak fans ang topic, army agad maiisip ng iba. Ganyan na nama noon sa jonas brothers.
DeleteI'm a swiftie and we have pasaway co-fans din pero never naging reputation ng entire fandom yan. You should be calling out co-fans kasi tatak na ng army ang magpakawarfreak sa youtube, Twitter, reddit, etc
may point si richard, ang baba na ang grammys. one singer would need to show skin ew right
ReplyDelete12:59
DeleteSus. Isa kapang plastic
Totoo namang stripper si cardi ba. Bakit galit ang mga fans? Not a Richard poon fan pero hindi naman talaga musicians ang mga rapper na Yan, kundi pa sila umastang ganyan wala namang papansin sa kanila. Yung kabataan ngayon Kung ano anong gimik Para sabihin irespeto sila, aber gawin nga Yan ng nanay mo tingnan natin Kung matuwa ka.
Delete1.36 that's the kind of language they understand so why not say it? Lol - not 12.59
DeleteTotoo naman ah the young ones are looking up to these artists who are acting like trash for the world to see 🤦♀️
Ewww.
ReplyDeleteMare, lack of sex education ang sisihin mong root cause bago mo silipin yung media.
DeleteMeh.
DeleteI'm shocked that people sided with these 2 trashy singers. This is not art. This is trash. For the ratings ?
ReplyDeleteTrue. Para sa mga woke generation, women empowerment is about being able to dress sexy and dance sexily. Yun lang.
DeleteSome calls their performance as empowering women performance? Oh no, that is not how we empower women, we are putting women way below where they should be. Would I want my daughters gyrate while singing trash laden song? No thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt's not mere gyrating nga e. Sexual movements na yun. Female-female that's how they do it.
As a woman, do I feel empowered with their performance? Certainly No, I felt ashamed. Nakakababa ng morale yung production number. I am against DDS but Im with Richard in this issue. Yuck lang mga pawoke
DeleteBut he’s absolutely right. It’s ironic how women are fighting not to be objectified and yet low lives like Cardi B. do this to sell music.
ReplyDeleteThats how Megan and Cardi would like to express their femininity, sexuality and embracing love for their bodies. If you see that as a reason and argument why women are being objectified, ikaw ang may problema.
DeleteLets apply your context to men doing sexy numbers and selling music about drugs and objectifying women, I dont think magiging big deal sayo yun.
Does* , my dear 107
DeleteTama si 107, 'Do' kasi 'low lives' yunh subject...plural yun..
DeleteThe only decent comment here is 1:46.
Delete-If ayaw nyo makita ng kids nyo, then maybe monitor what they are watching kase trabaho ng magulang yan.
Delete1:46 Uhm, do men fight for empowerment and not to be objectified ba?
Delete1.46 Oh! So, you mean to say there's ONLY one way to express femininity and sexuality. Well, good luck w/ that because you are not in Mars. - 1.07
Delete1:46 magiging big deal. imagine men doing those acts in a production number, it will be a big issue for me! iba na talaga femininity ngayon, instead na maempower ako as a woman e nadiri ako
Delete1:46 but they (Cardi B and Megan) are the one objectify themshelves to the public as they or everyone knows that S3X SELLS. Also, Grammy or any award bodies is considered as family shows as many families watch this shows. So hahayaan mo n lng n mapanood itong live sex or soft porn s mga anak mo just becuz its a femenist thing??? I question your feminist thinking.
DeleteMy dear 2:31, pakiexplain naman grammar rules.
Delete1:46 First off, you are full of assumptions. It’s a big deal rin when men are doing sexy numbers and selling music about drugs etc. So mali ka dun.
DeleteBeing too liberated can be detrimental. There is a limit to how much you should “express” yourself in public, to a general audience. If doing such dances is the only way they could “express” themselves, then there’s a problem with their mindset. They are too shallow, and so are people who defend their actions.
ReplyDeletePerformances like this should be limited sa shows with strict content na hindi mapapanood ng kids.
DeleteCorrect!
Delete"Shuta" is that even a word? hahaha
DeleteNope, we just know what decency means compare to you na mahilig sa pop culture NA KAHIT INAPPROPRIATE at kalaswaan na eh go pa din.
DeleteWala ka pa atang anak kaya di mo nagegets
It's not even empowering women, kundi sexualizing women.
I dont want my daughters to see this performance on stage. There is a proper venue for everything. Ito ay not for a 'prestigious' award show. Nakakaloka. What is empowering pagsimulate ng sex on stage? May porn sites for these kind of things.
Delete1.09 Degenerate spotted! Lol. Well, good luck w/ your motto after all, the world doesn't owe you understanding!
DeleteHaving morality and a sense of decency don’t mean backward thinking. You wouldn’t understand us ANON 1:09 am
DeleteTotoo naman talaga sinabi ni Richard Poon. Kaya andaming kabataan ngayon mga sabaw at suprficial because look at who they listen or look up to-trash.
Oh well pandemic kasi Kaya lahat gagawin for the sake of being sikat and relevant.
Acts of sexual intercourse gagawin on stage na napapanood ng maraming kabataan?
DeleteCan't believe this generation...
ReplyDeleteEven Cardi B does not want her child to hear WAP. She knows it is wrong, pero pag sa children ng ibang tao, ok lang.
ReplyDeleteWala nang dating ang mga awards shows dito sa US. Hollywood is the least trusted industry.
ReplyDeleteThis is not Women empowerment! This is putting women at it’s lowest where we should not be!
ReplyDeleteTrash music!
ReplyDeleteAmerica is not a beacon of morality :) Daming pedophiles at uto utong tao sa US of A :)
ReplyDeleteTrot yan Dami pa pakialamera
DeleteI don’t like Cardi either, and probably would’ve thought the same if I watched the performance. Music nya din kasi bastos, like i skip nalang pag biglang nag play sa today’s hits. cringe!
ReplyDeleteUh Beyoncé’s album is way better naman.
ReplyDelete1:35 I agree. Nagiging sexy dancers na ang mga nagtitiktok. Wearing sexy clothes pa. Yun simpleng sayaw , ginagawang malandi with matching chest out.
Level 5
ReplyDeleteI agree kay Richard Poon. Alarming yung performance, and bilang babae di sya kaempower empower.
ReplyDelete1:38 I'm also with Richard Poon on this issue.
DeleteEven Cardi B. herself won't let her daughter hear her own song.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Richard Poon.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha... women empowerment :) To all women out there, can you do the same performance in front of your whole clan? :) Please try that during your Sunday get together :)
ReplyDelete✔️💯💯💯
DeleteI can do that because my clan is not judgmental. ;) Stay pressed. :)
The mere fact na sinabi mo na your clan is not judgmental eh you already judged others. Read between the lines!
DeleteAre you sure 12:57? You know what goes on in the minds of your entire clan? Good luck then by all means do that.
DeleteWHAAATT 12:57???? PERFORMING SEX LIKE THING IN FRONT OF YOUR FAMILY??? REALLY?? Okay. 🙃🙃🙃
DeleteButi nalang si Taylor Swift ina-idolize ko. Sobrang disente. Congrats girl on your Album Of The Year.
ReplyDeleteagree with Richard Poon. Buti karamihan dito nakukuha ung point nya.
ReplyDeleteI agree with RP here but I don’t agree associating with Mocha Uson
ReplyDelete2:59 walang masama sa picture 'teh. Wag haluan ng pulitika. Diyosmio
DeleteSome people need to relax.. I highly recommend some WAP WAP WAP in your life. You know WINE AND PIZZA.. lol
DeletePuede naman sumikat if you got the face, the talent and the right marketing..di na kailangan magladlad ng katawan!
ReplyDeleteAnd just how are those performances empowering Women??? Saan at paano?
ReplyDeleteMay point naman si Richard pero i have a soft spot for Cardi B. I do not find the performance malaswa. It was ok lang. Wala naman nakahubad and yung dance moves nila was kinda creative pa nga. Wap wap wap! Macaroni in a pot!
ReplyDeletethis is not feminism, this is promoting prostitution.
ReplyDeleteSorry, pano naging empowerment yun? You can be sexy without being trashy.
ReplyDeleteIt's his opinion. If you disagree with it, too bad. If he's a nobody then why are you all affected?
ReplyDeleteMio talaga! Agree ako with Richard
ReplyDeleteTotoo naman wala ng sense ang grammys panu ba naman mga new set of artists panay kabastusan ang pinapauso ang cheap
ReplyDeleteMalaswa naman talaga yang si Cardi B.
No wonder why Grammy's viewership plummeted so badly. While they think bad publicity is still publicity, people have had enough.
Prostitution of women ain't cool. Stop promoting it.
ReplyDeleteAng tacky naman kasi talaga eh. Yung iba sa audience looked uncomfortable and awkward while watching it.
ReplyDeleteI think WAP is a fun song. Nonsense but fun.
ReplyDeleteGiven the lyrics, outfits and movements - what's empowering about that? They cheapened themself and basically invited objectification. I'm a woman and I found it sad. Attention seeking wh****g is not empowered, it screams the absence of self-resoect.
ReplyDeleteGrabe naman kasi. Parang sexual act yung performance nung dalawa. Meron pang pumatong yung isa saka nag up and down yung hips
ReplyDeleteI agree with him and quite surprised at how people commented on his post.
ReplyDeleteWhat was empowering about the production number? The host’s comment showed (I had a dream... I was in bed with Cardi...) exactly how objectifying the dance number was. The power was just taken away from women.
Regardless of gender, there’s a big difference between being sexy and being obscene. Hindi na empowering yung ganyan.
ReplyDeletegood luck sa generasyon na to na lahat na lang pa woke, wala nang proper or improper, gagawin kung anong gusto nila. i get what Richard Poon is saying. that is not in any way empowering women. what empowered woman feels great after
ReplyDeletewatching that? eto ang generation who throws the word ‘misogyny’ at people who express their opinions or show ideals that go against theirs.
Agree with him
ReplyDeletewomen who disrespects their own body and then screams to demand respect from others especially from men is not what women empowerment is all about. kakasuka kayong mga pa woke generation kayo.
ReplyDeleteand to those people who say double standards, NO, if male artista did that we’ll still call them out for being improper. mga echusera.
wow. not this woke generation thinking that performing scissoring on stage is a form of women empowerment 😂😂😂 isang malaking good luck sa inyo🤣
ReplyDeleteVery simple rules to live by
ReplyDeleteRespect the opinion of others.
Respect how he airs it. It is his personal space in a public forum. Up for debate.
Well, in fairness, he is right. Both Cardi and Stallion are awful.
ReplyDeleteMeh, it’s not about women empowerment. It’s just that they don’t have much talent. Dinadaan lang sa ek ek.
ReplyDeleteNagpapacool lang yung mga nagcocomment against Richard Poon. May point si Richard.
ReplyDeleteThis is funny.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Poon, like you said it's POP CULTURE. EVERYONE IS BUYING IT. if ayaw ng mga anak nyo at ng Philippine culture, then don't watch and support.
Mr. Poon, I suggest you first rant about our local talents na sumisikat na wala Namang talent.
kung Ang Philippine talents nga natin wala Kang magawa, wag paki alaman Ang bigger stage.
p.s. parang raming DDS diri ha. hahahahaha
Kung yung mga bashers nga nya at ung mga nagtatanggol don sa performers eh may karapatan magexpress ng opinion, eh di lalo na si Richard Poon who stands by the right morals and decency we all should uphold.
ReplyDeleteFollow the exchange between Candace Owens and Cardi, you'll get what Richard means...and they are not wrong!
ReplyDeleteGrabe yung nagcomment ng Incel. Does he even know what that word means and the gravity of it? Memang pawoke.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Richard Poon. performing sexual act on stage is a big no-no. Cardi B doesn't even want her own daughter to listen to WAP or watch the video.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were little kids, we look forward to the Grammy Awards each year. It is the best of the best in the music industry. The Gold Standard.
ReplyDeleteLook at it now. Strutting and grinding and bukaka on stage. And young people are defending that?
Hoy Lucas Swift! Anong talented ladies? Cardi B can’t rap! Garbage
ReplyDeleteI agree with Richard Poon 2000%
ReplyDeletePara sa woke generation WOMEN empowerment = being able to express ‘femininity’ and ‘love for body’ by wearing suggestive clothes and doing suggestive dance moves.
ReplyDeleteDi na ba talaga pwedeng i empower niyo ang sarili niyo by respecting your body??
Team richard poon!
I SUPER AGREE WITH RICHARD OKAYYYY. Yung mga nag comment mga bagets pa, they're mad, ayaw nilang mapagsabihan kasi they think yung nakikita nila from TITA CB is appropriate. Enebeee
ReplyDeleteE pano kung yun ang opinion nya? May opinion kayo, go state it as well.
DeleteMYOB poon.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Richard. For the ladies that watched the performance, do you feel empowered? Did that give you the needed confidence to do the same thing? Would you want your little daughter to see that and say you should be like them?
ReplyDelete
