Commonsense.

    3. Have you read the news? Are you even aware that it was DBP who belied the unpaid loan? Even GMA reported this. How st*pid can you get 1:19am go back to school it’s basic reading comprehension

      Delete
    4. Did you not read?? Dbp officials said this on a hearing with house of representatives, meaning under oath sila. Doesn't matter who reported as long as its verifiable.

    6. True! Have tou watched the hearings where a lot of documents showing the irregularities in ABS CBN/ Benpres & Maynilad transactions with DBP. Transactions that did not comply with BSP procedures but where allowed by DBP. Please check other sources than the accused's. I don't think they will admit to these under the table deals. But there are certainly a lot of irregularities, and a lot of people who benefitted from these deals.

  19. Essentially na write off. Hindi binabayaran ng abscbn ung loan for more than 180 days na kaya DBP sold the loan to lehman brothers which filed for bancrupty.. hay naku...

    1. Besh nagbasa ka ba? Ang linaw linaw na wala kahit writen-off loan or condonation.

    2. Walang write off at walang utang. Ang kulet ng brains mo teh.

      Delete
    3. Isa pang headline grazer tong si 1:40 wala ngang write off.

      Delete
    4. Then why would DBP lie under oath to congress and say no write off? 🤔

      Delete

  22. Bias talaga tong abscbn.. hindi nila sinabi jan n sabi ng dbp they had to transfer the loan to lehman because abscbn was not paying.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Bias ka rin dahil hindi mo binaggit yung sinabi ng Sky Cable that they paid off their loans to Lehman Brothers nung 2011 pa. Its paid in full hano.

      Delete
    2. Juice colored basahin mo kasi yung article.

      Delete
    3. pero may ni-write off ba?

      Delete
  23. BIR cleared the unpaid taxes issue, DBP cleared the unpaid loan issue. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  24. This report is so biased, they didn’t include the fact that the Lopez loans amounted to ₱9.55 billion which were just sold to Lehman Brothers Asia for ₱3.83 billion. DBP even got tax incentives for selling loans then. According to DBP they had to sell the loans coz abscbn was not paying. Then Lehman filed for bankruptcy and the loans were just written off.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. True. If people will just take time to watch the hearings were a lot of documents have been presented, they will realized why DBP needed to say that ABS CBN has no unpaid loans. Because they were part of the irregularities and all of these are being uncovered now in the hearings. DBP and ABS as sources of this news scream of biases.

      Delete
    2. Ewan ko kung tunay yang pinagsasasabi mo but bankruptcies and write offs are normal part of business. Irrelevant ang Lehman if that is true kasi di naman sila parte ng gobyerno. They are just pacifying the toddler in the office.

      Delete
    3. So wala silang utang sa DBP? Yes or no?

      Delete
    4. You got the wrong information sis.. Dbp said NO WRITE OFF AND NO CONDONATION. Ang kulit mo.

      Delete
    5. Paid in full in 2011 before Lehman filed for bankruptcy.

      Delete
    6. You talk to appear you know more than the Lender. What institution do you represent?

      Delete
    7. Wag kasing headline lang binabasa mo. Sky Cable paid lahat ng loans ng ABS CBN to Lehman Brothers. $241million ang total na binayaran nila. Ikaw na mag convert nyan sa pesos. DBP na mismo nagsabi na walang write off.

      Delete
Eto ring dbp, advantage on their part kasi they got tax incentives for selling the loans. Something is wrong in this picture. And bakit ung 9 billion naging 3billion na lang

      Delete

      Delete
    11. 7:11, yan ang tanong ko sa kabilang article. Bakit binenta ng DBP ang loan when clearly ABS can afford to pay. Kung walang pambayad, then take them to court & force them to liquidate assets in order to pay. Either that or mag-declare sila ng bankcruptcy. Or instead of selling to Lehman, sila na mismo directly nakipag-negotiate sa ABS to restructure the loan. Why take the easy way out? Were the tax incentives greater than the money lost when they sold the receivable off?

₱9 billion loan walang collateral, swerte.

And since govt ang DBP kawawa gobyerno lugi.

    1. Thank you! Eto yung dapat na mga nagcocomment. Matatalino at iniintindi yung hearing mismo. Duh?

    2. 3:02 Granted that what you are saying is true, the decision must have gone through the bank’s due diligence and quality assurance processes. Who are you to say that the bank’s decision is faulty? Do you have systems and processes better than those of the bank? Or are you the bank’s board?

    3. 1:33 matalino just bcos pareho kayo ng opinyon? Lol! 🤣🤣🤣

    4. 1:41, I never said magaling ako, na faulty ang banking system, or member ako ng board ng bank. Hindi ba totoo ung sinabi ko na pag ordinary na tao uutang sa bangko whether govt owned or hindi eh katakot takot na requirements ang kailangan? Kailangan ng collateral? Co-maker? Pero eto loan na to may be legal sa banking system pero in my opinion moral standpoint mali eh.

Yes the bank will just consider that as bad debt at ipapasok lang ung loss sa insurance nila. Pero as tao are we saying tama yan na mangutang ka sa gobyerno at wag magbayad habang ung mga small medium enterprise halos tumulo ang dugo maka-secure ng loan para sa negosyo nila.

      Delete
    5. 6:49PM yes andun na tayo sa moral. Then si dbp ang dapat kasuhan

    6. Kung dumaan sa proseso ni DBP which by the way is a government-owned bank, odi may mali sa process ng bangko.

Hindi kailangan ng critical thinking para makita na it doesn’t make sense to sell it off when the debtor can afford to pay the loan. And bakit nga naman nagpa-utang ng walang collateral? Parang ang irregular lang ng transaction.

      Delete
    2. 1150 eh di ang DBP questionin nyo kesa abs basta sila nagbayad na tapos kung may problema pa sila eh di pakasuhan mo

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yes, 1. winipe off lahat ng penalties. 2. Binenta ng sobrang baba ng DBP loans ng ABS with no compliance and approval from Banko Sentral. 3. Binili nila ulet ng mura.
