Thank You, Next

Over the past months, showbiz fans witnessed the moment of talents as a direct effect of the pandemic and other issues. The talents who moved cannot be blamed given that they were presented with lucrative offers and opportunities for career growth. Most talents who transferred needed the financial gains or visibility of their new station. Those who stayed put were lucky to be given work and thus merely took advantage of what was presented to them. Still, others opted for loyalty more than anything else and they remained optimistic that they will be given assignments soon.

Meanwhile, talents who made the move are realizing that the grass is not greener on the other side. Their efforts were futile in drawing viewership and advertisers. In a snap, things changed and the real picture was clear. Regardless of previous reputation in gaining fans, many talents were proven wrong. Despite good intentions for an industry that has been severely affected by the pandemic, the bottom line is still the return on investment. With expectations on viewership and advertising not met, heads started to roll.

The grapevine is abuzz that another program will soon be on the chopping block. Apparently, a program can be terminated any time if it does not generate revenue and the production will not have any liability. Hence, the talents and the team need to be on top of their game. The said program comprises talents who made the move despite having roots at where they left. Competition in the slot is tough and only the show that catches and sustains the audience dominates.

‘But there's a beginning in an end, you know? It's true that you can't reclaim what you had, but you can lock it up behind you. Start fresh.’ ― Alexandra Bracken

  4. They knew of the risks associated with their move so they have to face whatever reward or consequence of it. They just have to find another work or beg their former bosses to take them back if work is still available for them. Those who remained agreed on salary cut so they are enjoying the benefits of loyalty and right decision making.

Ang tanong ngayon, makakabalik pa ba sila or may babalikan pa ba sila

  14. kung di sila llilipat, meron ba silang aasahan sa station nila? paano kung yung mismong station kung saan sila nanggaling walang maipangakong show sa kanila? mapapakain ba sila ng loyalty? wag nyong sisihin ang artista. that's life! kelangan may option B ka palagi.

  15. Ibig sabihin the loyalty of the fans is wifh the channel lang. not the artists. So kahit basura ang ipalabas, ok lang.
