Nadaig pa ko never pa ko nghnda ng Turkey kasi feeling ko waste of money lng. Hindi namna masarap. we always have turkey for new year di kami mayaman may nagbibigay lang samin ng turkey every year naging traditon na haha masarap sya if you cook it the right way wala yung lansa. and siguro nasanay na din kami and it’s why we like it. and since malaki madaming nakakakain so really good for family gatherings. leftover turkey is the best tho yung kinabukasan gagawing mong cold turkey salad or sandwich yummmy

Syempre sya nagprepare ng turkey while ako at Nanay namin pinaluto nya ng lumpia, pansit canton, Pinoy barbecue (on stick) at chicken macaroni salad. 2:12, 🙋🏻♀️ guilty. We didn’t celebrate any Filipino holiday but we celebrated Spring and Mid-Autumn festivals when my mom was alive. But now that she’s gone we’ve stopped celebrating it and we only celebrate Easter Sunday and Christmas.
Where’s the lie though? Hilig natin makigaya sa Thanksgiving, Halloween etc. Pati yang kaechosan na Friendsgiving ginaya pa. Admit it. Pag sariling atin deadma tong mga to pero pag Western influence kahit ano pa man yan they portray it as cool.
Sadly that's a fact. It runs through our blood. Our ancestors were greatly influenced by the conquers of other blood to our land. And we've adapt to different cultures that conquered us. We became one of them. Though during those times specially the spanish era. Some parts of the Philippines retained their Filipino cultures that's why 'till today we still recognise those native Filipino norms. But we actually became one of those foreign cultures that invaded us. Eversince then, we aren't full native Filipino anymore. Even the "Pagmamano" were influences from China, that's according to studies.We are mixed up race. We are a li'l bit of everything lol! It's runs through our blood eversince the first foreign invasion.

My family is pure Filipino living in the Philippines but I celebrated both Halloween & Thanksgiving, not to copy but just to have an excuse to cook & eat.

China yes, it’s the oldest culture Hmm korea? No. Their culture is from Japan can you not see the similarities? Fyi na colonize ang korea ng japan, thus the traditional wear, head dress, bleached skin color etc.
Actually Korea is more like in between China and Japan culture. But both Korea and Japan cultures were influenced by China as thousands and hundred years ago, China was a massive empire with very rich history. Korea was once a basal state of China. That’s why you’ll see in Chinese calligraphy in Korea’s temple and Japanese writing in Kanji. Anyway, I know Filipinos hate China but just stating facts.

ReplyDeleteSadly that's a fact. It runs through our blood. Our ancestors were greatly influenced by the conquers of other blood to our land. And we've adapt to different cultures that conquered us. We became one of them. Though during those times specially the spanish era. Some parts of the Philippines retained their Filipino cultures that's why 'till today we still recognise those native Filipino norms. But we actually became one of those foreign cultures that invaded us. Eversince then, we aren't full native Filipino anymore. Even the "Pagmamano" were influences from China, that's according to studies.We are mixed up race. We are a li'l bit of everything lol! It's runs through our blood eversince the first foreign invasion.

Isabele i like you dahil matalino ka, sana wag kalimutan ang culture natin at pagiging filipino.. yan kasi ikauunlad nang pinas ang di pag limot sa pinag mulan. Look at Korea and China sobrang halaga ngculture nila sa food man o fashion kaya ganun sila ka rich na bansa
ReplyDeleteChina yes, it’s the oldest culture Hmm korea? No. Their culture is from Japan can you not see the similarities? Fyi na colonize ang korea ng japan, thus the traditional wear, head dress, bleached skin color etc.
DeleteActually Korea is more like in between China and Japan culture. But both Korea and Japan cultures were influenced by China as thousands and hundred years ago, China was a massive empire with very rich history. Korea was once a basal state of China. That’s why you’ll see in Chinese calligraphy in Korea’s temple and Japanese writing in Kanji. Anyway, I know Filipinos hate China but just stating facts.
