Sad to say, wala pang tatapat kay Juday in terms of acting sa bagong generation. Pwedeng hindi niyo gusto yung movie sa ano mang dahilan pero ibang klase talaga ang acting ni Juday. Napakahusay kahit anong genre.
Sa totoo lang ang mga pelikula ni Brilliante Mendoza ay di pang Oscars. Pwede sa Cannes at ibang film festival but not Oscars. Di natuto yung FAP. Di trip ng Hollywood yung films nya. Pustaham tayo this film will not get shortlisted.
Di pa ren makakasali yan Kasama lang sa pagpipilian. Kaya di pa ren mapipili sa official final 5 yan or shortlist man lang malabo pa ren. Di oscar worthy ang mga pelikulang ganyan.
I think this movie captures a lot of local pinoy than international viewers - OSCARS seemed too difficult to please by our locally made flicks due to its technical execution aspects.
A movie cannot stand alone by just one element, the actors who played in it but all should be properly well executed from its storyline, cinematography, editing, sound and set design.
I think yun ang hindi masapol ng PH flicks meeting The Academy's standards.
