      Delete
    3. 12:22 I don’t think nakakailang. SIguro narinig sa matatanda na “barbies are for girls, are you a girl?”

    4. Adults give meaning, rules and labels to everything. Kids will play with whatever they pick up or anything that pleases their eyes. Hindi maiilang ang bata, matatanda yung naiilang.

      Delete
    3. 2:31 Pano mo naman nalamang straight sya? Di yun basta makikita sa kilos at panlabas na kaanyuan but dun sa nararamdaman nya

      Delete
    4. Whaat? My kuya used to behead my barbies as part of war games with his other toys. Ayun spoiled kaming sisters, wife and daughters sa kanya hahahaha.

    5. Psychiatrists said most boys who play with dolls when they are young grow up to be doting, nurturing dads. It’s usually the adults who cause a stir about this.

Pati yung “why are you crying? Are you a girl?’ mentality, no wonder most men tend to keep their pent up emotions to themselves and end up being weak inside if not suffering from heart problems.

      Delete
  4. So okay lang maglaro ang mga straight kids ng Barbie and paper dolls? Seriously?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yes, why not? Toys are toys, toys do not have gender. Please educate yourself a little bit more. The kids and toys are not the problem, its the adults who introduce stereotyping to the children’s minds.

      Delete
    2. Yes. My nephew played with dolls when he was little because his mom is a progressive and did not believe in limiting toys based on stereotypes.
He is now all grown up and continues to identify male. Toys don’t cause gender preference, people are born certain ways, and nothing you play with can change that

      Delete
    3. There is nothing wrong with that. How do you even know they are straight at a very young age?

      Delete
    4. I have a son pero di ko sya papayagan maglaro ng barbie ayoko pagtawanan sya ng mga kaedad nyang mga lalaki!

      Delete
    5. How do you know they're straight e bata pa sila?

      Delete
    6. U can see if they are straight or not kahit bata pa sila gaya ng mga pamangkin ko bata palang malalambot na and nung lumaki na sila trans na sila and yung iba kong mga pamangkin na bata pa lang nakikibogbogan na sa kanto at nung lumaki naging mga pasaway na na mga lalaki! Haha

      Delete
    7. I played dolls with my friends when I was young. Some of my playmates were boys. Anak anakan namin yung dolls while playing bahay bahayan. If you don’t want your children to be playing with dolls because you stereotype innocent children who play with them, the problem is clearly not the toy but your mindset.

      Delete

      Delete
    9. ganyan din kaisipan ko dati dont stereotype. When my son is 2years old I tried palaruin sya ng mga pink items wlang issue sa kanya. Basta ayaw nya daw kasi pang Mommy daw un.

      Delete
    10. 12:38 linawin mo kung barbie dolls ba yan o mga cabbage patch dolls o action figure dolls. And anung age yang little na yan baka baby pa kasi like 2 below. Now kung 8 na pakilinaw anong dolls?

      Delete

      Delete
    12. Toys are designed for fun and entertainment purposes, hindi para i-determine ang gender orientation ng bata.

      Delete
    13. Ahhhh... OO.

    12. 2:54 AM Toys have a cultural relevance.

A toy is an item that is used in play, mainly intended for use by children. Playing with toys can be an enjoyable means of training young children for life in society.

A society is a group of individuals involved in social interaction, subject to the same political authority and dominant cultural expectations.

    9. 11:16 so Yung barbie dolls na may perfect beauty, perfect make up, iba't ibang dress and two piece swimsuits, high heels are intentionally made for boys also?

Lumaki naman akong straight, complete with kikay clothes and heels. Yun nga lang, may engineering degree ako because #whynot?

I will bring her to the toy store and I will ask her sometimes if she wants this and that and she will tell me No mama it looks more like its for boys. She is an only child and she grew up playing by herself pretty much. They are just making a big deal out of this gender stereotypes in my opinion. I think we should just start respecting each other’s preferences. Like each one of us have different parenting skills. If some parents dont want their sons to play with dolls so be it. Its their choice.

Wala silang idea whether a toy is specifically for boys or girls so lalaruin nila kung anuman yung available. The mother could have done that and asked her child to write it para maging viral at sabihing wow, ang smart nong bata. Whether we admit it or not, there will always be toys specifically made for both genders. It may be okay for girls to play with robots and guns. Same as them wearing pants or shorts.
