  4. Go Ylona walang arte. Sobrang hanga ako sayo kiddo. See you in 2 years sana if you ever decide to come back..

  5. I admire her for not hiding her job now in Australia. People her age are usually self conscious about how other people see them and what others will say lalo pa siya na kahit paano nakilala na rin sa showbiz dito sa Pinas. It's ok to admit that things did not work out the way you want to but her dream doesn't end there. Sa showbiz talaga malaking factor ang timing and her breakthrough just hasn't happened yet so who knows in the future mabigyan din siya ng big break. She's still young anyway. Good luck, Ylona. :)

    1. Pffffft nasa ibang bansa kasi!

I don't know kung yan yung norm sa lahat ng third world countries pero parang dito napaka superficial ng mga tao, that's why napaka popular ng facebook and instagram dito. Sa ibang bansa may dignity of labor, although may class divide pa din in terms of opportunities walang masyadong preoccupation sa status the same as here. Napaka feudal pa din natin at barriotic. Peace.

    4. HUY 2:50!
Ylona is from Australia. That's where she and her family are based talaga. So natural lang, dun sya babalik.

Lol

  6. Kaya dapat talaga sa mga artista. Pinagsasabay ang pagiging artista at pag-a-aral.

    1. So your point 1:09 is??

      Delete
    2. 1:17 i think her/his point is if youre graduated, you have a fall back or back up when your showbiz career failed.

But somehow, i feel n ang harsh mo 1:09. Mababa ang salary but this job is still marangal.

      Delete
    3. Wala rin yan sa pinag-aralan. May kilala ko na achiever from UP pero nung nagmigrate din sa Australia bartender ang trabaho.

      Delete
    4. Well dear 1:09, these days, kahit graduate ka pa, mahirap talaga makakuha ng trabaho. Even people with years of experience are struggling to find jobs. Actually swerte pa si Ylona because she has Australia to go back to. Her family is there at maayos naman buhay nya dun.

I actually admire how she has no qualms about showing her situation now - which is hugely different from the glitz and glam of showbiz. Other younger artistas might not be able to be shrug it off the way she does. <3 Ylona Garcia has looks and talent, so this is just a resting phase for her. :)

      Delete

      Delete
    10. She’s studying. Nasa college na siya ngayong school year.

      Delete
    11. My point is..di lang dapat sila umaasa sa pagiging artista nila. They shouldve invest in business and studying also. Pero this kind of work is not stable and cant sustain the luxury or lifestyle na gusto nila. Wag nyo isensetionalized ito baka magsettle for less na ibang kabataan natin for being a crew member.

      Delete
    12. Yup, mataas ang AUD $1 is to more or less P35 and minimum wage per hour there is $19.84

    13. She's studying now.

FOR SURE hindi nagwwork si ylona sa mcdo for the money per se. malamang for the experience since bored ngayon at walang abs. wag kang magalala malayo pa mararating ni ylona dahil bata pa yan. oa mo ha!

    3. 1:50 te 16aud lang ang 600 pesos. Tingin mo ba papayag mga yan ng 16aud for the whole day tapos sa Australia ka nakatira?

      Delete
    4. it's Australia dear so it's possible 600 pesos per hour talaga

    10. Highest Minimum wage in the US is $14.00 per hour. One is allowed 160 hours a month without overtime. (Overtime is paid double time or time and 1/2 when it exceeds 8 hours in a day ). One can make $2240 per month or 112,000 pesos working at McD. Not sure what their per hour is in Australia. Most of those that work at McD are self supporting students who move on to better jobs once they graduate. Ylona can do the same.

      Delete
    11. 16 aud per hour minimum rate

      Delete
Even sa US te P600 per hour minimim pa un.

Kung magwish naman sana sila ng improvement sa Pilipinas ay dapat for the sake of the PH lang hindi yung kasi ganun or ganito kasi sa korea ang rason bat gusto nila ang isang bagay.

Pakantahin mo ng live puro semplang for sure. Lol

      Delete
    4. 9:24 agree, Kpop artists na puro lip sync at autotune

      Delete
    5. Tama! Kpop girlgroups and boybands are concentrated in fashion and looks so much that they have to do plastic surgery and skin whitening to achieve it.

      Delete

  19. Para walang gulo hahaha >>> The AUS national minimum wage is $753.80 per week, for a 38 hour week, or $19.84 per hour. Check the Business.gov.au.
Google lang katapat. So @1:35 is a bit right but quite near the actual rate.

  21. Good on ya, Ylona! I also worked at a McDonald’s one summer back in high school. Working at a place like that teaches you many life lessons. Proud of ya!

    ReplyDelete
  22. She's such a good role model cause most filipino teens abroad experience workIng at mcdonalds to earn extra money. Love her for being real and relatable.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Those kind of jobs here in Australia are temporary.

Tapos sabi nya before sa stories nya, remainder of the year wala sya sa Pinas. Uwi daw syang Australia then puntang LA for her music. Mukhang naghahanap lang ng means si bagets to spend the extra time she has, di naman ito seryosohang trabaho.

      Delete
  24. There is dignity in labor. U hope she can pursue her studies while there too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Here in Australia kids can work as early as 15, iba nga 13. They are trained to be independent maaga pa lang. And hourly rates dito following standard wages, and if below 18 mas malaki rate mo. Kaya normal lang if may work ang mga teens dito, mas prefer nila yun kasi they are earning their own money.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Huy September 1, 2020 at 2:50 AM anonymous...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Bakit nyo ba pino-problema ang hourly rate nya as service crew? Whether in Phil pesos yan or Australian dollar, ang importante nagta-trabaho sya ng marangal!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Marangal ang pagiging crew ng isang fastfood chain kaso not a stable job. Also, wag nyo iglorify yan na trabaho. Aim high.

      Delete
It’s how you love your job and the experience that comes with it.

    1. Thanks for sharing your story 1:59. Nakaka inspire. Hard work really pays off.

I have a friend na nakamigrate sa Canada because of their job as fastfood crew which means you can still get your aim higher kahit ganyan ang work mo besides hindi naman ginoglorify ng mga comments ang ganyan trabaho. We are just appreciating that kind of job kasi marangal sya.
PS. Make sure na hindi ka kumakain sa mga fast food o never mo nirequire ang service ng isang fastfood crew ha.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Biglang finollow ko etong si Ylona. I have respect for crews. I have a college degree, btw.

And it goes a long way.

Fyi lang both sa medical field nagtatrabaho parents niya mother niya is nurse/med tech at father niya ei pathologist. Alam mo ba yun. Aat nagaaral siya dun
