For a cover that’s supposed to evoke modernity, it somehow looks and feels a little dated. They could have chosen a more subtle or nuanced approach to “modern love” but they went for the heavy-handed route (both with the visual and messaging). IMO, overall it just doesn’t look fresh and “now” despite the cutting edge architecture in the background. The brilliant design could have spoken for itself, but it became noise. It also lacks romance, sayang kasi it could have been a symphony of confidence and vulnerability — and this doesn’t automatically mean pastels, ruffles, and hearts! I know some of you will get me haha! BTW, I’ve seen the whole spread so I’m not just judging by the cover. The styling is also very early 2010s especially in the “all leather” layout.
The general public and hardcore pageant fans will eat this up anyway so kudos to Philippine Tatler for getting Jeremy and Pia to do the big reveal with them! :)

Tama ang chika ni girl na it's too heavy-handed and lacks the necessary nuance that could have made it more "sosyal" and effortless! Read again and comprehend, teh! The editing, styling and overall aesthetic is not Class A, it's very celebrity. Ang bigat sa mata! Sayang Nigel Barker pa naman ang photog! But that doesn't mean Pia and Jeremy are not gorgeous! <3

Agree @8:04 PM - the cover is neither modern nor romantic. I can only speak on the cover since I haven't seen the magazine but if they wore lighter colors they would've complemented or contrasted better with the architecture. That said, they make a gorgeous couple.
