True. I’m guilty of putting an angry reaction after one of my friends shared this Rappler article. But when I saw GMA’s full report, I had to retract that. Lesson learned, never give out an opinion without having read the full story. Salute to all our frontliners, medical or not.
Bakit mo didiligan un halaman na hindi within your property?
My baril pa magsisita lang.
Police guilty of overreacting and bad judgement. That's it. Clearly the maid was on the property of her boss and clearly, an exclusive village is not really a crowded place. (Have you been inside one?) The police could've just reprimanded the maid and given her a stern warning, or filed a report. But noooo- they had to invade the property, harass the homeowners, even chasing the man inside his property. Obviously uminit ulo nya, dangerous since he carries a firearm.
3:12, why then would homeowners and the Barangay Chairman request the police for help regarding those people? Ibig sabihin hindi first time nangyari yan.
Derek is right in siding with police. The village asked assistance from police kasi nga may mga homeowners na nagvviolate ng quarantine guideline at hindi kayang sitahin ng village security. Watch the other video yung taken from the very start wherein the police politely talked to the maid and then to the foreigner.
Yes. In the US it's prohibited to swear at policemen apprehending you. They will really manhandle you if you're drunk and you resist arrest tapos mumurahin mo pa, lalo na siguro kung foreigner ka lang, dayo ka lang sa US tapos duru-duruin mo lang ang authority duon. NO, NO, NO. THEY WILL REALLY REMIND YOU WHO IS THE BOSS THERE AND IT'S NOT YOU.
May point si Derek. Pulis yun siempre dapat igalang. Anong sinasabi nung netizen na Sita lang at kelangan balik na sa precint and file a report? Ano ba ethnicity nyang foreigner na yan. I am not putting a racist card. Contempt of a police officer is an offense. Bakit May police officer sa village? Malamang May nag reklamo.
Huwag kasi kuda agad.
According to the statement of the Brgy Captain, the foreigner wrote to Rappler and posted the part of the video where he was pinned to the ground by the policeman. Brgy/Police had another video showing what happened prior to the "assault scene."
Same statement claimed the police only warned the maid she could be fined for not wearing mask.
Not wearing mask habang nagdidilig within their property tapos aabot sa physical alteration..joke..altercation.
4. What's the legal basis of using force kung warrantless arrest ang gagawin mo?
Well, this guy could end up getting deported but come to think of it.... Pinoy ang totong dehado dito because this government is using this pandemic to curtail freedom of people. Pinoy, wake up!
Di ba pinagsisigawan at pinagmumura at ininsulto pa yung pulis?
7.01 "City Ordinance No. 2020-089 requiring people to wear face masks or other protective gear when in public places".- The City Ordinance said it very clear. It said wear face masks when in public places NOT private places. So, walang violation dun. Yong pulis ang may violation kasi: 1- he entered a private property of an individual para sabihin 'yong mali niyang interpretation ng city ordinance at nagaask pa ng multa sa nandidilig. 2- Another violation uli ng pulis dahil sabi niya sa spanigh man: "You will need to come with me because you are under influenced of alcohol and you are not in a normal state of mind." As far as I know there's no law prohibiting an adult individual to drink alcohol inside their house. 3- Another violation of the police is when he followed the man and entered his property to assault him just to save face dahil napahiya. Kung dito sa US ito nangyari malamang patay itong pulis na ito dahil ang mga tao dito ay may right to defend themselves when they get assaulted first lalo na't trespassing siya. 4- Again the Spanish man could get deported though not because pinahiya niya 'yong pulis but because of the evil power of Duts. So I don't care kung napahiya siya if he's in the wrong because implementing a LAW is not about that.
I'm on Derek on this one. He runs a security company for a living. He somehow knows how the procedure goes. Clickbait article for Rappler though. Also everyone also made sawsaw to this, COVID 19 stays on surfaces and remains in the air in some sort of suspension for some time. Would it hurt anyone to wear a mask?
issue : is it wrong for the police to accost someone in their private property when its "outside" ? private property extends to the boundary of your lot area, which may include your immediate sorrounding.
Can you imagine a Filipino living abroad doing that to a local police officer?? Surely, that filipino will be on jail. Those fil-netizens would be blaming that filipino for disobeying other countries law, they would start calling that filipino "pasaway" "walang modo" "utak pinoy" "hindi nagiisip". But of course, this happened here in the PH specifically in an affluent village and a foreigner is involved.🤷🤷
Ay ay ay. Porket si derek nagreklamo agree kayo? Una nasa private property yung maid habang nagdidilig so di kailangan ng mask.
The foreigner seems to be really looking for trouble. But after that, the foreigner wrote to Rappler and even sent an edited video na hindi naman pinakita ang buong pangyayari, kung pano pinagmumura at ininsulto ng foreigner ang police.
Why is that foreigner so freaking mad about the 1k fine eh he lives in a private subdivision naman? I bought my washable face masks for 50 pesos only, bat hindi niya binilhan si inday ???
Imagine... 1000 pesos versus 50 pesos mask. LMAO? Give me a break, pack your bags and go back to spain!
Hmmmm... Because his property doesn't have a gate so pag umubo yung maid na walang mask or may dumaan na wala ding mask at umubo eh nagkahawaan sila. Wala kang common sense diba, diba, diba???
I will just share ha kasi banyaga din nman involve dyan.
Hindi yong wear a mask all the time when you are outside of the house regardless of the situation.
