DeleteAminado ako when I was a kid and learned about mIRC and yahoo groups, I also played someone. In short, I catfished people online. Siguro I was 10 yo at that time. Nakakaamaze lang to be someone you’re not (bata pa naman ako nun). You get to be someone who’s going to make someone fall in love with you. May thrill siya sakin nung bata ako.
In college, I was catfished by someone. Hahahaha karma. Iniyakan ko siya and by that time ang lupit na ng editing skills nung 2009. Siguro I invested my 3 months? Naiyak na lang din ako kasi I thought he is real. I got over it naman but then I learned that no one should ever play with someone’s feelings.
When I read the thread and all of Sam’s victims, there’s a similarity for all eh. Most of the victims wanted to be loved by someone who won’t judge them. Which makes it harder to accept na na catfish ka nga.
Lesson learned: don’t look for love online. Maliit lang ang ratio ng lovers online na successful. I just shared my insights about this. And I am sorry for that 1 person I catfished before and for the person who catfished me? Hahahahahahaha whoever you are, sana nagmature ka na din.

DeleteI just finished reading the whole thing. And basing from her account of the incidents, Jzan had a choice to end things first time pa lang na niloko na siya. I mean, how could she trust someone over and over again na nakilala lang niya and nakausap through social apps? She went out of her way to contact the person again, hence binigyan niya pa lalo ng rason for that sick person to fool her hanggang sa umabot na sa point na kailangang gamitin yung Bilko para mapagbigyan yung closure na hinihingi niya? She invested feelings to someone online, someone she never had any physical contact. Umabot sa point na may nangyari na sa kanila nong lalaki because she insisted for them to meet up. She willingly let those people enter her life. She had a choice. No one deserved something like that but still, she had a choice.

DeleteAndaming instances ng panloloko. FIRST- hindi nagpakita yung guy sa airport in Cebu. Blocked na siya in all messaging apps and yet tinuloy pa din niyang maipag-usap dun sa Sam. Nagkaroon sila ng communication uli and she willingly chatted with the guy. SECOND- She went out of her way to go to Manila para mameet na yung kachat niya and nagpakita naman pero it didn't went the way she expected it. The guy ended whatever they had just like that (and magkachat lang sila the whole time ha). Dun pa lang sana natauhan na siya eh but no, according to her marupok siya. Tinuloy pa din niya and even begged sam to contact the guy again for closure. FINALLY- nagkita na din sila, nagdate, picture taking, and pinapasok din niya sa hotel. Humingi siya ng kiss pero ayaw nong guy. Pinilit pa din niya yung guy hanggang sa may nangyari na sa kanila. Ang ending, umamin na yung lalaki na set up lang lahat.
