Pinakamaganda nga yung story ng darna ni nanette, you could still watch it today and be entertained. Sad to say I think nahaluan lang ng nostalgia yung pag perceive natin sa darna ni angel, it was the fact na malakas ang lineup/support to build her up kaya naging worthwhile yung show. But looking back, that darna was very soapy, and since angel was just starting then, her acting was really cringey, buti sobrang believable talaga siya when it comes to action scenes. Case in point--watch darna vs. valentina. Would have loved to see angel do darna with her acting skills now and with a better storyline, but as it stands even marian's darna was better in terms of concept at plot kahit na dumbed down yung dialogue.

DeleteThis is shady but there's some truth to this. As a casual viewer I can't remember any movies she's been in. Mas may recall ang ibang TV shows niya but let's face it, yung mga nagiging legends lang na A-listers sa industriya are the ones who make good movies, unless you're a comedian with a long running sitcom or variety show.

ReplyDeletePero interesting nga kung si Julia M ang Darna. She has the acting skills, no doubt abt that. Pero yung transformation nya to a strong persona, physically and all - nakaka-curious lang. Then again, the project is pushing through with another actress na. But now that I think abt it, it would've been interesting to see her as Darna. Even more so than Liza. No offense ha. Mas curious lang talaga ako sa magiging transformation sana ni Julia M.

Pinakamaganda nga yung story ng darna ni nanette, you could still watch it today and be entertained. Sad to say I think nahaluan lang ng nostalgia yung pag perceive natin sa darna ni angel, it was the fact na malakas ang lineup/support to build her up kaya naging worthwhile yung show. But looking back, that darna was very soapy, and since angel was just starting then, her acting was really cringey, buti sobrang believable talaga siya when it comes to action scenes. Case in point--watch darna vs. valentina. Would have loved to see angel do darna with her acting skills now and with a better storyline, but as it stands even marian's darna was better in terms of concept at plot kahit na dumbed down yung dialogue.

Delete12:39 mataas din ratings ng Darna ni Marian. Leading sila nun. 6 months sila nag run, si Angel dati 7 months. Di naman nagkalayo. Mas mataas talaga ang ratings ng Darna ni Angel kasi nung 2005 halos lahat nasa TV pa, wala masyadong social media pa, though may internet na pero di pa mabilis at Friendster pa lang. Yung kay Marian 2009, mabilis na medyo ang net at may Facebook at pausbong na Twitter sa Pilipinas. So see the time difference.
