Associate degree is harder than 4 year degree since you need to learn everything in a short period of time. I am doing associate degree for Nursing and it is not a joke...
To be fair maaaring totoo. Yung mga competitive degrees sa US there's usually an admission process before you can even declare your intended major cause they offer limited seats, and most of the time combined programs din siya where you get a bachelors+masters at the same time, or masters+doctorate. Unless it's the type of major where people weed themselves out anyway like STEM, lahat ng kasabay mo ay usually straight A students sa mga major na may admissions. I have no idea how ph universities work, but sa US universities, students who wish to get into competitive majors have to be equally strong in the sciences and the humanities, so yung mga students na nakakapasok hindi lang sila A sa chemistry, physics, or anatomy, kailangan A din sila sa anthropology at literature. So for the most part, may point si 2:16. Hindi pareho ang tingin sa latin honors sa US the same way na may prestige siya sa pinas dahil mas considered na accurate indicator ng kakayahan ng estudyante ang major nila. Not trying to minimize people's efforts, just trying to explain the context of 2:16's comment.
Ang pait mo masyado. Icongratulate mo nalang. Mahirap o hindi yung course, graduating with honors is a big deal. She didn't get it lying down staring at the ceiling. Pinagtrabahuan din niya yan.
I think people not too impressed because it’s easy to get in, they don’t require ACT and SAT and a 2.0 gpa is accepted. Well it is what it is, congratulations for receiving honors.
6:42 doing associate degree here in US must be really hard especially if you are working at the same time but I beg to disagree that associate degree is more difficult than having a bachelor’s degree.
6:42 nursing is a hard major period, I guess ito yung makakaattest sa na-mention na dito na it really depends on the major. Allied health majors regardless sa level ng degree are unquestionably difficult.
6:42, anong pinagsasabi mo na mas mahirap ang associate kesa bachelor’s? Mas intensive ang bachelor’s plus at least 4 years pa!
At baka sabihin mayabang ako... well, may ipagyayabang naman.
7:45 that's actually normal sa US. Milyonaryo o mahirap, nagtatrabaho habang nagaaral. It's very rare na makakaencounter ka ng estudyante sa america na walang trabaho habang college, even if they go to school ng full ride scholarship or full financial support galing sa magulang.
Kalma. yung iba kase pag nakarinig ng may honor magaling na agad without considering kung gano kahirap course, gano ka stiff competition. totoo naman compared sa ibang courses in science and technology madali yang course nya
"madali lang naman course niya." Seriously? Hind rin. Kahit mapera ka pero tamad ka hindi ka gra-graduate with honors. Malamang si Dominique, bukod sa mayaman at matalino eh masipag mag-aral.
Not all programs, associate or bachelor or masters/phds, are created equal. Some are more difficult than others and the easier ones are also easy to get honors in. You factor in school, ganun din. Not all courses in a school are created equal. Kaya ung ibang courses, ang daming laudes while ung ibang courses swerte if may isang may laude sa graduation because of its extreme difficulty. That said, let's not belittle her achievement. Oo na, she didn't major in rocket science and she won't be working for NASA even if it takes her 10 lifetimes but Dominique is pursuing her passion and she seems to excel in it so let her be. Sa sheep naman, please lang she won't cure cancer or end world hunger any time soon - and I don't think she's interested in achieving those so let her enjoy her win and wag mag impute ng kung ano anong qualities she doesn't have.
Galing naman! ππΌππΌππΌ
