  1. It's a remake kaya no awards will be given unless it's an acting award lang aka si Aga or the other actors ang pwede nominated. Doubt MMFF Awards will give the Best Screenplay, etc. nomination to a remake movie - kasi hindi original ang idea.

It's okay naman as they're doing great sa box office.

Yan un kasabihang you cannot fool all the people all the time. Kaya eto unexpected no1 ang kay Aga

    3. Oh my God, it deserved nominations!!! 12:49 did you know that a star is born is not only a remake of a movie but multiple movies and it was nominated for those categories.

Maybe in other award giving bodies mabigyan sila. Even without awards, naappreciate ng marami yung pelikula.

    1. Pero Mel was right.

Am not sure bka Mali naman ako.

  13. Watched the film, and I understood why Aga didn’t win the best actor. But dont get me wrong, it was a good adaptation. Cried buckets too. Maybe they could’ve been given best ensemble for the cast? Really solid performance by the entire supporting cast.

Even the acting, expected mo na kung anong actingan ang kailangan sa role so anong special dun that deserves an award or even a nomination!

  17. Napaghahalataan na talaga na kulelat tayo compared to other Asian countries. Sa kanila talaga sumusugal sila sa ideas at sa gastos. Sa atin basta kumita kahit gaano ka cheappangga go Lang. Kaya Wala tayong chance ma kilala internationally.

    1. Korek. Because nawala na ang Golden Years of Philippine Cinema. We should all be blamed for that because “we” patronize slapstick materials, cheap comedy bar type of jokes, superficial banters and sketches. Sad to say, quality will be never in Philippine movie producers’ mind in making movies. Money trumps quality. Sad reality.

    2. Lino Brocka used to make great movies. Pero ngayon wala na. Puro nalang bad love-this love-that nonsense movies and corny and unfunny comedies. Puro copya and recycled lang.
