As for Cris, I admire her for her love for the craft. Sure her career as a mainstream actress and singer didn't take off but she's a good actor. And a real actor either on TV, movies, and especially on stage.

Masyadong mataas ang tingin ng ibang tao sa pagaartista sa pinas. Para sa iba may buhay sa labas ng showbiz. Halimbawa, yung singer na si carol banawa, mas pinili mag nurse sa US kesa magartista/singer sa Pinas. Obviously para sa kanya mas ok ang nursing sa amerika kesa maging celebrity sa pinas.
Yung iba kasi kala lahat ng tao ang style mag showbiz tapos yung artista ang breadwinner ng buong angkan nila na umaasa duon sa tiga showbiz.Nakakahiya sa totoo lang! Dapat maging mapanuri din yung mga network sa pagkuha ng celebrities.

Nilalagay sa pedestal ang mga taong kadalasan napapanood sa TV. para sa kanila,ang definition ng success ay yong pagiging sikat na artista. Dito sa America, mas nirerespeto ang mga doktor, engineer, abugado, at iba pa kesa sa mga Hollywood hypocrites na out of touch.yong mga teenagers at early 20s lang naman dito madalas na nauuto ng mga celebrity. Some people here consider Hollywood folks as trashy and overrated.
All I can remember from her mainstream career was her duet with Martin Nievera “Give the World A Chance” Nice song and Martin really built her up when he introduced her “I believe this girl is going to be one of the best in the country” but even in their live performance she was shaky and didnt “fully” deliver. You can watch their performance on YT to see what I mean.
Watched her in the movie starring Bea, Paolo and Derek, she played the role of campaign manager and she gave the role justice. Very effective actress. Fame does not always signifies talent.
She had her peak, it was short - almost fleeting, pero sumikat naman. Also, hindi naman be all end all ang showbiz. Some former artistas can still thrive (sometimes even better) outside the industry. Lastly, hindi sa pang-aano pero with her family background, hindi nya kailangan pilitin mag-stay or sumikat dahil may kaya naman sila. Hindi need mamilit maging relevant sa mainstream/masa dahil her body of work in theater, for example, impressive.
