Kinda agree @2:11 coz i was like that 10 yrs ago back when FB is starting to gain traction over FS when “Friends For Sale” were the craze... I always question myself “baket walang bumibili saken eh maganda rin naman ako” ”di ba ako like-able/buy-able?” Gnyan gnyan, ngagawa nga naman ng hormones saten during teenage years haha pero i’m ok now! I know my self-worth kaya di na aq insecure sa mga ganyan, i tend to avoid Soc Med altogether sometimes unless i want to update myself of what’s happening regarding my loved ones... and syempre dito na lang natambay sa FP instead hahaha š♀️š♀️
Hindi “hanash” ang depression, 12:42. Maraming mga non-celebrities din may depression. Actually I applaud honest celebrities like these who open up and are transparent. Let’s not shame for those who seek help and also not shame those who are willing to open the doors for people like myself who are afraid. I only hope one day it gets better for Ice, for it also gives me hope to find strength to be better. - Abuse Victim/Severe Depression Survivor
I am living in Sydney right now and napansin ko rin na hindi na nakikita ang total likes ng post. I just noticed it 2 days ago. Nakakadepress talaga sya kasi I’ve been in a situation dati na addict din ako. I always seek validation from others, pressure pa sa paligid mo lalo kung mga kasama mo o family is exposed din ang buhay sa social media so you need to keep up with them. When I moved to Sydney few years ago, I experienced depression on the first few months. Culture shock, family issues and more on getting to know myself. Kami lang ng husband ko ang magkatuwang. Fortunately, I slowly recovered. One way is to detach from social media. I did it in gradual steps until nakasanayan ko na hindi masyadong nagpopost about myself until I found happiness sa mga simpleng bagay like pag kumain kami sa labas or namasyal, we don’t take photos or may photos man we don’t post it. My reason is why do we need to inform everyone what we are doing right now? As if they care. And then ang sarap sa feeling na satisfied ka throughout the day with what you’ve done without any reactions from people na hindi mo naman kasama o nakita ang totoo mong ginagawa. Living abroad is a very big risk. But like in Sydney, magsisikap ka talaga pero dito you can live freely. Walang paki sa looks mo. Tahimik ang lugar. Those factors helped me to know what and who I really want in my life. But as the news have said ang taas pa rin ng depression rate dito kaya nga I am glad na naimplement na yata ng Australia ang ihide ang numbers of likes sa social media as of the moment. It may look a simple step but it can help a lot.
Depression is an "illness".
So pag “blessed” di na pwede magkasakir? Ganon ba?
Depression is not easy. I for one experienced it, it’s very hard to fight it. It’s the kind of loneliness you can’t even trace where it’s coming from and no amount of happy environment can ever cheer you up pag tinamaan ka nyan. Lahat ng mga nagpapasaya sa akin I lost interest all I want to do after work is to eat and sleep. I stayed away from my family and battled with it alone. Thank God I was able to heal myself on my own. Depression is worse than nightmare! You refused to feel it but it would always find its way to get to you.
Ganyan ako eh until I realize I cant get all the things I want in this world, bet it material things or non material things not to mention that life is not a fairy tale. So self contentment is the key.

Shame on you! Wag nyo sana danasin yung ganyang state
I've learned to stop explaining myself to people re my mental health illness.
ignorance that is why it is stigmatized. i educated myself and is still learning about this illness. i moved to the us and they consider this seriously, even as young as elementary school. i do not know when philippines will wake up and catch up, but this is really tragic.
Kundi baka nasa kangkungan nako. Sis dadating tayo lahat sa ganyang stage
For some of the posters who are saying depression is overrated, I think you guys didn't properly read that she was diagnosed by a doctor. She was prescribed medication.
I have relatives who are were diagnosed having anxiety, depression, bipolarity. They are volatile when they don't take their medicines. They look fine, but their mood swings are extreme. So please, do not ever think that it's just being sad or out of sorts. Lack of support, or supervision, can push them to the edge without a logical reason, just by their desire to end it all.
I'm glad Ice chose to go back to her doctor, and that she's getting there with the help of her family and regular medication. With the right help, people with depression can function just as well or even better than those who aren't.
I sort of disagree 11:15. I suffer from PTSD because of my abuse as a child and there are times I cannot sleep for days because of my trauma. I was diagnosed with severe clinical depression and if it weren’t for my therapist I would have not survived this long. While yes it was my own decision to take accountability of my mental health - it also took a village and my family’s support to get me where I am. We are all able to heal ourselves but also with the help of others makes it “quicker” or “healed” effectively. Even through “self-help” books, you are still asking help from others.
Back in the days na walang socmed, wala ding depression.
@207 Baka ang ibig nyang sabihin, nowadays kase people can just post anything and claim they have depression. Sa totoo lang, those who really have it do not talk about it publicly. How many times have we seen famous people commit suicide and they never post anything about how they truly feel, nagugulat nlng tayo na depressed pala sila. Dami kase nag-iinarte sa social media ngayon e, anything just to grab attention and sympathy.
luh, gaano ka back in the days yan? depression has been on earth since the beginning of time, wala lang silang term for it. it is an undergoing study. ano naimbento ng social media ang sagad na kalungkutan ganyern? nagsign up ka sa socmed and napagtanto mo recently? OMG i cannot deal with your comment
2:07 I'd rather hear people talk abt their depression para I will know how to help them esp kung kaibigan ko kesa naman manahimik sila na ang bigat pala ng dinadala nila at mauwi pa sa suicide
@834 but should we really invalidate yung claim nila just bec we felt na nakikijoin lang sila sa "bandwagon"? I am living w/ bipolar disorder type 2 and matindi ang bipolar depression. I was clinically diagnosed and few times I shared this sa socmed posts ko not to gain sympathy but to raise awareness. Kase I only got aware abt this illness nung may nagshare abt it sa socmed tapos i did my research. What Im saying is, just because walang socmed before and wala kang kilalang nagsshare, doesnt mean na walang depression even before
Introvert c Aiza walang outlet outside like church besides, she’s famous takot mag share bka kc ijudge or makitaan ng weakness. When i was younger i was bullied, aloof and no female friends. I don’t ‘t know abt depression then, now the more i read abt it the more yata akong nadedepress. With God‘s mercy & grace i overcame it when i became a mom.
I wonder if her psychiatrist agreed with Aiza to include in her treatment plan, that sharing in social media with a risk of negative feedback would be beneficial for her while undergoing therapy?
Parang lahat nman or majority ng tao nararanasan yung mga dinescibe nya. me myself ganyan na ganyan pero hindi ko iniisip na depression to. I just take a rest, sometimes nagbabakasyon then balik uli sa dati. Hndi ako nagpapadoctor.
because you are not depressed. good for you, vacation works. at least you distinguish that you are not depressed, just sad or stressed. depression is deeper, like a dark cloud over you even when you’re in a happy or stable environment. vacation does not cure it, it just gets distracted.
Do these celebrities know what depression really means? It’s not only emotions but a whole lot more. Being said doesn’t equate to depression.
Get out of the limelight and Live a simple life.
ššš pa more instead of learning about the illness. his depression is way beyond social media. and why would someone “invite” attention to be depressed?
I have read a study before that there was a link between transgenderism and depression, anxiety. The rates of depressive symptoms (51.4% for transgender women; 48.3% for transgender men) and anxiety (40.4% for transgender women; 47.5% for transgender men) surpass the rates of those for the general population. Kaya nga sinasabi nila na ang mga transgender ay depressed to begin with.
Comments here are shocking. Mental illness is real. At kahit sabihin niyo attention-seeker itong celebrities na to marami silang pwedeng ma-motivate and inspire to seek professional help. Maraming nakakaranas nyan but aren't educated enough so hinahayaan lang. My gosh!
Fact is, someone who is suffering from depression dont say it out loud. Dami na natin narinig na ganyan, bigla nlng nag-suicide kase depressed pero clueless mga tao nay ganun pala sila kase nga most of them hindi pinapakita yon.
@1:09 you're comment is ridiculous! so you are saying people who openly saying they are depress, you will not taking them seriously?! you won't listen where are they coming from? you're impression that they just want attention. look they are seeking some help. and what?! so you wait for them to do something for themselves i.e. suicide before you provide support and help?
Sana in general, wag tayong mag away away base sa political color.Respetuhin natin opinyon ng iba.
Sa true lang ah, daming nag-iinarte kase sa social media ngayon, anything just to get sympathy or be excused from being unproductive.
ReplyDeleteBe careful though. Mental illness is a real thing and comments like yours don’t help at all.
DeleteMental illness shaming. Madami ka ding hanash. Bat di mo ieducate sarili mo about sa mental health. Lol edi kaw na
DeleteAng #1 problem ni Aiza/Ice kaya lumalala ang depression niya is being very active on social media.

I don’t ‘t know abt depression then, now the more i read abt it the more yata akong nadedepress. With God‘s mercy & grace i overcame it when i became a mom.
DeleteOh well, life is depressing naman talaga e. That’s life.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if her psychiatrist agreed with Aiza to include in her treatment plan, that sharing in social media with a risk of negative feedback would be beneficial for her while undergoing therapy?
ReplyDeleteYeah. Social media is one of the risk factors. Aiza should be out of it.
ReplyDeleteYong mahihirap malaria, TB, high blood sakit teh.
DeleteThey don’t live long enough to be depressed baks.
DeleteSocmed makes a person angry and depressed.
I just take a rest, sometimes nagbabakasyon then balik uli sa dati. Hndi ako nagpapadoctor.
ReplyDeletebecause you are not depressed. good for you, vacation works. at least you distinguish that you are not depressed, just sad or stressed. depression is deeper, like a dark cloud over you even when you’re in a happy or stable environment. vacation does not cure it, it just gets distracted.
Deletemost child actors experiences depression. hoping for healing
Do these celebrities know what depression really means? It’s not only emotions but a whole lot more. Being said doesn’t equate to depression.
ReplyDeleteDo you even know what clinically diagnosed mean? Diagnosed sya since 2000 and nagttherapy nun. You think bandwagon lang yan? Lol
DeleteGet out of the limelight and Live a simple life.
ššš pa more instead of learning about the illness. his depression is way beyond social media. and why would someone “invite” attention to be depressed?
DeleteI have read a study before that there was a link between transgenderism and depression, anxiety.
ReplyDeleteCould be because of the medicines that you are taking.Anything that alters the hormones is depressing
DeleteComments here are shocking.
Abangan natin magsuicide ganun
Delete@1:09 you're comment is ridiculous! so you are saying people who openly saying they are depress, you will not taking them seriously?! you won't listen where are they coming from? you're impression that they just want attention. look they are seeking some help. and what?! so you wait for them to do something for themselves i.e. suicide before you provide support and help?
DeleteMake your life private
Sana in general, wag tayong mag away away base sa political color.Respetuhin natin opinyon ng iba.
ReplyDeleteSa true lang ah, daming nag-iinarte kase sa social media ngayon, anything just to get sympathy or be excused from being unproductive.
