DeleteYou wonder why Alden is head and shoulders above Ken Chan in GMA Management’s eyes when he can play any role so very effectively. Siguro nga dahil walang heartthrob looks si Ken, the honest truth is he is the better actor compared to Alden, just look at their body of work.
As for Arjo, I wish he reaches a status as high as Piolo Pascual’s in ABS-CBN, he certainly deserves it. Piolo is a good actor and a good person, but Arjo has more range and depth. I will even go on a limb and state that of all the actors I mentioned here, Arjo is the best of them all. ~ Media observer

I won’t name him anymore because he doesn’t deserve any hate or comparison dahil nananahimik ‘yung tao but the fact that you even had to drag his name in a post completely and totally unrelated to him, is proof why he is, as you said “head and shoulders above” anyone in their network’s eyes.

DeleteThe characters they played although both autistic roles, were from different spectrums. Kaya magkaiba ang portrayal nila. Yung Boyet character mas maboka talaga that’s how the role was written, and Arjo’s Elai is more shy. The spectrums in autism have nuances and should not be played like a stereotypical “autistic” character. Iba iba sila talaga in real life. You can tell that Ken and Arjo played their roles with care and concern.

DeleteThanks for explaining, 1:58. A lot of people stereotype autistic individuals and clump them together under one mold when in reality, may iba't ibang aspects ang autism. This is why not all people diagnosed with autism will manifest the same behavior/mannerisms/actions.

And I LOVE how they showed that people in the spectrum have their own unique personalities too. <3 I haven't followed Ken Chan's character, but Arjo's yes - and I love how Arjo was able to really SHOW how an autistic person thinks, process, and feels in certain situations. Yung highs and lows ng emotions naipapakita nya - that takes talent talaga, and a certain sensitivity towards the role - Ang galing!
Delete1:58 so true. No two persons with autism are alike. I have a teener with autism and have met lots them through the course of our journey. They are as unique as each one of us. The common denominator is that they all have communication and social interaction issues. But even those issues come in varying degrees. Hence you cannot compare one from the other.
