APT should have considered giving her acting workshop before the movie para well-prepared sya. Internalize. I agree with you here. Ang galing ng mga mata ni Carlo! Ramdam mo talaga. Yung eyes ni Maine, kita mo na she’s trying to pull the right emotion and expression from somewhere pero kulang pa. I was hoping that she could have pulled something from her past sadness, from the times she was struggling with all the drama, and use that to show emotion. Baka takot sya.
I will give this film a chance though. I just can’t help but wonder how it would turn out in the hands of an great actress - think someone like Iza Calzado whose eyes deserve an acting award (not Iza herself, age gap and all). That dance scene sa trailer - sayang!
Also, sa mga fans ni Maine who can’t distinguish bashers from casuals giving their opinions, I think your strategy shouldn’t be to push potential casual viewers away with that “hindi ka kawalan” line. You need casuals to spend to reach the above average box office hit numbers.

Reading all the negative comments about Maine here just shows how many bashers she has. I think she did really well, considering her short length in the business. Give credits naman for trying at least. Can we give comments, without dragging her down. this is different, and I'm giving it a chance. I've never watched any movie or teleserye ng Aldub kase I found them parehong sabaw (naoverhype lang dahil sa mga fans) but nung napanuod ko ang unang trailer nito i can't deny the fact na nagustuham ko agad. You can't deny the chemistry between her and carlo. I definitely watch this.

ReplyDeleteThis is acting based on the eyes. Pipi at Bingi. Carlo really justify his character as mute/deaf person. Nakikita sa mata nya kung ano ang gusto nyang sabihin. His eyes speaks. Whereas for Maine (I am a fan), sorry pero may kulang. Her eyes is lifeless. She can act pero may kulang pa. APT should have considered giving her acting workshop before the movie para well-prepared sya. Internalize. Sorry but we have to admit as fans of Maine/AlDub --- nakukulangan pa rin tau sa acting nya. Pero let's see the whole movie. Pwedeng mahila sya ni Carlo pataas sa aktingan.

Yung eyes ni Maine, kita mo na she’s trying to pull the right emotion and expression from somewhere pero kulang pa. I was hoping that she could have pulled something from her past sadness, from the times she was struggling with all the drama, and use that to show emotion. Baka takot sya.
DeleteI will give this film a chance though. I just can’t help but wonder how it would turn out in the hands of an great actress - think someone like Iza Calzado whose eyes deserve an acting award (not Iza herself, age gap and all). That dance scene sa trailer - sayang!
Also, sa mga fans ni Maine who can’t distinguish bashers from casuals giving their opinions, I think your strategy shouldn’t be to push potential casual viewers away with that “hindi ka kawalan” line. You need casuals to spend to reach the above average box office hit numbers.

ReplyDeleteI find this movie unique at nakakatuwa na ganitong klaseng movie ang tinanggap ni maine. Tbh kasawa na ang mga romcom at usual lovestory. Mukhang malalim itong movie at para sa matured audiences. Hindi siguro ganun kalaki ang kita pero hindi mggng flop ito bec of maine.
