      Delete
Sya nilagay jan kasi he knows the north so well.

      Delete

    4. Obviously not a ceso iv.

      Delete
    5. I agree, unfair sa mga govt workers who go through the exams before getting a regional post! Hassle kaya!

      Delete
Yes or no lang ang sagot, la akong pake saan galing diploma nya.

      Delete
    7. Patas lang kasi without the CeSo,you will not have security of tenure.Anybody can take the Ceso exam while working for the govt.Labanan pa rin ng expertise and degrees.

      Delete
    8. 2:58 ceso iv is a difficult exam. Di nya kalevel ang csc prof exam. Wag maliitin. and not everyone can take it. You have to be qualified professionally

      Delete
    9. 3:52 Ceso or not, there is nothing wrong with this Jeff's appointment. It is valid and legal. There are those who come from humble backgrounds and there are also political appointees by Malacanang.

Appointed sya as Regional Director ng Region 1.

      Delete
    11. 1:21 syado k nmn judgemental kay Jeff Ortega. Search k din muna. Graduate sya sa Ateneo at taking his masters degree.

      Delete
    12. 3:52 if you are the regional director or the Asec. You will be allowed to take the CeSo Exam.during your term.

      Delete
    13. Surfing break and wasn’t because of Jeff fyi. He only promoted like others. He didn’t start surfing break wag kanga haha My aunt is the manager ng isa sa mga resort sa san juan who he worked with, they started it not Jeff

      Delete
    14. 2:06 but you cannot deny the fact that Jeff helped in promoting this Surfing break. Walang pakialam ang mga tao sa surfing break ninyo until he came out in interviews. So effective yang Jeff na yan sa pag promote.

      Delete

Walang pinagkaiba yan.It is now up to them to take the exam while working for the government.

      Delete
    3. Bakit yung sec berna, sobrang yaman din at yung Gina Lopez, mayaman din.Wala sa yaman yan.Deserving siya dahil Dept of tourism yan at la union. So pinopromote nila yung bayan ng la union.

      Delete
    4. 2:40 kahit na..di naman sya career professional na pasado sa civil service..admit it..palakasan lang yan kasi family of politicians sila!

      Delete
    5. 2:40am. Kahit pa regional yan. Masyadong malaking position yan. I worked in the government so I know.

      Delete
    6. Anon 2:40 totoo to baks

      Delete
    7. Bakit, tingin mo ba any 30 year old can just walk up and ask for a regional position?! #nepotism

      Delete
    8. Look at the case of Vico, yes we do need young blood. 30 year olds kung walang connection should study hard and get a degree, get a phd pala walang kwestyonang appointment.

      Delete
    9. Young blood nga, Pinaghirapan ni Mayor Vico yung position niya. E yang guy inupo lang naman agad agad, tinour lang ng dating RD for a week naging RD narin siya. Nice!

      Delete
    10. Vico was elected. This was appointed. Big freaking difference.

      Delete

      Delete
    12. just make sure 2:04 na hindi niya promote yung resort nila through dep.of tourism. mahirap kapag may business interest.

      Delete

On the job training habang nakaupo na sa posisyon. What an insult to those who are more qualified for the job (but do not have the political surname), who can hit the ground running to do real work and be worthy of the salary that office receives. #partofchangeisscamming #anggaleng

    2. 1:21 excuse lang memsh bago kumuda,do your research.Graduate siya ng Ateneo with post grad degree.Panong hindi qualified?

      Delete
    3. i totally agree with you 1:21! that’s the sad state of our gov’t!

      Delete
    4. Ganyan talaga, kailangan progressive.

      Delete
    5. 3:30, having a masters degree does not qualify you immediately for a regional post. Lalo na sa gobyerno. May civil service exams pa ho. Besides, what makes him qualified over someone who PASSED CESO IV and has served in a similar capacity much longer than him?

      Delete
    6. Political appointee siya.Once you hold a position, you have the option to take the CESO exam.It is not before you get hired.Im sure he can pass the exam knowing that he had his masters at the Ateneo School of Government.

      Delete
    7. Had? On going palang masters niya sa Ateneo Rockwell di po Ateneo School of gov. Hahahaha feeling close

      Delete

      Delete
    11. Hands on sya sa la union. Go to the surfing spots doon and ask about him sa mga surfers and instructors at mga establishment owners. They know him personally.

      Delete
    12. 12:14 ang alam ko he was able to establish programs for La Union na may kinalaman sa surfing ng mga kabataan.

      Delete
    13. 1:47 those people who served much longer than him do not have the CONFIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT.By the time these people take the CESO exam they are of retirement age.Mga two years na lang magsisilbi.Better to hire young people who have colorful resumes.

      Delete
  7. ang pretty nya jan!

    1. In my opinion he is very much qualified.Parehas sila ng school ni Vico.Tama na yung mga matatanda.

      Delete
    2. 2:33, coming from a particular school doesn’t automatically qualify you for anything!

      Delete
    3. As far as qualifications are concerned, he is very much qualified. Well educated and he knows the tourism of La Union. His projects prior to this, made La Union an interesting spot for international surfers.

      Delete

  11. Ewww, ano bang qualifications nito at naappoint? Hay Pilipinas wla na talagang pag.asa. #yokonasaEarth

    3. He's part of the Ortega clan of La Union.

      Delete
    4. Part of the political Ortega clan of the north, most of the family kids are in government positions....this is why Philippines will never change for the better.

      Delete
    5. Ilabas ang CSC at CESO IV exams nyan!

      Delete
    6. I am so sure na papasa ng CeSo yan dahil sa Ateneo School of Government.

      Delete

So walang pinagkaiba yan.

  12. Palakasan is the name of the game in pinas. That’s obvious.

    4. Very much QUALIFIED.We dont need stupid to run the government agencies.

      Delete
    5. Highly qualified! Graduate ng Ateneo.Nagtatake pa ng ibang graduate course. So anong pinagsasabi na hindi qualified?!?

      Delete
  16. Mataas nman pinag-aralan nya, may mga businesses din sya sa La Union and some of it is about Tourism.

    1. Business like what? Apparels? Burger Joint? Hostel? Haha anong connect sa tourism yun? Oh baka yung pagiging surfer niya? He’s not even a good surfer hahaha

      Delete
May exams para umabot dyan on top of performance. Hindi diploma at pangalan ng pamilya oi!

      Delete

1:49 Mga exams na yan, darating yan during his term.

      Delete
    6. 1:49 hindi, may mga tinatawag na political appointees. Co terminus with the President. Ka dami niyan pati higher ranking cabinet secretaries. In his case, oo appointee siya pero hindi mo naman masasabing wala siyang pinag aralan or shunga siya.

      Delete
So I guess, yan ang meron itong si Jeff Ortega. now 1:49 there are two ways, meron yung mga matatagal na sa gobyerno at may mga political appointees like this one.

      Delete

Exams will follow. Also you need the comfidence of the president.

      Delete
  17. He will serve as the Regional Director of Region IV-A, not in his province. Well good luck to him - Tourism Officer here in Quezon Province

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Nakakatawa naman yang reasoning mo teh.He has expertise. He is qualified in terms of his resume kesa sa mga mangmang na walang mapopromote o maidudulot sa dept of tourism, mas ok na yang Jeff.

      Delete
Kahit ateneo grad pa sya, alam naman ng lahat na he belongs to a political clan in la union! Do you think they'll appoint a nobody w/ no clout? You're insulting the intelligence of the people of la union and the whole phils for that matter! In simple words kaya na appoint yan because of his family name kahit walang experience!

  19. Hopeless Pinas as always.

  20. Well obviously, most of the commenters here di pa nakapunta ng ElYu!

Sobrang ganda ng Elyu. Aside from the touristy spots, cafes, restos and the like, PRIORITY nila alagaan yung dagat nila and mother earth in general. And what I really like dun is self service lahat. You get your food, then you clean as you go. Props to them ElYu peeps!

Kahit anong pangulo may mga appointees, halos lahat from his cabinet are political appointees.
