Why fake relationship ?the condition for kathniel to support this movie was clearly the clear distance between their work and personal lifes. And I guess no kissing scene between the leads.

Matanong ko lang, meron bang independent company na nagve-verify or audit if the figures that the film companies are releasing are accurate? Kanino kinukuha ng mga award giving bodies when it comes to Box office returns ang data nila?
It's probably not accurate pero mahirap iblow up ang figures ng sobra kasi yan din ang titingnan ng BIR at SEC. Kailangan nila mgabayad ng tax and the more they blow up the figures, mas malaki ang hihingin sa kanila. So in a business perspective, baka binawasan pa nila yang nirerelease nilang figures. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Kung may issue kayo dahil sa naunang movie ni kath nasagot na yan nung feb pa kinorek ang official amount ng kita nung movie niya. Pwede rin niyo i compute yung nilagay sa financial article ng abs malalaman niyo sagot.
If I'm not mistaken when a movie is Graded A, it's tax exempt. The thing is minsan ginagawang marketing tactic ang pag release ng malaking first day earnings. Sometimes I ask how a movie that's released on a Wednesday, can earn 30-40 million on opening day when it's not summer nor a non-working holiday, pwede pa siguro kung friday, weekend or holiday. In the US first day of showing is on a friday, when most people want to unwind after a week of work or school. Nakakataka lang naman, no hate at all.
I'm sure gustong gusto ni Alden umulit. Pero kaka-sign nya lang ng contract. Out of respect, baka dapat sa GMA muna sya gumawa ng movie before humirit ng isa pa ulit with Star Cinema. His loyalty is still with GMA and they do have their own film prod as well. I'm sure his network would be happy to bank on his latest success to help boost their standing.
TV contract ata ang ni-renew niya, so pwede pa rin siya mag-movies with Star Cinema. Besides, pragmatic ang GMA. Kung ikakasikat ng artist nila, no issues ang magpahiram. Admittedly, maganda rin ang projects ng GMA Films like Family History, but the blockbuster backbone is not there yet.

It was a risky and courageous move for Star Cinema, but it worked. It was a huge success. I don’t watch GMA shows but because of this movie I discovered Alden Richards. Napamahal na sya sa kin. Walang kasing fans kaya nasa freezer. Ang priority ngayon yung may massive fanbase especially sa socmed. Kahit multi awarded ka or talented ka pa, hindi ka priority kasi ang mga producers ngayon gustong kumita. They won’t invest sa talent na walang return of investment.
Movie making is a business not charity, producers wanted return of investments. They will get who are sure ball or will gamble with those who have potentials and those who have deep pockets fandoms!

Lets be honest, Kathryn is a bigger star than Alden and has a bigger fanbase.
I myself, I wasn’t a fan of Alden and Kathryn. But when I heard of the team up. Nakakaexcite. Cause iba eh, different networks, tapos bagong team up. It was a risky and courageous move for Star Cinema, but it worked. It was a huge success. I don’t watch GMA shows but because of this movie I discovered Alden Richards. Napamahal na sya sa kin. Sobra. You are enough Alden.

DeleteWalang kasing fans kaya nasa freezer. Ang priority ngayon yung may massive fanbase especially sa socmed. Kahit multi awarded ka or talented ka pa, hindi ka priority kasi ang mga producers ngayon gustong kumita. They won’t invest sa talent na walang return of investment.

She may not be the best actress of her generation but among her contemporaries, she's the only one who can really pull a phenomenal box office hit. Haters might come at me but just stating facts. Top 2 highest grossing Filipino movies of all time sya ang lead. That's a very hard accomplishment na siya ang nakagawa. I'll give her that. Anyway, congratulations to HLG.

You all did a good job. Kath and Alden, just like any partnership, this would not have worked kung di kayo ang pinagtambal. Direk Cathy, ang galing mo talaga. I like this better than the hows of us kasi mas polished yumg pagkakatahi ng kwento. Editing, cinematography, musical scoring... loved and love it still!
