IWant TV , Dreamscape Entertainment, Unitel x Straight Shooters & Hit Productions present ‘Mga Batang Poz’
This film is an advocacy series of IWant. Four young adults go on a road trip and in the process, confront their past and face the challenges of living with their current status. The four celebrate life in the midst of pain and love from family and friends. As the four ‘poz’ (HIV positive) individuals share their stories, the issue of high numbers of HIV positive cases among the youth is given light as well as how families come to terms with living with people with HIV.
The series boasts of Awra Briguela, Mark Neumann, Paolo Gumabao, and Fino Herrera in roles that test their acting prowess. Under the direction of Chris Martinez, ‘Mga Batang Poz’ is based on the best selling young adult novel written by Segundo Matias, Jr. Streaming on IWant starts on July 26 at 9pm.
Sana may take away lesson sa series na to. I'm just hoping hindi glorified yun condition nila. Aids is a serious medical epidemic.
ReplyDeleteWhen Mark neuman said “ huwag mong gawin sa ibang lalaki yan ah” kinilig ako ! Charot!
ReplyDelete💁🏻♂️ don't be a batang Poz. Use protection . Get a check up every month . Remember to love yourself! 🌈❤️
ReplyDeleteEvery 3 to 6 months ata yun HIV test.
You would NOT want that on your worst enemy. Sa panahon ngayon nakakatakot yan talaga. Imagine may kakilala ako may ganyan sakit. It means sobrang dami ng afflicted ng HIV. Dapat mag spread tayo ng awareness at stop the stigma. Pero of course mas mahalaga pa rin magkaroon muna ng awareness about the disease. Anyway, I will probably watch that film. Interesting and probably educational.
ReplyDeleteAno cure sa diabetes? Yung cure talaga hindi maintenance
DeleteAratilis daw potential cure sabi sa balita.
DeleteGirl, hindi naccure ang diabetes. Natretreat sya and that’s different. Get your facts straight!
I'm happy. But of course awayin niyo pa ako. :) @5:17
Delete"Get your facts straight" ka dyan 5:17 Eh yun ang nasa news at yun ang nadiscover ng batang scientist.

ReplyDeleteNaiyak ako. We're all human beings. We all equally deserve to be respected and to be treated with dignity and compassion.

ReplyDeleteOks sana but not all cases of HIV is due to because e bakla ka...pde due to using syringes na madudumi if you are a drug addict..pdeng blood transfusion, and di nverify source ng blood or thru parent, ntxfer s baby...advocacy kse sya, so sana catch all cases....
ReplyDeleteItatackle naman siguro nila.
DeleteAng alam ko based on a book ang kwento parang thesis niya noon tas sumikat.. baka next time gawan niya ng ibang characters if gumawa ulit siya
DeleteThis is based on a book, so siguro ang request ay para dapat doon sa author.
DeleteAng sarap ni Fino Herrera! Fresh face!
ReplyDeleteNapakabait pating bata, know him personally.
DeleteA close friend recently died. He just started looking weak, thin and fragile. Nakakalungkot lang na wala masyadong nakuhang support, medically man or psychologically.
ReplyDeleteWas your diagnosed to be HIV positive? Kasi truth is unlike before na parang death sentence ang HIV, ngayon eh very easy to manage na sya with the right medications, basta malaman lamg ang conditions as early as possible (yung wala pang masyado complications). In fact, people with HIV now have normal life expectancy. Pero tama ka, baka wala syang nakuhang support or even sya ay in denial sa condition nya.
DeleteOne of my closest friends from HS ay HIV positive rin. He's very normal now and undetectable na ang virus sa katawan nya.
Yes, diagnosed since 2011. Nalaman lang ng family three weeks before his death. It looks like he did not seek treatment. Hanggang sa nag progress na lang siya. I agree, may mga gamot na ngayon to prolong the life of an HIV pos person. Just that wala silang suporta kahit sa mismo sa work.
ReplyDeleteI got the ARC and the official printed version of the book. Winner sa libro pa lang. Kaya kinilabutan ako sa trailer pa lang.
