The things I can't get over with is yung kawalan din common sense. Who in their right minds would cast ng a 90+ years old as a policeman, then have him run around with a gun? Even if Eddie insisted that he can do it, being a consummate actor, caution and sense of responsibility should have prevailed. Then the lack of a medical staff onsite, denying him of immediate medical care.
I really cried while watching the breaking news of his passing away. I was really hoping for a miracle to happen and see once more Sir Eddie back on his feet doing what he loved most,acting. I know it's an accident, but if that is my lolo, i would want justice for what happened to him. We're talking about a life here, eventhough he's already 90, he's been spotless physically. Just bcoz of someone's negligence his effort of being healthy all these decades went into vain.

That is why its important to determine work-related hazards. Specially when the person involved is a senior citizen. Actually sa corporate world, automatic na retired ka na kapag 65 yrs old ka na because of the risk. In entertainment and politics, specially sa government, pwede pa sila. i will never forget when i saw him at a stall for mobile services in alabang. he was very jolly he was offered to sit down but he said he was fine. and of the many people inside the store, he stood next to the guard on duty and started talking to him making jokes especially when he learned that uragon ung guard. we were really laughing at how funny he was. he was larger than life ika nga, you could sense he was an important person without the arrogance. will surely miss him. such a legend. rest in peace Mr Eddie Garcia.
Everyone says that about him... na he's a warm person na walang yabang. He left this life well loved and well respected. This is what we should aspire to be.

ReplyDeleteI am so sad. Yes, it's true it was an accident. Nobody wanted it to happen but it was that one accident that could have been prevented. :( he died while doing his passion, acting. Hope his death will not be in vain. It took a showbiz legend to die and be a wake up call to the industry that it has to really think of its actors' and workers' welfare and working conditions, to observe even ths simplest labor rules and regulations. And may senor eddie garcia serve as a role model to our feeling entitled actors and actresses for his impecable work ethics. Rest in peace manoy. I grew up watching sampaguita pictures in rpn 9, your movies on regal tv on mondays at abs. I am so sad😭

Actually sa corporate world, automatic na retired ka na kapag 65 yrs old ka na because of the risk. In entertainment and politics, specially sa government, pwede pa sila. However, its best to really look out for their welfare.

Action scene yun, mabilisan ang kilos kaya dapat secured yung area para iwas aksidente. Pwedeng pati ang dobol, kung meron man, ay maaksidente din kung hindi cleared yung area. Eh di lalo ang isang 90 y/o na mahina na ang tuhod. Sana magsilbing aral ito sa network o producer para hindi na maulit ang ganung pangyayari.

ReplyDeletei will never forget when i saw him at a stall for mobile services in alabang. he was very jolly he was offered to sit down but he said he was fine. and of the many people inside the store, he stood next to the guard on duty and started talking to him making jokes especially when he learned that uragon ung guard. we were really laughing at how funny he was. he was larger than life ika nga, you could sense he was an important person without the arrogance. will surely miss him. such a legend. rest in peace Mr Eddie Garcia.
