    1. Eh pano yung group of ten or more sila tapos isa lang yung PWD pero sya lang oorder para mauna silang lahat sa pila? May nakasabay akong ganyan.

    4. Ang pinakacommon now na disability fraud e yung neckbrace with wheelchair combo pa minsan. Yung tulad nung ke Former Pres. GLORIA ARROYO. Kadalasan mga high govt officials nakakaranas nito lalo na pag nakulong pero ME HIMALA NAMAN na pag nakalabas na e lumalakas at sumisigla daig pa mga 25yrs old.

      Delete
    5. May dedicated line for PWD at Sr citizens.

      Delete
    6. Restaurants only allow a certain number of orders for a single PWD/Senior card.

      Delete

    8. 12:16 Just so you know, marami tlagang nagpapagawa ng fake pwd cards. Kung totoong pwd ka, then ofcourse by all means use it.

So sabi ko ok, go ahead. Aba nung nauna na, biglang sulputan yung iba, more than 5 sila, at nagsipag-order din. The nerve! Not wanting to cause a scene, i just told the attendant nung turn ko na na next time, PWD lang unahin nila and not include the companions na hindi naman pumila at all.

      Delete
Lol.

      Delete
    11. Some have dedicated line for pwd and seniors, but not all. 6:50

      Delete
Really?? Maybe yung pasabay ng orders but you still have to line up just like everybody else. And not all establishments have designated lines for pwds and seniors noh! 6:50

      Delete

      Delete
    4. 2:32 and so? Hindi ka na pwede priority kung buntis? Try mo kayo mag buntis para malamn mo gaano kahirap

      Delete
    5. Anon 2:32, being pregnant makes you eligible for the PWD card. Alamin ang rules bago mag hanash.

      Delete
    6. @ 2:32 I don’t know if nabuntis ka na before but there are women like me who suffer so much in pain because of pregnancy. I’ve had to use a cane just to walk because of pelvic girdle pain due to misaligned pelvic bones. There are days when the pain is so bad I couldn’t even walk because it was excruciatingly painful. Wag ka judgemental sa buntis. Not everyone has a smooth pregnancy. And even if the pregnancy has no issues, hindi biro magdala ng additional 10-15 kilos more na pregnant belly. Pls be more considerate to pregnant women. The law will not give them priority for public services if there’s no valid reason for them to be specially treated like so.

      Delete
    10. 2:32 pwede gumamit si 12:16 ng prio lane kahit hindi handicapped just because of her pregnancy .

      Delete
    20. 2:32am gaga! Buntis yan. May chances na pag napagod yan malaglag yung bata

    21. ay si 2:32.. libra mag research.. same category po ang pwd, preggy and senior... interchangeable po yung sign sa kanila. kasi sobrang haba na pag nilagay mo lahat. 1 signage is enough.

I believe that’s where JM is coming from. So.. who’s ignorant now??

      Delete
Nag branch out na yung argument that your facts are not relevant.

    1. Sorry, pero dito sa so called America, a person is given a handicap sticker and card only if their medical record is reviewed. Several statements from physicans are required. The irony of it all is the caregivers that came from the Philippines. Because they were given free use f their employer's car, they use it to go anywhere and park it at a designated handicap spot even without the handicap patient with them.

    2. u can be a scriptwriter with your narratives. clearly that's just an isolated case and does not represent the rest of the pwds in this country. Are people gonna go that low as to the extent of faking one's sickness to avail of discounts and priority lanes at a "social climbing" food chain?

      Delete
    3. PWDs can be social climbers too, you know. Lol. And what is even a “social climbing” food chain to begin with?

      Delete
    4. As far as I know may certificate galing sa doctor kung ano ang sakit mo bago ka bigyan ng PWD card at hindi lahat ng klase ng sakit ay covered.

    5. 1:10 have you heard of insurance disability fraud?! It was rampant in the US two decades ago. Now they made adjustments.

    6. My son has learning delays. Physically normal sya but mentally hindi nya "ka-edad yun devt ng utak nya". At bago ako nkakuha ng pwd id kailangan ng assessment from a devt pedia.

      Delete
    7. 12:51 Mahirap ang fake PWD sa America but nakakalusot pa rin in a way... For example, my coworker is clearly not disabled but her mom who had died YEARS ago, had the special parking PWD tag. She still uses it until now to park closer to our entrance sa workplace.

      Delete
  8. Most people think the PWD are only those who are wheelchair bound. Perhaps the logo should be changed.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Gawing PWD na nakaimbose o sign imbis na wheelchair.

  9. Ok lang kung yung may disability talaga yung bibili eh, one time may nakasabay ako, disabled daw sya kaya ok, go, mauna ka na, tapos biglang isang barangay pala yung nagpasabay bumili sa kanya. Sana establishments do something about it, na kung ilan yung may id, yun lang yung number of orders na ittake.

      Delete
    2. 1:35 hindi naman kakapalan ng mukha pag ganun. ME PAKINABANG ANG PWD ang tawag dun.

    Kailangan ba nila mag wheelchair?

    ReplyDelete

What for?

The ID is not fake pero yung make up illness, yun yung fake dahil nakakapag racing pa nga at he's into cars a lot. He's even talking his brother into getting one (the brother is wearing glasses but not technically blind) at sya na daw magaasikaso bayaran na lang sya after makuha yung card.

Hahaha. Anyway, to shorten, meron talagang nakakakuha ng PWD id kahit di sila PWD!

    4. 2:04 It’s not an isolated case . Mabilis lng talaga magpagawa. Get real.

    3. If you know someone who acquired a PWD out of fake documents, then you should report that person. It's the right thing to do.

      Delete
  21. Unfortunately, YES fake PWD IDs do exist. I can attest to this. I have several friends who were able to get an ID kahit walang disability, "bayad ka lang ng X amount" para makadiscount sila sa mga restos. (Hindi ko na inalam yung exact way how they were able to procure the IDs since wala naman ako intention na gayahin sila, but my impression is, it wasn't hard to do.) So these could have been the kind of people JM was referring to in his post.

Pero kay JM Rodriguez, kuya money can't buy class and brains noh? Airhead lang talaga...

    6. Hindi isolated case yan. I know at least 10 persons who have a PWD ID na hindi naman disabled. And the ID all came from 1 city in metro manila. 5k-8k daw, and no need to go to a doctor or dswd.

  22. Family member is legally blind na totally na sa left side and hemi blind on rightside, pero she doesn’t want to use her card kase daw people are always nosy why she’s DA and she has to explain everything to strangers.

  23. For the record, only persons with poor vision that cannot be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, medication or surgery are eligible for a PWD Card. You must have 20/70 best corrected visual acuity on the better eye to be labeled low vision, and 20/200 visual acuity on the better eye to be labeled legally blind.

  26. I don’t agree either to the recommendation of the commenter- bring your own pwd or SC daw to access priority lane. You don’t use them to get ahead. It’s their right, yes, but don’t abuse it by using them even if they won’t even eat what you’re ordering. I questioned the same in one of the grocery stores. The lady without her sc mother used the sc card to buy groceries. I thought it’s only allowed if the sc is present?

Minsan yung matanda mahina na at malimutin. Huwag manghusga at huwag mang assume. Remember, tatanda rin kayo and you will experience all this.

A meltdown is not the same as a temper tantrum. ... When a person is completely overwhelmed, and their condition means it is difficult to express that in appropriate way, it is understandable that the result is a meltdown. Meltdowns are not the only way a person on the autism spectrum may express feeling overwhelmed.

    15. Common sense naman. Of course there are pwds na hindi maka line up on their own. I do the same in the grocery. I line up sa pwd lane para mabilis because i need to get to my daughter who has a syndrome, asap. Tbh, i have abused the ID a couple of times. Like sa mga fastfood or mercury drug. But you know what? I think i deserve it! I think this is something that can only be understood by someone in my position. My daughter has been in therapy since 3 months old and probably will be until her 20s. We spend 30k a month on therapies not counting the numerous tests and doctors she has regularly. Until her death, she will be reliant on us. I maximize the pwd card kasi yun lang naman ginhawa namin. It's the only thing na bumabawas sa dami ng gastos in raising a PWD child.

    16. 8:00 So are you saying na transferrable ang pwd card?? Duh! It just doesn’t work that way. Duh back at you!

    17. Sa grocery they allow it basta may authorization letter. Yung lola ko 82 years old and di na makakalabas ng madalas dahil nahihirapan sya. So everytime I buy her supplies like diapers and snacks nag sesenior ako.

      Delete
    18. Senior’s discount naman talaga may be used when buying stuff and meds for a senior citizen, but yes, kelangan nga ng authorization letter. I think yung issue ng mga comments sa taas ay yung using somebody else’s senior’s or pwd card just to get ahead of everyone else in line.

      Delete
    19. Unfortunately, not all PWDs can write an authorization letter esp if developmentally disabled like those with autism. And for some people with autism, going to a grocery and lining up to pay are very challenging.

  29. They don't know how hard it is to have a son with autism. It may not be obvious but aside from 30 secs look from other people they do not know the hardship of raising one, financially, emotionally and physically. the pwd gave us some relief kung gusto nya sa kanya n lng ung pwd card, mawala n lng ung disability ng anak ko. I still give priority to others like seniors or blind and handicapped but people should be more conscious and not to judge immediately.

JM for sure hindi naiintindihan sinasabi nya!

    5. Wrong! Privilege and right yun ng mga PWD. Sa batas it says ALL PWD are entitled sa access sa priority lanes, NOT just those na apparent ang disabilities. So kahit functional ka or hindi, basta you are a PWD, it is a privilege.

    6. Special children are PWDs. They may be able to stand but they may have peculiar behavior. Thus they are given special treatment even in just lining up. Airlines, for a fact, limit number of special children in each flight.
People should read more about special children so they understand better why such children are provided special attention. It is not proper to make any unnecessary comments about special children even saying that ' I am jealous...' especially within the hearing of parents of special child. (he doesn't know how and what it takes to care for this Wonderful angelic creatures. That behavior is ultimate Arrogance and Ignorance.

    7. I disagree with you, 1:48. And ako kahit pregnant ako, pinapauna ko yung mga senior and those na mas nangangailangan, but that doesn't discount my entitlement to use the priority lane. Those using a fake card is another issue.

    9. @1:48 PWD have been living with their disability all their life. We don't know exactly the struggles they need to go through unless we have their disability ourselves. Why can't we be a little considerate to them? Falling in line sa restaurants or groceries just take some minutes, if they could exchange that for a "normal life", don't you think they would? It's just a stupid burger anyway!

In other words sana lahat may delikadeza to be honest and not abuse the privileges given to them.

  52. I have a hidden disability and I'm always conscious by what my PWD card says because of the social stigma it carries. It also is a legitimate concern for seeking gainful employment because all those "equal opportunity" tags we see are often just branding or marketing. So I'm offended when people who are obviously ignorant of the kind of disability I suffer from think I'm getting a free pass or have it easy because I can use the priority lane in a burger place even when I'm "functional" because I'm not in a wheelchair or I don't have any limbs missing. For those who think one is "functional" when they have all limbs, can walk and breathe - think again what functional means and why even those with hidden disabilities are allowed to use the priority lanes. There's is nothing fun or great about having a PWD card because of what it truly means for people like me.
