    1. She meant that she tries to post generic stuff that the majority of the people can relate to because her followers are from mixed demographics that span a lot of different cultures and religion. It’s a diversity thing. That’s why she opts to post stuff that discusses common interests such as vacation or going to the beach because if she posts about Holy Week, her followers from different religious sects won’t be able to relate. It’s kind of like how multinational companies refer to their December parties as Yearend Parties and not Christmas Parties to include people of diverse backgrounds.

    4. Oh common! Bihira lang magpost si cat eh di sana nilubos lubos na nya since longing for the beach lang din naman ang laman ng message nya and nothing worthwhile like they have been doing in Muorg. Bat kelangan nya pa sabihin na gusto nya lang mag beach eh I doubt if people of religion would care or even notice anything catholic about her beach message since hindi naman nya namention na holyweek so how can she claim that she's only being sensitive to the Muslims, Buddhists, etc by saying that she wants to go to the Philippine beaches??? Sabaw pa more!

    5. Thank you 12:39.

    2. Pwede ba wag kayo aning dyan.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

LOL! Sino ngayon ang sabaw?

  7. After romanticizing poverty. Here she is talking about inclusivity. While she just excluded and disrespected her followers who take Lent seriously. Something is just off with this girl.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You know what's off? Your being out of touch with reality. You always find reasons to be offended by tings that are too trivial. You could twist someone's words just so you could be offended. It's like you're addicted to being offended.

      Delete
    2. Huh ikaw ata di nakagets girl! She disrespected who? Are we all catholic here? I for one is not. And I dont think my catholic brothers and sisters will feel insulted by her answer.

      Delete
    3. 1244 rightious people like you het disrespected. May you burn in hell with your judgemental and bitter ways.

      Delete
    4. Somethings is just off with you, girl.

      Delete
    5. nag edit na nga siya ng caption to ammend that. yun na yung way niya - tinanggal na yung “holy week” para mas general ang topic.

also, not at people clutching their pearls at how others are “being” disrespectful about how lent should be observed...and yet nandito pa rin sa socmed at fashionpulis commenting like it’s just an ordinary day. kung ang isang tao palalabasin na he/she’s someone who faithfully abides by Holy Week traditions kasama ang taking a break from common conveniences (like the internet).

      Delete
    6. How did she disrespect her followers who take lent seriously 12:44? I’m a Catholic but not a practicing one. I don’t go to church nor do I observe religious festivals. I respect others’ practices by just minding my own business and letting them do their own.

      Delete
    7. And you disrespected her views as well. So kayo lang pwedeng respetuhin? Lenten season does not mean you should not enjoy and go for a vacation. The death of Jesus was more than 2000 yrs ago and He is already victorious therefore, we celebrate!

      Delete
    8. Something is off with people who take Lent seriously. GTFO with your fundamentalist views. Religion, when taken seriously, never leads to anything good.

      Delete
    9. 1244 its as if everybody is a carholic. I dont think my catholic friends would get disrespected with what she said.

      Delete
    10. Nung una kasi she really mentioned holy week talaga sa caption niya sa pic na yan, na parang pag holy week masarap magbeach at magswimming ganern. May mga nagreact, na di naman natin masisisi if nahurt sila because of their religious practices, kaya ayan pinalitan na lang nya yung caption sa pic naging generic na lang para wala na sigurong issue. siguro dapat di nya inassociate yung holy week sa beach, yun yung issue ng iba, sana holidays na lang ginamit nya, lol.

      Delete
    11. Mas lalong something is off with naman no. Kung yung magandang papananaw ng tao ay mali sayo. So malamang sa alamang sayo may off. Palaka ka.

      Delete
    12. AHA! Then the original post is really insensitive pala to catholics who take the holy week seriously tapos eto sya ngayon citing INCLUSIVITY as excuse kung ba't gusto nyang magbeach sa holy week as if naman masasaktan at mao-offend ang mga muslims, buddhists etc sa post na ganun. AS IF OTHE RELIGIONS CARE ABOUT HOW MISS UNIVERSE WANTS TO SPEND HER HOLY WEEK??? GIVE ME A BREAK! Sorry, but only her fantards think she's smart and sensible.

      Delete
  8. Mga pinsan ko are Christians. They don't have stuffs like ung mga magvivisit ng church, stations of the cross, 7 last words, etc. They incorporate their bible study on their holy week vacay.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I'm a Christian and yes, we don't do visita Iglesia rather we celebrate resurrection day coz Jesus has already risen and has conquered death more than 2 thousand years ago. There is nothing wrong for us if we go on vacation or if we eat meat.

      Delete
    2. Let's not compare religions or beliefs here. If that is how you practice 1:10, then that's good. No need to mention other things where you might start a debate. wala ring masama sa ibang sect if they don't eat meat during Holy week...

      Delete
    3. It's not to compare naman. Rather, to tell that there are other people who have different practices on Lenten Season. At the end of the day, everything is about celebrating Jesus. I just don't like it when some Catholics impose their beliefs on others. Like we should all mourn because Christ is dead then go back to being happy on Sunday.

      Delete
  9. Even the bishops say it's not wrong to take vacations during Holy Week as long as they observe reflection, meditation and some time for the Lord. Only people who feel they're the righteous ones take offense on things that shouldn't be their business.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Uh no. Lahat ng pari at bishops ay against sa vacation pag Holy Week. May facts ka para ibackup claim mo?

      Delete
    2. No, Catholic priests and bishops do not allow and won't advise taking vacations during the Holy Week. It is one of the most sacred time for Catholic Christians. Same as Muslims with their Ramadan, we should take Holy Week as religiously as we can.

      Delete
    3. @anon 2:51 I think the burden of backing up claims is on you. In order for you to claim that all priests and bishops are against vacations on Holy Week, you should have surveyed every priest and bishop that ever existed regarding their position on this. I for one know one priest that is not against it. And so by default negated na argument mo

      Delete
    4. Anon 2:51, says who? My uncle is a priest and our family always take a vacation to the beach on holy week. Our parish priest is now on vacation in his hometown so there’s a substitute priest to oversee holy week.
You are the one with the holier-than-thou people here are talking about.

      Delete
    5. 12:51 here. I'd like to send you the latest link from an article about this but too lazy to spoonfeed people with closed minds. Go research. As I've said, they don't prohibit going on vacations as long time is allotted for reflection and celebration of paschal triduum: the dying, crucifixion, and rising from the dead and extend to ascension.

      Delete
  10. good on her for explaining and still editing her post.

akin lang kung sasabihin mo na holy week isn’t about vacationing and yet you’re still on socmed instead of abstaining from that as well (kasi kung tradisyonal ka talaga you also try to take a break from other “conveniences/luxuries” like TV or internet for example)...medyo impokrita lang dating.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Please lang just respect someones decision and beliefs. King gustong mag socmed pabayaan. I dont think nagkakasala ka kung hindi ka nag aabstain from anything like socmed for example.

      Delete
    2. 12:56. Coming from you who made an effort to check and write on this website while you could’ve done the whole abstaining from social media thing yourself. People like you will always find ways to be negative at any normal post a celebrity shows.

      Delete
    3. 2:41 and 3:04

I was talking about the person who said that Holy Week is not about vacationing - not Catriona.

    4. Anon 12:56, you are effing full of yourself. Don’t impose your medieval beliefs on others. Just live and let live!

  12. Oo nga naman. Her followers come from all walks of life. She should be wholistic, universal rather...

    1. Kalokohan!

      Delete
    2. Wrong, it’s all about her and her belief.

      Delete
    3. But she is talking about Holy Week, not summer vacation. What is your point?

      Delete
  13. Let's be honest guys, karamihan satin ang holy week e tinuturing na bakasyon. Wala naman masama duon dahil pwede tayo makapag nilaynilay while on vacation. Huwag tayong hypocrite.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That’s precisely the message of priests I see on TV - find time para magnilaynilay while on vacation.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
And guess what, pag di ka naniwala “mapupunta ka sa impyerno” as if being a judgemental is not a sin in their religion. Bunch of hypocrites na naglilinis-linisan using their god.

      Delete
    2. Hayaan mong magwala ang mga hypokrita.

    3. nako baka meron mag-comment na ayon sa ganitong verse kasalanan yan hahahaha 2:15 at 9:01 I agree, mas ayos na maging mabait na lang kesa kuno ay maka-Diyos pero makitid ang mga utak or we could be both! ;)

  27. Catriona gray doesn't make any sense! She just said that we catholics are offending other religions if we mention on ig anything about holy week. WTF???!!! You mean to tell us catriona that we should not mention anything about christmas too because other religions don't have that and it may hurt their feelings??? UNBELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS REASONING AND ONLY HER FANTARDS ARE IMPRESSED. Tsk! Tsk!
