  1. Nakakarelate ako ganito yung parents ko.Both mom and dad minsan nagrereklamo ako at natawa father ko..

  5. Nalungkot ako reading this. Naalala ko dad ko. I wish I could've spent more time with him, done more for him, because he deserved it. He worked hard to support us, never complaining. Never take your parents for granted, guys. One day, they won't be there and they'll never come back.

  9. I literally sobbed reading this. I feel exactly the same and every word Benjamin wrote resonates in my mind. There's not a day that I don't think of my father and each time, I still feel the pain and longing. I always feel that he has just passed on yesterday though it's been almost a decade. I love my dad so much but I never really put it into words. Only on the last week of his life did I tell him how much I love him and asked forgiveness for all the shortcomings I ever had. Then a few days after, he died of cancer. I haven't really moved on.

  10. totally agree. You never realize that you have the wrong priorities until someone is gone. I had been working for a bank for almost 25 years. When my mom fell ill, I didn't hesitate to give up a 6-figure salary because having it didn't make me concentrate on my work better. All I could think about was my mom. I realized then that the only time I really got to talk to my mom was a few minutes a day, a few hours a week and a few days a year; even if we lived together. I spent more time talking to clients than my own family. I am glad that, no matter how short, I was able to bond with my mom during her last 8 months. Now, I value every second I have with my family and encourage my siblings to do the same as well.

  11. When we grow up, we realize our parents are humans, too, with their own dreams, aspirations, and mistakes. That's one of my biggest lessons after losing both my parents
