Nope, even if I get paid a hundred thousand for it. I hope eacj of ypu get paid what you deserved.
Its just like watching Games of Thrones, or a Brillante Mendiza film or a Quentin Tarantino or Some Japanese gore film or a so called Indie film. Rotten.com ang pinaka dahil walang nagmomoderate dun as in LAHAT ng karumal dumal andun!
I do think watching a violent film is different from watching those livestream on FB. Sa films, alam mong props, makeup and not not real yung nakikita mo. Whereas on live stream totoo yun, there are real lives not actors involved who might lose their lives or lose their youth, innocence or the promise of life.
@ mar 23 1:16am. Naku isa lang ang rotten, Inhope nga you didn’t mention the name, ang dami pang violent sites sa dark web grabe. Mas worse pa iba. I actually regret going to those sites, iba psychological scar na maiiwan nun that you can’t unsee. Nung una oks pa eh, lalo curious ka pero after a while it takes a toll on you psychologically. To those readig this, just stick to movies, iba ang reality nakakaawa lang makikita mo then yung effect sayo on the long run. Nakuu.. I remember there was even a dark site about obsession of corpses of good looking people. Omg. Haays. Basta don’t try it guys.
I don’t see anything wrong with it. It’s your freaking job that you signed in to. There’s a lot more worse job, think about those na nasa SOCO, forensics. I dunno ha pero ang oa for me. Reklamador talaga mga pinoy
Hindi madali yung trabaho nila. It does affect you psychologically if you’re not prepared. May mga psychological evaluations ba sila pag ganito? Self-awareness exercises? Wala siguro kaya nakakaawa sila. They need support.
Also yung mga nasa soco at forensics... those people went to school for it and were trained na to be prepared sa kung ano yung mga makikita nila. Pero even then, may mga cases din that can take a toll on you.
Wow 12:32, that's so insensitive of you. Unlike you, not all people can stomach looking at traumatic scenes every day. Even mga police and forensics, it can also mess with their minds. What more these people na just wanted, needed, to earn money? Some are just teenagers, geez!
Alam mo, hindi lahat kaya manood videos ng suicide, murder, torture (animal & human) tulad mo. These people, just to earn money, have to watch THOUSANDS of these videos. Maapektuhan talaga psyche mo nyan. Remember that video Daisy's Destruction where an 18-month old was being tortured? Marami sa nakapanood nun regretted clicking it. The child's cries was just etched in their mind. Now these content moderators encounter stuff like that all the time, imagine that?
Dont compare! Yun soco handa sila don since the beginning. They are trained numerous years for that. But thank to them hindi n kumakalat yun ganon balita s socmed.
Please watch the documentary, 12:32AM. It's on Youtube. The agents work with the largest volumes of disturbing content in the world. Be considerate of their workplace safety.

Napakasablay ng comment na ‘to. Smh. Iba ang soco, first nag school sila, and trained. And ibang iba ang forensics sa makikita mo violent videos like actual behaeading, stabbing while the person is tied up and moaning... hay naku you’re so freaking ignorant. As the others say, psychologists really advises people seeing violence to undergo sessions to unload mentally, heck, even psyschologists themselves do it.
Seriously? Well, you haven't experience working in a the BPO industry na outsource nla ang trabaho while those US companies are saving 80-90% of cost na pag outsource nla sa trabaho. Tapos with their jobs as content moderator na everyday their mental health is at stake and yes contract sla na pinirmahan but when they signed up for it the didn't know the account they'll work on.
This is traumatizing for those who want to quit but can’t because of the contract that they have already signed. Filipinos lang ba ang workers? Are there any other nationalities involved. This is a stressful job.
mahirap ang walang psychological support. 911 operators have that and can even file for extensive medical leave due to stress (or ptsd). dapat ganun din sa mga content moderators na yan.
I just don't know if may premium ba sa sahod.
Change career then. I know it sounds easy but may hard to do but at the end of the day, they are aware that they have a choice. Ano ba mas important sa kanila, pera o mental/emotional health nila?they have to make a decision whether to quit or go on. 6 yrs of working as a content moderator?that is horrible.
Social media is the devil's playground. Sobra hirap ng trabaho na yan. Kahit magkano pa ibayad it's not enough. Ive been off all social media for 4 years and it's one of my best decisions.
@130 subukan mo nga. Nung una may hesitation ako na hwag gawin kasi I will lose contact with some people. Kung may importante silang kailangan ipaalam or sabihin sa akin they'll know where to find me. Isa pa may viber at whatsapp pa naman. Now I'm so much at peace kasi isa pa I'm an introvert so di talaga kami jive ng social media. Yun mga artista or taong may business na prinopromote etc etc naintindihan ko Kung bakit they need to do those. As for me na private individual lang I really don't see the point.
I’ve also been off social media for 2 years. I have a blogger friend and I’ve been exposed to how things work. So I guess, the appeal wore off. Social media is fake, pretentious and dangerous for mental health. It encourages a lot of negative traits and emotions. Narcissism, body image issues, fomo etc. For celebrities, it’s fine because people are interested in them but for private people I also don’t see the point.
I deactivated my account 3 years ago dahil naalibadbaran ako sa Facebook, seems like everyone has this "look at me" mentality and vying for likes. Life became more peaceful and productive. I was able to focus on myself, learned new things, and started several businesses.
Every year naglilinis ako ng friendlist. As in tanggal lahat except sa asawa ko at parents.
I'm only keeping FB for the sake that it is a convenient way to be in touch with family members and friends. I view it as a tool, not a necessity. When I browse, I don't let myself get affected when I see posts that are not in line with mine. After all, we all don't think alike. Neither do I linger with posts, I just scan through when I am online. Snooze or unfollow if I get too irritated, but I won't call out a person for what they posted unless it is really gross and something that shouldn't be posted...and I do it via PM. So far it works for me, and haven't felt stressed with social media.
Papano pa sila na ilang libo ang ganong klase ng videos ang nakikita from animal to human abuse at kung ano ano pang nakaka upset na images at videos. Tapos wala pang any psychological support from their team.
I also make sure 2 hrs before I go to bed hindi ko na hawak ang phone ko and stop na din ang tv. Nagwowork naman for me. Nakakatulog ako ng mahimbing.
I have a similar job a few years ako. Yun account naman namin puro porn sites naman. Everyday un ang need namin panoorin. Akala nun iba masaya pero stressful masyado to d point na I need to resign kasi nagka thyroid problem na ako due to stress. Paano pa if videos with violence pa acct na napunta sakin?
Imagine kung magviral or pakalat kalat actual na nagtatalik or BJ. May mga pornsites for that it's not for social media. May mga nakakalusot pa rin sometimes na we users can also flag as obscene or porn.
It’s not only Facebook. I was outsourced before by a huge global media company to get all the latest breaking news worldwide from ordinary citizens. This job gave me knowledge that there are bombings, shootings, killings, road accidents, plane mishaps, refugees dying at sea and other heartbreaking in other parts of the world everyday. Araw araw ako umiiyak at nakakaloka kasi wala talagang emotional support. Mahirap talaga. Malaki man ang sweldo in dollars pa yan pero malulunod ka naman sa depression.
The gradual realization that the world is SO disturbingly cruel and messed up, then feeling the need to tell everyone for awareness yet hesitate to do so because you don't want to come off as "nega"... It's so emotionally draining, I feel you.
Muntik nako magwork before sa isang magandang company na Facebook account and yes, ssad to say mababa sila magpasahod sa content moderator. Sa previous account na napuntahan ko, moderator ako sa isang dating side and just like them, i've seen worse. Nakita ko ang isang toddler giving BJ to her Father, all forms of killing to a person, more porn images and videos that we have to delete and some need to be escalated.
They can also request for a special session if they find it necessary. Their pay is higher than the usual BPO job din. People can say "heartless", pero you signed up for that kind of work e, so trabaho mo yan. I am not a Content Moderator but I know their line of work.
Or kung may alam man, superficial lang.
I am working in a hospital, minsan nadadala ko sa bahay ang stress at drama, what more sila na 8hrs or more eh nagfifilter ng mga graphic at violent videos and pics, subconsciously maaabsorb mo yan.
OOOOOMMMMGGGGG! Ako nga GOOD DRAMA lang mapanuod aobrang affected na ko as in minsan nagsusungit akong hindi ko alam , PAANO PA SILA?
ReplyDeleteIn my case, pag puro reklamo o palaaway, maarte masyado sa Facebook, unfollow or unfriend ko na kaagad. Ayokong maistress, how much more ganyan.
