  2. Very aware ang mga Americans sa discrimination laws especially in the workplace. Keeping your job is paramount and will not do anything to jeopardize it.
There is something you're not telling us BB. Maybe you started it?? They are not in a habit of beating people up for no apparent reason. Jeez

    2. Hmmm really? Discrimination is still rampant in the states. Being transgender and asian at that, sadly its not surprising to know she have been through something discriminatory

    3. There are still a LOT of discriminatory work practices in the States, regardless of their laws. And she didn't say she was "beat up", it could've been verbal abuse too.

    4. 2:12, your comment is just so flat out stupid. There are a lot bullies everywhere you go honey. Sa kweba ka ba nakatira?

      Delete
    5. Bounderies being violated means physical encounter. Besides kung parinig lang or tukso, you can tell management and it will immediately stop.

      Delete
    6. Wow, really? Americans are aware of the laws but hey, it exist & still exist in my work place and Im not a transgender but Im an Asian.. its up to you to stand up & fight for your right, if not then, you'll end up in one corner just like Bb.

    7. Totally agree! Sa mga hindi nakaka experience ng daily grind sa States at giving opinions based on emotions...that's where the problem lies.

    12. 5:08 OO, aware kami sa discrimination laws and we have seminars every year especially on sexual harassment. Baka hindi mga professionals kasama mo sa work. We are a melting pot in the office numbering to 70 people. Halos lahat ng lahi nandoon and we respect each other.
Baka naman hindi appropriate kumilos yung victim daw. - 2:12

    13. Si 2:12 yata ang nam bully kay BB. hahaha!

    14. Duh regardless if he started it or not it’s still a professional environment. Take it to your manager then HR. Don’t victim blame people coz you don’t know how people react here. It’s not like you can control how people act around you. I myself was discriminated at work here in the US just for being a Filipino and make fun of my accent? Did I bring it upon myself heck no! So shut up! You do you!

      Delete
    15. @2:12
Sis the american president himself is a perceived racist and bully so yes americans are aware but NO there are a lot of racists and bullies in america. #fact

      Delete
    16. 2:12 not all office have the same dynamics as yours. stop victim shaming.

      Delete
    17. Nakatira ako sa Toronto at kahit ano pa chenes dito, may discrimination din

      Delete
    18. Just because you are in a working environment that doesn't have any discrimination of race and gender doesn't meant it doesn't happen. It's like saying "asawa ko hindi ako binugbog so ibig sabihin nun lahat ng asawa hindi nagbubugbog. Baka ikaw nagsimula kaya ka binubog" lucky you. How about other people

      Delete
    19. 2:12/5:42 do you not watch the news? There are so many people comitting suicide because of bullying. Are you going to tell me now that those victims had it coming? That it's their fault they were being bullied? Open your eyes and ests and see the world for what it is. And if you really live in the US as you claim, you'd have said "I live/work in the US". Nobody that lives in the US says I live/work in USA

      Delete
    20. 4:37 aka 2:12. You live in the US yet you are not aware na hindi lahat ng taga jan eh sumusunod sa discrimination laws? The point is, you don't know and we don't know what exactly happened to BB and yet you have the tenacity to victim blame. Yes for me you have a kweba thinking

      Delete
    21. 1:33AM true. Hindi lahat sumusunod sa discrimination laws. HOWEVER, with the political climate right now, isang tawag lang sa HR maiinvestigate yan. Kung di sa HR, sa BBB or sa labor union or sa dept. of labor or EEO mismo. Maraming pwedeng gawin so it doesn't get this far. So kapani paniwala si isang commenter na there is something that BB isn't telling.

      Delete
    22. 2:12 sus pinagsasabi mo eh ang presidente at pati buong RNC mga racists din lels! Suwertihan din talaga makahanap ng maayos na workplace dito sa US. Naka 3 company na ako swerte na mababait mga kasama ko.

    23. Although I agree with you 1:23 nalito ako ng slight sa last statement mo

    24. 3:07, what if the one bullying has a lot of power and she (bb) can't just simply report this person? What I don't get is victim blaming agad. We pinoys are matiisin and hnd pala sumbong for the sake of our jobs. Alam mo un?

      Delete
    25. 2:28 lot of power? Girl. Kahit nga GM ng hotel may boss at ung boss nya may boss din plus HR pa. Everyone looks after their own butt dahil sa US lawsuits are easy. Unless BB is working for the gov't., then there's no such thing as a lot of power na she can't complain

      Delete
    26. Kahit may-ari pa ng kumpanya iyan, puwede siyang magreklamo sa Department of Labor.

      Delete
    27. Anon 4:36. Especially, if she works for the government. I am a retired civil rights counselor and was in charge of the Asians. The government agencies have counselors who can help her file a case against those who are discriminating against her and her group is also protected now under the Federal Women’s Program. And if she does not work for the government, go to the Department of Labor. She will be assisted. And I mean here in the US.

  3. hindi naman yata binugbog. Binully verbally tapos nagkaanxiety na. Parang di naman kasi sya ginamot dahil sa physical injuries base sa post nya.

  4. I smell BS when I see it. Pa relevant na naman. People like you BB is the problem nowadays. Using your chosen gender to divide this country, knowing that some people will come to your rescue and defend you all for the sake of attention. How long has it been since everyone know you are a trans and you are getting bullied just now? America's law is very strict when it comes to sexual descrimination...especially the State you're at. Kaya pwede ba?

  12. There are plenty of laws against discrimination in US, but not all follows it. Just ask any call center agents for US accounts, they can tell you stories on how they are discriminated over phone. The race cards are almost always used especially when it's about credit rating. And there are lot of bullies for the third sex even if the penalties are stiff since they can get away with it most of the times.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Just to educate you guys, as a manager who take these classes..... bullying is different from discrimination. There are laws against discrimination, whilst none for Bullying. Research din kayo pag may time, wag nga kayo mag Victim Shaming kasi ako beki ako, pero hindi alam ng work ko kasi mabubully lang ako. Im not emotionally and mentally ready for that. Sana naman we ahow symphaty within each other para things like what Bb went through does not happen again.

    1. Yes, being aware of discrimination laws ay iba sa observing it. Sad to say bullying is not protected by the law. Both discrimination and bullying come in different forms. I have worked in different offices/companies, malaki, maliit, medium size here in North America and I could say na there are still people who discriminate against race, gender and sexual orientation. They are Caucasians, Asians, middle Easterns, Europeans, etc. Minsan nga sarili mong kababayan, nang didiscriminate rin (example they talk of bad traits of people from different regions, calling indigenous people by a name). Grabe nga kung mag name call sila sa mga native Americans. Minsan gusto kung iremind sila na hoy, tayo ang dayuhan dito this land is really theirs. Someone who gets attention and praise for work done well gets bullied by co workers because they see the person as a threat. From my experiences, I show them that I cannot be bullied nor will ever I keep quiet about discrimination. I try to do this in a manner na hindi nagtataray but just to let them know there can be legal consequences just in case they step out of line. What BB could do is talk to the HR Dept if there is one. I once worked in an office where there were signs against discrimination and bullying in the break time lounge. In my doctor's office there are signs reminding patients that harsh, disrespectful language and rudeness to staff is not encouraged and that the same should be reported if patients get same rude treatment from staff. I think it is the management's responsibility to ensure that the workplace is safe and free from discrimination and bullying.

  15. Sorry guys but wake up there’s no right or wrong place for transgender. You will always feel outcast no matter where you go. That’s the reality out there. Deal with it. I am not against with it nor I can do anything about it.

    1. That’s why my Lolo keeps on reminding me to do the right thing, that’s what makes you happy not the other way around- do what makes you happy even its not right. When you do right you don’t have to explain and depend yourself to pol officers, lawyers, society, to everyone. Wisdom of an old man.

      Delete
    2. @5:44, you clearly misinterpreted your Lolo's wisdom. You do the right thing by following the law. Being trangender isn't against the law. Why do you have to explain being trangender to the police officers, lawyers, society?

  16. BB mabuti at nag-pahinga ka. Rest easy at kailangan mo yan. Three words: hostile work environment. I support you and maraming FP classmates ang nais na nasa mabuti ka.

  17. baka naman nilabas niya ang pagiging action star niya as Bb. pero, whatever is the cause, let's hope she recovers. living abroad with no steady source of income and non-acceptance of her family are tough and would really affect Bb.

  18. I hope you will be able to get through these trying times BB. Everything will fall into place and i know in God's time di kna magkakaroon ng ganitong treatment.

  19. This time, a family member should fly to the US and be by his side. BB needs help physically and emotionally. If he looses his job, he can also be financially strapped. This is a cry for help.
