One major lesson I wish my younger self knew: some things are worth fighting for, yes..but if it's meant to be, it shouldn't be too hard. You can't fight someone's battle for them. Not in the long term. It'll get to you and drain you. Both have to make the same efforts towards the same goals. If your values differ, you won't find peace.

I would feel bad if one day they won’t end up on each other because of “the people” around them. I admire Sarah for always putting her family as her priority but I will never lose my respect if she decides to go against her parents. I have no absolute idea of what’s going on (same with everyone here that we only get bits of information from random anonymous sources) but I reckon it’s about time that she decides and take control of her life. She’s not a teenager. She knows what she wants. If she fails, that’s how life rolls but in the end you learn lesson. Aside from being educated in a fine school and being a bonafide member of alta sociedad, he has a family who does not see him as a cash cow. 🙄 If anything, if they go the aristokrata way, they would make sure he ends up with a girl having pedigreed background, but they are gracious with Sarah because their boy loves her.

ReplyDeleteI would feel bad if one day they won’t end up on each other because of “the people” around them. I admire Sarah for always putting her family as her priority but I will never lose my respect if she decides to go against her parents. I have no absolute idea of what’s going on (same with everyone here that we only get bits of information from random anonymous sources) but I reckon it’s about time that she decides and take control of her life. She’s not a teenager. She knows what she wants. If she fails, that’s how life rolls but in the end you learn lesson. Being afraid to leap on the other side will only haunt you for the rest of your life where you could have just “tried”
