Repost: Complete List of Winners of the Academy Awards 2019

After months of glamorous preamble, anxious speculation—and more than a few controversies—Oscar night arrived on Sunday, filled with both expected wins (Rami Malek as best actor; Alfonso Cuarón as best director) and upsets—specifically best picture, which went to Green Book over Roma, and best actress Olivia Colman, who received a stunning victory over expected victor Glenn Close.

Though the Green Book producers hardly seemed fazed at their underdog win—which came after the film had already secured the best-supporting-actor and best-original-screenplay prizes—Colman was as shocked as anyone else as she accepted her award, stammering out, “It’s genuinely quite stressful!” as she took the stage. The genuine emotion of her acceptance speech was matched only by the crackling chemistry shared by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, who melted hearts and minds with their soulful rendition of “Shallow”—the Star Is Born rallying cry that wound up winning best original song.

Look below for a full list of winners, recorded in the order in which they were announced. And don’t go anywhere—because now that the show is over, it’s time for Vanity Fair’s Oscar party livestream to begin.

    1. I like her acting din dun sa movie and fan din ako ni lady gaga pero hindi “pa” pang best actress ng oscars yung level, not bad tho since first movie niya to at talagang kaya niya makipagsabayan sa other nominees. Maybe sa next movie sana manalo na sya.

  2. i was rooting for Roma or The Favourite. both are best picture worthy material. idk about green book tho.

    1. Agree! Kung hindi Roma, mas ok kung The Favourite nanalo. Green Book is too safe and mukhang Best Picture noong 1995 at hindi 2019. Lol.

    2. 1:40 I agree! Green Book is neither revolutionary nor impeccably-made. White perspective na naman. Parang bad version of Driving Miss Daisy lang. My favourite is The Favourite, hehe. Stress pero dumikit sa utak ko nang matagal.

    1. It was always between Close and Colman. Gaga was a lock for Best Song.

    1. The highlight for me was the opening number - queen medley.

    2. Walang dating si Adam Lambert. Di bagay maging lead ng Queen

    3. 244 true. Mataas boses niya, nakakabirit siya but di siya bagay sa rock.

    4. If it's not adam lambert then who else can? Ika nga ni john deacon 'there will only be pne freddie mercury'. No one can replace him but isn't it nice that queen's legacy continued because they finally found someone to be their frontman. Kudos to Rami, he deserves to win. Thank you, queen!

  7. Green Book as best picture was a bit meh in my opinion. But the actor Mahershala was superb in his performance. And yeah Shallow performance by Lady Gaga and Bradley was so enchanting and gave me the feels.

  10. Oscars always has a eay to surprise people. Green Book winning was really a surprise. People thought that Roma was locked for best Picture but hey, it's the Oscars. The night won't end wighout a bit of controversy.

  11. Colman is a really good actress. Sayang si Glenn Close. But she'll have her day soon enough.

  12. Went to see Green Book immediately after the Oscars yesterday since it was showing in Power Plant. Now I understand why it won Best Picture, napapanahon yung topics na diniscuss ng movie pero feel good and hindi mabigat. It centered on the theme of an unlikely friendship between men of different racial and socio-economic backgrounds. I was initially rooting for Roma because I love how it is so relatable for the Pinoys, but when it was named winner of the Best Foreign Language Film, I knew na tagilid ang chances nila to win Best Picture.

  13. Roma is overrated. I love Alfonso Cuarón but Roma is just like MMK.

  14. Ewan ko pero the past few years the Oscars have become such a drag. I saw this year over livestream lang (no network/cable channel here even bothered to get rights) pero the good moments were very few and far between. Same with last year.
