the more that i admire inigo. if there's something you are passionate about, and you think you can help, why not make time and inspire. i am now a fan of inigo.
see, yan ang tutulong. di kelangang big names at big corporations, kahit simpleng request ng ordinary citizen basta same ng pinaglalaban, go and make a difference.
agree. useless ang subject kasi when i was in college, the topics under the filipino subject were already discussed in high school and elementary. redundant lang
Paano siya naging useless? Kasi di siya pagkakakitaan ng pera? See, this is one of the reasons why we still remain a third world country. Masyadong commodified ang education. Oh well, what can I expect from the lot of you.
remove filipino subjects in college. i had to take 2 filipino subjects in college and i learned nothing new. im bisaya, btw and i don’t mind having filipino (subject) from elementary to high school. but let’s be honest here, the filipino subject is not really doing anything (much) to increase patriotism especially for the people in Visayas and Mindanao. We are learning the language because people from Manila tell us that we have to.
If you are settled that it did not do anything for you, then that’s your perspective. I happen to be in a literature class in early 2000’s that had Lumbera as a guest lecturer and it opened my appreciation with our native works. Maybe it did not do anything for you but you don’t speak for everyone of us, maybe you’d have better appreciation if you went to a school with better Filipino literature faculties.
Ang pag-aaral ng Filipino and its literature is a way to keep our heritage as Filipinos. Yung kulturang sa atin talaga. Hindi sya waste of time.
Sa mga ayaw nito sa college, please be reminded that our brain is more mature in college than in elementary and high school. There's more understanding and persepective lag college ka na, kumbaga hindi na lang tungkol sa tamang pagbigkas yung pag-aaral ng Filipino.
it’s not about forgetting the language. We already learned that from prep to highschool. College is supposed to equip us for our future professions. I don’t see how it contributes to my professional growth. I hope people won’t let their “pinoy pride” attitude get in the way of what’s realistic, cost efficient and essential.
Educate yourselves before dak dak.
He has compassion and genuine care. Very recently he helped stage a fundraising concert for his ailing fan with the help of some of his showbiz friends, his dad Piolo and his and Maris' fans.
