#3 in terms of the looks of it -strange looking, but once you know the story behind it, it's awe inspiring, it goes with her theme (the lava walk), and it's a hit for me.
Also #4 - because mas na emphasized yung waistline ni Cat. Sana nagamit... but oh well.
Agree with the Astana gown. It’s somethtung I want to wear myself. The 1st gown looks like something you can buy anywhere, the 3rd and 4th are nice but customey
Parang may puson sya sa no.4, sa no.3 naman Jessica Rabbit look-alike. Pero i still go with no.3 syempre, that was what she was wearing paglagay ng MU crown
Buti na lang she chose to wear the Adarna and the Lava gown. Maganda din yung silver pero she'll be the same color as thw others. Yung turquoise isn't her color.
Ang hirap pumili. In fairness kay Mak Tumang, gamay na gamay na nya yung hulma ni Catriona. At in fairness ulit, nahighlight nya yung assets ni Catriona.
1. Actually, the simpler, the better for me. We’ve been using really embellished, structured and busy gowns for Ms U. Like yung blue gown ni Pia nun di ko bet. But their symbolisms are always on point, lalo na creations ni Mak. Oh well diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks.
2 - because the color is not very common in pageants but catriona made sure that the pale/light color combination created an incredible impact using her lava walk with slow-mo twirl/turn. i must say, mak tumang is a really gifted designer. i think catriona also helped with the design and concept of this ibong adarna gown.
I hated #3 nung nakita ko sa pictures, but when i saw it in action...ang ganda ng effect. Ibang klase yung movement ng gown, mukha a lot of thought was put into how it's gonna look like kapag naglalakad ang may suot. I like #2 as well but not as much as #3, would've love to see it in gold na nagkacascade into that orange and eventually red sa bottom para mas enhanced yung phoenix effect na inspiration daw nito in combination with the ibong adarna. But i understand na if they probobly do the same effect twice eh magiging underwhelming na yung gown #3 sa finals. #4 suits her as well, i guess yung focus pulling effect towards sa waist talaga ang bagay na shape sa kanya. Don't really care much about the first gown, but that's because kakaumay na yung mga gown rendered in colors na mukhang nananansong bra, at sobrang cliche na yung ganung style especially sa pageants (which was evident nung top 5 at nagmukhang back up dancers ni catriona ang mga fellow contestants cause they were all wearing the same thing--so kudos talaga to this designer for making catriona stand out).
The lava gown. You really get it. Vibrant, glowing colors and flowing cut, tapos yung parang fiery spray sa back. Ganda! Caught my eye the moment she walked out.
Yung number 1 ang pinakamaganda at pulido ang cut sa totoo lang but if only yung kulay nya eh kulay ng number three tapos yung beading nya katulad ng number two na parang mga peacok feathers, mas okay sana sya.
1 and 3. Maganda story behind 2 and a lot of work went into it but honestly it didn't translate on stage or pics unless it's a close-up. Love the colors of 4, parang UD palette haha, pero the design is meh and I really don't like the sheer waist down look for formal gowns.
The Sinag gown (number one) and the Mayon gown (number 3). The Mayon gown/lava gown is my favorite because is seems to smolder every time Catriona would walk. I admire the craftsmanship of the gowns, I just wish that Catriona and Mak Tumang would veer away from the same old silhouette, which the world knows already works for her. They can try other form fitting silhouettes in their future collabs.

Deletesaw the first three gowns in person. I must say that 1 is the best. Better sana if same style and cut nung 1 tas color ni 3.

ReplyDeleteIbong adarna and lava gown
ReplyDelete#2!! So unique.
ReplyDelete3
ReplyDelete3
ReplyDelete3 and then 4.
ReplyDeletelava gown...but yong number 4 ang ganda ng fit.
ReplyDelete3 and 4. 4 fit na fit to her

ReplyDeletemagulo ung sinabi mo. make it more simple next time... no need to complicate
DeleteDi mo lang gets 1:35. Basa basa ng libro
Delete1 is my favorite too. At mas bet ko hair and makeup nya during her bbp win. But true na she was not in top shape that time.
Delete1:35 prof, ano to paper work at klangan irevise ung comment ni 1:02?
Deletegumawa ka sarili mong comment.

ReplyDeleteThey are all stunning. Fave ko ang lava gown and the fourth. The last one is a real standout, too bad di nagamit.
ReplyDeleteMaganda lahat pero bet ko yung 1.
ReplyDelete2

ReplyDeleteLahat maganda. The 1st 3 gowns are on display dito sa sm pampanga
ReplyDeletetheyre all nice, but I dont like how they are all the same cut
ReplyDeleteSame. Pare-parehas ng cut. But all are nice.
DeleteAll EXCEPT 4
ReplyDeletetherefore, it's not all.
Delete4:16 correct naman yung all except 4. you can mention “all except something” if the number of what you like is greater than what you dislike.
DeleteGaling ng designer no offense ha but the 4th one looks like pang aquaman.. parang kay mira. Lambat fisherman godess
ReplyDeleteBecause it's meant to be pearl of the orient seas.

ReplyDeleteBrilliant observation 😍

ReplyDelete1 and 2...
ReplyDelete3 and 4...bagay sa skintone nya and the color pops out even more unlike the other two dahil medyo kakulay ng skin niya, e medyo nagblend ito sknya
ReplyDelete2.love it. Pero grabe ang bigat pala ng 2nd and 3rd gown nya. 8kg and 10kg respectively.
ReplyDeleteTrue! Pero pagkakadala ni Cat parang wala lang. Ikaw na talaga MY QUEEN!
Delete2nd is soooo unique! But tbh i like all those 4 cos each one has significant meaning! Grabe hanga ako sakanya!!!
ReplyDelete3 has the most overall impact, and the most unforgettable one. Period.
ReplyDeleteNaka-exhibit yung first three gowns sa SM Pampanga. Mas maganda sila sa personal.
ReplyDeleteAll except 4. May hawig dun sa isang gown sa ABS CBN Ball, nalimutan ko kung sinong nagsuot.
ReplyDeleteyung gown ni maris besh, ung gold and maroon or red ba yun
DeleteOne thing in common sa lahat: ang laki ng hiwa sa kanang binti.
ReplyDeleteThe winining gown #3
ReplyDelete3, 4, 2, 1
ReplyDeleteLahat maganda. Saw the gowns on display at SM Pampanga the other day.
ReplyDeleteYung number 1 ang pinakamaganda at pulido ang cut sa totoo lang but if only yung kulay nya eh kulay ng number three tapos yung beading nya katulad ng number two na parang mga peacok feathers, mas okay sana sya.
ReplyDeleteNumber one is the best overall, yung kulay lang nya ang hindi maganda. Mukhang washed out.
ReplyDelete1 and 3. Maganda story behind 2 and a lot of work went into it but honestly it didn't translate on stage or pics unless it's a close-up. Love the colors of 4, parang UD palette haha, pero the design is meh and I really don't like the sheer waist down look for formal gowns.
