Though she had really let go during her pregnancy, I think it's fine too that she wasn't feeling miserable during pregnancy. Being pregnant is hard, you sometimes gain enormous weight even when you are eating healthy and exercise regularly.
I am very blessed to go through the pregnancy pains.
IMO letting go of yourself is not thinking about the child. may certain weight gain limit lang when you are pregnant. kapag buntis ka, all the more na kailangan mo mag-ingat sa mga kakainin mo. hindi lahat ng food ay safe for the baby. even some vitamins are not very toxic for the baby in high amounts. if a pregnant woman is really thinking about the baby, she'll watch her diet closely even more than before she got pregnant. all the more na kailangan maging conscious sa kinakan at sa exercise. healthy mommy means healthy baby. don't put your baby at risk sa premature labor at gestational diabetes. when you let go of yourself too much, you become at risk of miscarriage, still birth dahil maraming complications na pwdeng maexperience relating to weight gain like preeclampsia, etc. let's not use pregnancy as an excuse to eat whatever we want and avoid exercise and never use it to justify why we are fat. pregnancy is not easy. we should be more careful and responsible because we are growing another person inside us. it's not vanity at all to choose what's best for baby.
Good for her that her child is healthy. I just don't fully agree on what she said about her letting go of herself just so her child becomes healthy. You don't have to let go of yourself really. Mas dangerous pa nga yan sa baby kasi they become at risk sa gestational diabetes and the mommy will be at risk din sa premature labor and preeclampsia. Very dangerous both for mommy and baby. Of course there are cases na kahit super healthy ang kinakain ni mommy and nage-exercise parin ay talagang nagg-gain ng weight, pero sana people don't put it lightly na kesyo kelangan tumaba para healthy si baby. hindi required magpataba para lang maging healthy si baby. of course we pregnant ladies (yes i'm pregnant) should aim to be healthy for our baby. whatever we do affects the baby. balance is still the key. there's a certain limit lang of weight gain that is considered healthy. babies cant decide for themselves and cant control what they take in so we as mommies-to-be should be responsible. but again, glad her baby is healthy.
