    1. The GOLDEN RULE: SEATBELT. SEATBELT. SEATBELT.

  2. Wear a seatbelt at all times..kahit pa nasa likod ka nakaupo you need protection.

  3. what about the other driver? he is liable, too. more liable than the grab driver because he was the one making an illegal left turn. that's why we should also be reminded that using the seatbelt is necessary. unfortunately, people tend to forget the necessity of seatbelts when sitting at the back of the car. God bless Marko.

    1. the other driver is the one liable dahil sya nag cause ng accident, as with her allegation of speeding, ang tanong over the limit ba? ow within the speeding limit naman... kasi sa explanation pa lang nya alam na kung sino ang may kasalanan... kahit saan sila mag-abot nito ng grab matatalo sila...

    2. Oo nga sino yun other driver? Obviously sya nag cause ng accident. Habulin din nila yun.

    3. nevertheless, nasan ang patakaran ng insurance policy dito? di ba dapat insured mga yan PUV like grab and the other private owned car should be insured yun ang ibabayad nila sa bata.

    4. true. i see many faults here: - kasalanan ng left turning driver - ung victim not wearing seatbelt. although it maybe because of the car itself. lots of public transpo dont have backseat seatbelt. (I wonder if LTO or LTFRB notice this!!!) - lastly, I know for sure that when driving along the strecth of LRT/ LRT2 road is that you have to slowdown when approaching opened corners along the island as defensive driving. it's a safety precaution for other drivers who doesnt obey traffic rules and those who dont know that you have to give priority to oncoming traffic. DEFENSIVE DRIVING SAVES LIVES! Hope GRAB arranges seminar for all their drivers for reinforcement of defensive driving techniques.

    5. Please watch the news before making rash comments. Mas naexplain dun ang nangyari and it was really the grab driver's fault.

  4. This is truly heartbreaking. I hope they post where people can deposit even small amounts to help Marko and his family with the medical bills piling up.

  5. Let's make this viral, and let's not use Grab anymore! There are other ride services anyway! Wooohooo!

    1. Other ride services are also vulnerable to accidents.

    2. saan naman yang others na yan? Uber was acquired by Grab. What is the correct insurance of the passengers? Yung mga reckless na drivers at may mga traffic violations pagtatanggalin ninyo! there should be justice.

    3. if you read her post walang ksalanan ang grab sa aksidente, a car turned left in a no left turn zone, and her allegations na mabilis ang takbo, anong bilis? gaano kabilis? is it over the limit? kasi bakit nya sisisihin ang driver ng grab kung di nmn nya kasalan, tapos sasabihin nya inaantok daw... what happened to Marco is very unfortunate at nakakalungkot pero sana wag sila magbitaw ng salita...kasi kahit saan sila mapunta the police report will speak for itself... at sa dulo nyan wala pa sila makuha kahit magkano

  6. I’m sorry for what happened to him. Thatswhy, wearing seatbelt is a must. It will save a life!

  7. This is heartbreaking. We know seatbealt is priority but admit it, the rule is not heavily imposed here in our country lalo na sa mga nakaupo sa likod. I for one given its a "Grab" magiging kampante rin and might do the same and trust the driver's expertise as Grab driver. And true, wala kang laban lalo na't tulog ka habang nasa biyahe. I grieve for the mom seeing her son suffer like this and i pray for grace and miracles to happen for Marko and his family

May mga driver 24hours and shift. Tanggalin nyo yan mga ganyan.

    ReplyDelete

Let us be vigilant.

    1. Driver has no money. He is technically driving for a big company Grab. Ganun din naman pag taxi. Sa taxi, sagot lahat ng operator. So why not Grab? na mas malaking multinational corporation. It's the law, dura lex sed lex.

      Delete

      Delete
    3. she meant the other driver, na yun ang may kasalanan sa accident... she’s barking at the wrong tree ika nga...

      Delete
    4. Yup, the person liable should be the other driver. Yun ang habulin nila. The reason why grab wont pay the whole amount is because they are confident na hindi naman sila fully liable for what happened. Kahit umabot pa sa korte yan. Am sure they consulted na their lawyers for that. Ang may sala is the other driver.

      Delete
    5. he is not driving for Grab, per se. he is driving for himself if he owns the vehicle or for his operator. I am assuming Grab requires all vehicles who register with them eh comprehensive ang insurance.

      Delete
    6. Yes, my point exactly 5:54.

  13. this is a serious matter, that boy could be you or your loved ones. Pls fix this.

  15. May seatbelt law ba tayo sa pinas? Kung meron and kasali ang backseat then in violation si marco. Dont know how that affects compensation pero the fault does not lie entirely with grab so bakit sila lahat magbabayad sa bills ni marco? Even with health and medical insurance may co pay. Hindi lahat ng bills isho-shoulder nila.

  17. 1. wear seatbelt all the time even if you are in the back seat
    2. with insurance or none, the one who hit them should be the one to take care of this and not just Grab
    3. LTFRB nkikisakay sa story...
    4. back to 1. seatbelt seatbelt

    ReplyDelete
  18. in the first place, we should not wear seatbelt just because it is the law. WE SHOULD WEaR SEaTBELT FOR OUR OWN SaFETY.

Doesn't the grab car have insurance? doesn't the other car have insurance?

  19. Nakita ko news neto sa tv. Better watch it kasi mas naexplain doon. Clearly it's the grab driver's fault kasi antok na siya habang nagddrive. But the medical bills plus the permanent damage to his brain yung sobrang malala at kailangan may managot.

  20. He is our patient in ICU. Nakatulog sya during the trip. His head was badly injured kasi may mga lumabas na parts dito. His friend or gf survived. Hanggang ngaun andun pa rin sya.
