Repost: Resort Clarifies that Alice Dixson is a Resident of Boracay, Being the Wife of a Resort Executive

Alice Dixson's birthday this year turned out to be a stressful one, after she was panned by netizens for celebrating it in Boracay when the island was supposed to have been closed to tourists for rehabilitation.

But it turned out that she had the proper documents needed to enter the island, according to a statement released this Tuesday.

The management of Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay explained that Dixson is the "wife of a top executive" of the resort, and that both are considered "residents" of Boracay.

The resort also maintained that it is "not violating any government regulation regarding the closure," as it is still currently "not "accepting and entertaining guests.

The resort did not disclose the name of Dixson's husband, however. This is the first time that Dixson has been referred to as married, since she finalized her divorce back in 2013.

She is known to be in a relationship for the past few years, but she has not talked about whether she and her boyfriend had already tied the knot.

Below is the full statement:

Chroma Hospitality, Inc., the management company of Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay, reiterates that the resort is in full compliance to the closure and rehabilitation order for Boracay Island pursuant to Executive Order 53 series of 2018.

The resort is not violating any government regulation regarding the closure. It is not accepting and entertaining guests at the resort, contrary to the articles released in the media where actress Alice Dixson was seen on the island.

Ms. Dixson is the wife of a top executive of Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay. They are both residents of the island with proper documentation. This has been confirmed and verified during an inquiry done by the Department of Interior and Local Government.

"We continue to support the government’s initiative to rehabilitate the island to ensure its long-term sustainability and we look forward to welcoming our valued guests here at Crimson Resort and Spa Boracay, once the island reopens," Chroma Country Manager James Montenegro said.

    1. That's not the point. Heard of real Boracay locals posting selfies in the white beach? Nope? Because they understand the situation.

    2. Lol what an argument, kung magpost ba sila mapapansin kung hindi celebrity? How would we know. She’s a resident there so she has every right.

Nope? Your explanation is invalid.

  4. O ayan na! Pero I’m sure may magsasabi pa din ng kung ano-anong nega, na akala mo affected yung daily lives nila dahil nasa Bora si Alice D. Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  5. That is not the point of people making comments. She should know in the first place about the island being closed for rehabilitation. She should be more careful of what she is posting on her social media accounts to avoid the negative reaction of the general public.

      Delete
    3. She can't control that some Pinoys are so quick to think negatively. Instead of just saying a quick happy birthday to her, they bash her. They could've simply asked her how she's able to be there in Bora, but some decided to go below the belt. They didn't even bother to think that maybe just maybe she's a resident. Simple common sense din minsan.

      Delete
    4. It’s her account, she can post whatever she wants. Hindi nya kelangan mag-adjust sa mga iisipin ng mga memang netizens.

      Delete
  6. O ayan na.. wife daw..dami kasing mga mema eh.. porket artista agad iisipin nagtitake advantage.

      Delete
    2. Because she didn’t have to clear anything in the first place. If I were Alice, I will just enjoy my birthday on the island at deadmahin ko din ang mga low-life bashers noh!

      Delete
    3. Because she didn't need to.
