I honestly don't think he is looking down on people working in the arts field. But his actions made some think otherwise. My husband is a musician and that is our bread and butter. He studied for looong time to hone his craft but still, we get offers like this. I understand that there are people who want to celebrate big events in their lives with a top notch music ensemble but please, free service is a no-no. Musicians, like GD's and other working individuals also have bills to pay and mouths to feed. Shoutouts, exposures- they don't need a lot of that. When I was starting out in the business I was offered many projects from some well-known brands in exchange of “exposure.” My dad didn’t approve of it because he knows my worth. In the end I asked for a fee and some of them backed out. I lost some of my potential clients but I didn’t lose my dignity.

DeleteOk lang cguro ang shoutout if sing sikat cya nila anne curtis, regine v, vice-ganda but i doubt if they would even do that. Pero itong jameson nato diko talaga kilala.
ReplyDeleteokay sana ginawa nya asking someone a favor (sa mauto lang) but sana he did not broadcast it. Ang dating kasi parang super sikat nya that a shoutout will do na. I get it na simple lang pagawa nya. But he sounded so arrogant. So pls next time you post on fb, think before you click 3-5x!
ano ba problema dito? may mga nakikita rin ako sa fb mga nagpapaedit ng pic like pwede tangalin yung nasa background pero ang dami mga kalokohan edit ang ginagawa ng netizen. hahaha

DeleteWhen I was starting out in the business I was offered many projects from some well-known brands in exchange of “exposure.” My dad didn’t approve of it because he knows my worth. In the end I asked for a fee and some of them backed out. I lost some of my potential clients but I didn’t lose my dignity.
