When asked if the parents are ok about their relationship? she just said they cannot do anything now. Actually, they can. I doubt if they have accepted her considering that Indian families are very conservative and her type of work is not exactly conservative. Plus the fact that she is not Indian. More difficult if the family is affluent. If the guy could marry her, he could have married her the first month he knew she is pregnant. She will be considered a disgrace to the family.
According to my workmate from india..may strikto silang sinusunod arranged marriage daw cla tas kelangan indian din..lalo na 25 yrs old lang ang guy tas nagtatrabaho sa parents nya.itakwil daw yan pg hindi sumunod.goodluck girl
Hindi naman lahat sumusunod sa arranged marriage. Nasa guy na yan kung gusto niya. From firsthand experience, yung mga friends ko na hindi sumusunod ay yung may magagandang trabaho or mga sariling negosyo (financially independent) kaya wala silang pakialam kung matakwil sila. Karamihan sa kanila modern na din, di na sumusunod sa traditions. In fact may mga friends akong babae na nagtanan at nagpakasal without their parents. Initially tinakwil pero eventually tinanggap din kasi the parents needed someone to run their business.
kasisimula pa lang ng career sa new network nag end na agad...i hope the indian businessman is rich enough to provide for her because as she told boy abunda bread winner sya.
