Almost every Cebuano/Cebuana fell for the news that Larrañaga, Aznar, the Uy brothers and the rest of the accused were guilty and that Rusia, the “eye witness”, was legit and the hero of the day. We didn’t know better because we couldn’t make our independent research on the case since the internet was not as informative and available to everybody unlike today. All that we could turn to were biased news on TV and the newspaper. We were so gullible that time.

@12:52 and 1:04 when actors shoot a film or a show, most of the time they are only given their script and only shoot their scenes. They dont always know the script and scenes of other actors that they are not shooting the scenes with. Very possible ang sinasabi ni DB. In some shows and films, they will even shoot multiple and alternate scenes for the finale so the actors would not know the ending. This is done in post production which is no longer in any control of the actor. After seeing the movie, its highly probable that the ending was really conceled to the actors. In DBs case, she dies in the film so pwedeng hindi nya talaga alam ang ending when she accepted the role. To be fair to DB, maayos naman ang pagkakaganap nya sa movie. It was very well executed. Whatever the biases of the story was in the movie, we cannot fault the actors, thats not their job. They are there to act and bring life to their character, thats exactly what DB did.

She probably thought it’s a good project to be a part of. She may have researched but not extensively. May this be a lesson learned for artists to really dig deeper and analyze if it’s worth it because at the end of the day sila talaga nababa-bash.
